Travel Tips - Cambodia - CAMBODIA'S PEDOPHILE KING IS RELEASED

Apparently the Cambodia government doesn't value the safety of their people as they gave its children a Christmas present by secretly releasing Russian pedophile Stanislav Molodyakov aka Alexander Trofimov who is wanted by Interpol back on to the streets of Cambodia. He was sentenced to a 17-year jail term for having sex with 17 underage children. According to the Phnom Penh Post the PEDO was released Tuesday December 20th after serving only four years of that sentence due to a ROYAL pardon - Molodyakov is also a wanted man by Interpol and Russia for alleged child sex crimes in Russia with young children several of whom are between the ages of 8-10 years old

TOURISTS BEWARE PEDOS ARE THERE

With all of the wealth that a tourist might see given the number of luxury cars roaming the streets of Phnom Penh the sad state of affairs is that the majority of the nations people live on $1-2 a day therefore resulting in desperate people go through desperate measures to survive. There is no welfare program or services which lends to prostitution and parents selling their children into the child sex business.

According to the Phnom Penh Post the PEDO was released Tuesday December 20th after serving only four years of that sentence due to a ROYAL pardon. The PEDO MAN was released just in time to enjoy the holiday festivities in the seaport town of Sihanoukville which has a long history of pedophile residents and many poor families who have young girls that are targets of the PEDO population.

Molodyakov is also a wanted man by Interpol and Russia for alleged child sex crimes in Russia with young children several of whom are between the ages of 8-10 years old. He is said to have two passports one with each name. It raises the question why the Sihanoukville authorities didn't take away his alias Trofimov passport.

Cambodia has ignored Russia's extradition requests which it previously said it would honor after Molodyakov served out his 17-year sentence in Cambodia. The PEDO king has been seen driving around the streets of the seaside resort of Sihanoukvilkle in a Lexus.

The 44-year-old PEDO served only four years of a 17-year Cambodian sentence after being given a reduced sentence in June 2011. He was found guilty of having sec with 17 underage children between 2005-2007. He was secretly released Tuesday December 20th after being given a ROYAL pardon. When government Interior Affairs media officials were questioned about the release they refused comment and hung up the phone on Phnom Penh Post reporters.

The wealthy business man is involved in the $300 million development of the Koh Pous (Snake Island) Investment Company who has been given a 99 year lease by the government. Since we first arrived in Sihanoukville in the first quarter in 1999 there has been a bar/guesthouse named the Snake House also owned by Russians.

During Molodyakov/Trofimov's supposed imprisonment he has been let out at night and free to go to oversee the construction project. A government official was accused of preparing documents for his release in forging the countries Prime Minister Hun Sen's signature. The PP Post Friday December 23rd article noted that two of his child victims visited him in prison and dropped their charges against him. Other child victims in the town expressed their fear that he is back on the streets as a free man.

NGO's are up in arms regarding the release as is politician Mu Sochua who has been fighting child sex crimes for years and is featured in the documentary Red Light that reveals the problems fighting the crime due to government corruption. Sochua has maintained the position that the government has a responsibility to protect their children.

The result of this release action indicates that they are serving up Khmer children as pieces of meat to be devoured by pedophiles which is a booming tourist attraction to the Kingdom of Wonder. Now the Russian PEDO Molodyakov/Trofimov once again is free to stalk his prey... the children of Cambodia. Sochua noted that money can buy anything in Cambodia even its children.

The police officials in Sihanoukville claim that they are keeping a careful watch on the PEDO and know of his every move. The irony is they were supposed to have kept a careful watch on the PEDO when he was allowed out from prison during his prison term when he should have been watched serving his sentence IN PRISON and not permitted to leave.

The development company Koh Pous (Snake Island) Investment Company claims they are distancing themselves from him. They are also Russian. When we visited the ASEAN Tourism Forum in January 2011 we inquired about the PEDO and they claimed they knew nothing about him and added that he wasn't with the organization.

In permitting a wanted criminal to stalk the streets of Siihanoukville not only is a danger to children but to tourists with children. This holiday season the tourism authority is trying to attract tourism to the Kingdom of Wonder by promoting a sea festival to promote the area as one of the most beautiful bays in the world. A concert on Ochheuteal Beach on New Years Eve will add to the planned festivities.

Another event is being held in Ream near the airport. There is to be DJ music and hope to attract 2000 people. At the time of our inquiry there was no toilet or bathing facilities available. It is also not clear who is promoting the event. Our requests to the Tourism authority regarding the promotions have been unanswered. They do take the time to report that the areas 4000 hotel and guest house rooms are fully booked from December 4th to January 4th. The numbers don't make sense as with 4000 rooms in the area the government expects a turnout of 50 to 80 thousand attendees.

Sihanoukville are fully booked. Literally there is no room left," said Vath Chamroeun Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia told the Phnom Penh Post in their December 19th edition.

What people have forgotten is the Water Festival tragedy that claimed hundreds of lives last year in Phnom Penh when people panicked while going over a bridge. Prior to the event a government official boldly predicted 4 million people would attend. After the tragedy they gave attendee numbers of 1 million. The amount of security on hand to control a crowd that was three million less than projected was inadequate to do that job. Poor festival security planning was brought into account for the tragedy.

Telethons were aired that raised millions of dollars to compensate the families for the loss of family members and pay for their cremation expenses. A memorial statue was built near the site of the tragedy but there has been no report of the families being given the money and if any... how much. TIC, TIC, TIC, (This is Cambodia).
