MEGHAN & CHEYNE WIN 7 OF 12 LEGS

"She's an amazingly strong and intelligent woman," said Cheyne Whitney (23) about his girlfriend Meghan Rickey (23) after they won the US $1 million first prize of the Amazing Race 15th edition. In doing so the couples won seven of the 12 legs of the race and were greeted by most of the competitors in the race at famed singers Wayne Newton's house in Las Vegas, Nevada the finish line for the competition in a race that visited 12 countries in 23 days.

Meghan was the stronger of the two in taking charge when tough decisions had to be made and took on a strength and endurance test in finding a clue buried in haystacks. In a previous Amazing Race season this task took its toll on a team who couldn't do it and host Phil Koeghan met them in a field in the dark of night to inform them that they were eliminated.

Cheyne and Meghan won the final leg the hard way by losing the lead after the second task to reach the Monte Carlo hotel behind brothers Sam and Dan. The task was to count out exactly $1 million in poker chips of various denominations to receive their next clue. They then met Wayne Newton in a suite at the MGM Grand Hotel who told them they had to go to the finish line at his house. He didn't give them an address they had to find it.

The duo won due to their intelligence and attention to detail while keeping cool under pressure. When things got emotional it was Meghan who calmed things down.

Sam and Dan finished second and Brian and Erika who never finished first in any leg of the race finished third.

OHH PLEASE!!! AMERICAN IDOL TO RETURN

If you've seen the promotion ads on the Star World Network in Southeast Asia then you know that American Idol will begin its new season in January. One ad had Simone Cowell asking the question, "Did you miss me?" After that comment let's take a moment and bow our heads and pray.

Another ad has Kara DioGuardi stating that there is a new judge this season without an explanation. What does that mean there will be someone to take the place of the rejected Paula Abdul and there will be four judges again this season? Cowell has been quoted as saying that a four judge system doesn't work. He's right. They all in stretching their egos have too much to say and the shows run overtime as was the case last season.

Starting December 21st Star Word will televise some of last season's shows. Their promos include scenes with the infamous Bikini Girl who didn't make it to the regular competition but created more of a stir than any other contestant who did. Stay tuned….

LARRY KING MEETS THE JACKSON FIVE

While Michael Jackson's body in barely adjusted to being buried in the ground his brothers appeared on the Larry King show last week to promote their new reality show. From the clips aired on the program depicted the group in the recording studio arguing how to record a record and what goes in ad what is to be deleted. Jackie the elder of the brothers seemed to have the most to say about what should be left in as an identity of what a Jackson Five record should sound like.

Also on the show was Jermaine who had the most to say I an egotistical sort of way, Tito and Marlon. The youngest Randy wasn't present.

What was strange about the interview is that they all agreed that it was their father's overly strong discipline that made them successful and that they wouldn't have been a success without him. With that said they also noted that the father would not appear on the reality show but their mother would.
