CELEBRITY APPRENTICE GOOD vs. EVIL

As they say life isn't fair. It's one thing when one gets fired because they've done something wrong it's another when they didn't and that was the case for former heavyweight boxing champion Lennox Lewis who was stellar and due to his celebrity was a top draw for tasks throughout the competition and recorded a 2-0 record as a project manager.

Donald Trump fired him because he was too laid back and nice. Lewis also admitted that he needed Piers Morgan on his team to win while pointing out that Piers also needed him. The result being as the old adage goes nice guys finish last. Thus Lewis was shown the door.

Model Carol Alt also had a 2-0 record as project manager but she suffered the same fate as Trump gave her praise for her abilities but preferred to see country recording artist Trace Adkins compete against Morgan because he felt there was animosity between them. Trump wanted to see Morgan who he deemed EVIL against Adkins who he deemed GOOD. He thought it would be a better television show of good verses evil.

"I love the friction between these two guys," Trump told Alt. "I want to see these two guys fight. To me it's good verses evil, England verses the United States. Carol you're fired," he added.

As the two remaining challengers departed the board room they promised each other that they would kick the others ass. Therefore, it's ass kicking time on the Celebrity Apprentice this Wednesday night on the Star World channel.

If this was a physical fight the odds would favor Adkins a mans man who at 6'7" towers over Lennox Lewis. Adkins was a football player at Louisiana Tech University and has also been known for his barroom brawls.

Adkins is a singer-songwriter and actor. He made his singing debut in 1996 with the album Dreamin' Out Loud, released on Capitol Records Nashville. Since then, he has released six more studio albums and two Greatest Hits compilations. He has charted more than twenty singles on the Billboard country music charts, including the Number One hits "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing", "Ladies Love Country Boys", and "You're Gonna Miss This", which peaked in 1997, 2007, and 2008 respectively. All but one of his studio albums have received gold or platinum certification in the United States; his highest-selling to date is 2005's Songs About Me, which has been certified 2× Multi-Platinum for shipping two million copies.

Morgan is more of a thinking man and unlikely to win any physical fight with a man. His strength is his intelligence and cunning. It's his perceived cutthroat tactics that has drawn criticism. Trump pointed out that he was probably the least liked person on the show and Morgan defended his actions, "I consider myself neither unethical nor immoral. I consider myself a tough businessman."

Trumps daughter Ivanka pointed out that Morgan's personality rubbed people the wrong way. When Trump asked Adkins if he would invite Morgan to the Grand Old Opry (country music performance show in Nashville, Tennessee) Adkins quickly responded, "NO."

Trump called back four of the eliminated contestants to be on their teams, Carol Alt, Stephen Baldwin, Marilu Henner and Lennox Lewis. Surprisingly Morgan chose Baldwin to be on his team although they have had some serious disagreements. Morgan basically pointed the finger at Baldwin that he was hiding behind his born again Christian status resulting from his guilt of the wrongs he did in his life thus Baldwin turned to religion. Morgan also chose Alt while Lewis and Henner joined Adkins. The task scope is to organize a charity auction and concert featuring the Backstreet Boys.

Morgan played his high brow pedigree card calling on his connections as he reached out to Fergie the Duchess of York (oh please!!!) to assist him to raise money. She agreed and appeared on camera and committed to be apart of Morgan's quest to be the Celebrity Apprentice champion.

Adkins being a country singing star has performed numerous concerts and noted that many things requested on a rider (requirements added to a contract) weren't necessary. When he called their manager the BSB manager didn't know who Adkins was. When Adkins met with the group BSB's Nick Carter asked for wheat grass juice.

The request stunned Adkins who asked, "Are you punkin me (making a fool of him)? Is this a joke?" As he walked out the door Adkins looked into the camera and said that "These guys are going to bust my balls all day." On the preview segment for this weeks show Adkins received another wild request when the band called to inform him that a member of the group forgot his black finger nail polish.

The final show should be an interesting on for music lovers and fans of BSB.This episode features two first-time occurrences for The Apprentice: a live satellite feed from overseas (Tokyo, Japan) with for former contestant Gene Simmons' appearing and a first live musical performance with Trace Adkins singing. Tune in Wednesday night on the Star World channel in Southeast Asia.

AMERICAN IDOL'S NEW JUDGE

The return of American Idol has turned the Star World channel schedule around. The Jerry Seinfeld show was dropped from its 11:30 PM time slot on Wednesday and Thursday. An American Idol repeat of the earlier telecast takes its place. In some countries in Southeast Asia Idol can be seen four times a day. If all goes as it did in previous seasons that schedule will continue until they reach the final 12 contestants. From that point the show has aired on Wednesday nights only with repeats that evening and at mid day on Thursday. Seinfeld maintains the 11:30 PM slot Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
