American Idol used and abused 25-year-old contestant Jermaine Jones by televising their dismissal of him from the show due to four outstanding warrants out for his arrest. As of this time research reveals that this unforgivable crime was driving without a license which stemmed Idol's televised sensational execution of the New Jersey native is one of the most deplorable episodes ever in television history - Recommended TV Listings

ANYTHING FOR TV RATINGS - THE TELEVISED EXECUTION OF THE GENTLE GIANT

It was beat the nigger down day Tuesday March 13th, 2012 on American Idol as the shows host Ryan Seacrest opened up the program with a suspenseful announcement, "You know throughout the years, this show has not been without its fair share of controversy. And tonight is no exception," he said.

"With the cooperation of law enforcement, we discovered information that left us with no choice but to eliminate one of our finalists from the competition. When you're doing a live show, anything can happen." Seacrest then exclaimed his show opener…) "THIS is American Idol!"

It was an Ohhhh My moment. It was brain rattling time as the set up was in place to keep the viewing audience in anticipation to see who would perform and who would be missing. Near the end of the almost two hour program with all but three acts Joshua Ladet and Skylar Laine and Hollie Kavanagh (i.e. one guy and two girls) yet to perform the bomb was dropped that Jermaine Jones was the guilty now ex-contestant. The question was WHAT DID HE DO TO SET UP SUCH A DRAMATIC MOMENT?

Jones was then seen walking into a room with Idol's executive producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick both Englishmen. Jones wore a blue hat and a blue on white stripped shirt.

"What's up," Jones asked. Lythgoe and Warwick questioned him about four active warrants out for his arrest and that twice last year in March and November he gave a fictitious name to the New Jersey police to avoid being taken in for warrants for his arrest which is against the law. His violations for having four warrants weren't stated but an Internet search revealed that he had his driver's license suspended and was caught driving without a license and that led to his giving a false name.

The Idol English management duo also questioned him about being involved in a physical altercation to which Jones denied and defended himself by saying that he fell down the stairs while carrying bags and couldn't walk thus the police and paramedics came to take him to the hospital. He has screws in his foot which necessitated medical assistance. He also admitted to having a verbal argument with a friend but no punches were thrown.

The English executive producers said that he didn't tell them about his warrants and noted that they have had contestants with problems in the past and they could and have helped them. They went on to state that the rules of the show are anyone with an outstanding warrant cannot be on the program which contradicts their statement that they could help if he came to them with the truth.

The Pine Hill, New Jersey native then said he was afraid to tell them because, "I was just scared nervous because I didn't want to get judged, I didn't want to get penalized for anything that happened in the in the past. I was just hoping that I could just pay it and hope to get it taken care of and it just didn't work out that way."

Warwick said, "You've put us in a very delicate position really. We have to let you go I'm afraid. I'm sorry it's the end of the road."

Both Idol producers admitted that they heard him sing in the rehearsal and said he was fabulous and it was the best that they ever heard him sing.

As the Gentle Giant rose from his seat to shake hands and walk away the cameras continued to roll as he walked out the door to a car to take him away. They then showed Jones singing the song the praised him for at rehearsal. Jones was wearing the same clothes he in the rehearsal as he did in the dismissal meeting lending speculation that he rehearsed and then was called into the meeting with the CAMERAS ROLLING.

The sequence indicated that it was a plan to televise his execution. The closing shot on the last note of the song was a white car taking him away. IT WAS PURE THEATER.

"We will certainly miss Jermaine's talent on the show and we miss him the very best of luck in his future," Seacrest said after the sensationalized televised execution of the fallen Gentle Giant before millions of viewers around the world. As former Saturday Night Live's church lady said, "Isn't that lovely."

THE PROBLEM IS that it was the most embarrassing thing done in bad taste to STAGE AND VIDEO TAPE THE EXECUTION OF A CONTESTANT for the sake of TV show ratings. It is typical of the English style of sensationalized journalism (?) exemplified in the phone tapping case of Rupert Murdoch's tabloids. Idol's actions absolutely lacked any kind of class.

Yes Jones was dishonest and broke the rules but to use and abuse him like that to an International TV audience was disgraceful. His crime was driving without a license not murder, robbery or assault. No contestant should be treated like that regardless of what they did. They used him up in the most shameful manner.

While the state of Mississippi is releasing criminals with a murder records the state of New Jersey is focusing on arresting a young man who has a criminal record of warrants for driving without a license. Any hope of this young lad from an impoverished background has now been diminished.

The situation reeks of a previous New Jersey law enforcement tragedy in wrongfully arresting former boxing great Ruben "Hurricane" Cater who was set up and convicted on a murder charge because a policeman who knew him since he was a child DIDN'T LIKE HIM. It was so sensational that the film Hurricane was made.

If Idol truly wanted to help Jones as they implied while noting that they have helped other contestants with problems in the past they could have done so in a more DIGNIFIED manner in PRIVATE. They used Jones and EXPLOITED him.

The potential consequence of Idol's poor handling of the situation could have more of a mental negative effect on the 25-year-old Jones. Jones needed help and advice NOT ABUSE.

Now the question is here is a young man with a great voice who had a chance to turn his life around but was treated like a murderer so how will that affect him psychologically? American Idol is a disgrace to humankind and should be ashamed of themselves. HELP? What a joke. To Idol it appears that Jones is just a nigger unworthy of help. It was clearly a case of beat the nigger down day. Stay tuned…
