(SOL) $#1T OUTTA LUCK

The poker ladies Maria Ho and Tiffany Michelle who appeared to be the Amazing Race producer's favorite team as they were spared twice from elimination had their luck finally come to an end. The girls finished last on the first leg only to be spared by it being a continuation non elimination leg for the season opening two hour special episode and again when they finished last in Phnom Penh but were lucky enough to be saved again since another team lost lost their passport and couldn't continue in the race without travel documents.

You can hear James Brown singing 'Oh please, please, please' in the background as the ladies sauntered off into the Holland sunset after Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan met them on a challenge that they could not complete thus eliminated. The girls make a living at cards but their future in golf is not in the cards as the challenge was use a special set of golf clubs and play 3 holes of Farmersgolf. Both team members took turns with each stroke and had to finish within par of 8 strokes on each hole to receive their next clue.

Though the series is currently airing the race actually finished several months ago. The irony is last week Ho appeared on CNN's 360 program with the topic being how women have progressed in acceptance and that they could achieve and get things done. Ho had a lot to say but the Amazing Race experience was not addressed.

In a behind the scenes Amazing race moment the girls being the seventh team eliminated were not sent to the villa in Phú Qu?c, Vietnam where eliminated teams stay until the completion of the race. While the eliminated teams were playing cards, Maria and Tiffany called the villa to inform them of their elimination. They tried to explain to the other teams the true reason they were eliminated, but none of the eliminated teams believed their story, as they had lied about their professions in the early stages of the race. The told the teams they would see them at the end city. Several teams expressed their resentment of them as well as their satisfaction that they were eliminated from the race and would not be joining them at the villa.

The self proclaimed token gays on the show brothers Sam and Dan finished first on the last leg making it the second time they have achieved that. Meghan & Cheyne have finished first three times making them the most successful team on the race thus far. The Globetrotters have finished in the top 3 five of the seven legs including one first, two seconds and three thirds. They have made it be known that they are a team to be reckoned with.

This episode received the highest ratings for the season thus far surpassing the Phnom Penh lost passport episode. Only five teams remain to compete for the $1 million first prize.
