PINOY DREAM ACADEMY FINAL - WHO WILL WEAR THE CROWN?

The Pinoy DREAM ACADEMY FINAL will be televised tomorrow Saturday, December 16 at 8:30pm on TFC (The Filipino Channel).

As in the past the start time could be as late as 20 minutes due to erratic scheduling by the network. Figure on monitoring the channel every five minutes if it doesn't start on time. The length of the show may factor into an earlier start time.

After four months of competition from 20 selected students of the arts it all comes down to the final six candidates of three boys and three girls. Among the finalists are Yeng, Panky and Irish.

The Pinoy Dream Academy is a talent development TV show from the Philippines where there is an abundance of talent. The show recruited internationally those that had Philippine lineage. That resulted in contestants that were living in the USA, Japan, Dubai, Netherlands, Italy, Australia and several other countries to be on the show.

The shows purpose was to train the contestants to be entertainers and live in a house together like the Big Brother TV show.

Since the show began in August they have made several changes while in production. They originally chose 16 contestants. A day later they added four more bringing the total to 20 contestants.

A heavy focus was on singing and performing as they attended vocal lessons classes and performed on the TV show on Saturday nights.

The show is usually rerun on Sunday at 10:30am. Again the time may vary due to the reasons previously noted.

We will post a show review and the results Monday.

FRESHIE BOY AND GIRL SHOW

The first elimination round of Cambodia's Freshie Boy & Girl Contest is scheduled to be televised Saturday December 16 at 5:30pm.

This will be the first of three elimination shows in December. That will bring the total to seven boys and seven girls that will continue on to the finals on January 27.

Through that time the contestants will be trained for the show and make public appearances throughout Cambodia.

They will also live in a house together. That experience is factored into the final result of who will be the next Freshie Boy & Girl champions.

How they interact with each other, behavior, manners and etiquette is factored into the decision making of a committee of five according to one of the events organizers and producer of the program Boonkerd Angamnuaysri the Regional Director of the Singha's Beer's parent company Boonrawd Trading International, LTD the shows main sponsor.

Be warned.

Last week the show went on the air at 5:00pm without notice to the sponsors or public. The same may apply this week. Stay tuned an update will be posted Monday.

ULTIMATE FIGHTER FINAL

The Ultimate Fighter mixed martial arts reality TV show will televise a rare tripleheader Monday, December 18 on the AXN channel at 7pm Cambodia - Thailand time. The show does repeat later in the week. See schedule below.

As was the case last season the show will included a fight between two pro fighters. This year Pete Diaz who is ranked in the Top 10 of the UFC will fight one of last years two Ultimate Fighter champions Diego Sanchez.

Of the four Ultimate fighters from two divisions heavyweight and welterweight there are two fighters welterweight Luke Cummo and heavyweight Brad Imes that were not picked at all by the team captains Matt Hughes (Current UFC Welterweight Champion) and Rich Franklin (Current UFC Middleweight Champion).

When all of the other fighters were chosen they were left over and assigned to the team that needed one more fighter. Cummo will be fighting for the welterweight championship and Imes a former professional football player for the heavyweight title.

Heavyweight Rashad Evans will fight Imes. It will be Evans fourth fight while the others fought only two times. The programs fight selection process has its problems that make it unfair that all fighters don't fight the same amount of fights, particularly in a BLOOD SPORT.

Evans had three tough fights and was battered and beaten physically before he reached the final. Will Evans win the title? TUNE IN AND FIND OUT the WINNERS on the AXN channel at 7:00pm Monday December 18.

NOTE:

Due to the length of the program with three fights scheduled this program may be televised earlier. Last season it started at 6:30pm. This is a tape of a show that originally aired last November 2005 in the USA and can be moved to a different time slot depending on the country you reside in.

WORLD'S APART

WORLD'S APART is a good TV show to watch on the AXN channel. It sends an American family to a foreign land to live with indigenous people for 10 days. The family has to adapt to their culture and ways.
