WILL CHAMPLIN... The Voice with 9 Lives?

This season of The Voice is somewhat of a disappointment in more ways than one. For starters viewers in the Asian Pacific Rim aren't seeing the original telecasts in America. Asian viewers are shown a delayed telecast as much as six days behind America's version. The result is many of the contestants performances aren't shown in Asia.

The most standout contestant is Will Champlin the son of a musician Bill Champlin who was a member of the band Chicago but he was not an original. Will is living a charmed life of a cat with none lives as he was originally three chair turn around of the judges that wanted him. Champlin chose Adam Levine to be his mentor but Levine cut him after he paired him with James Wolpert. Levine chose Wolpert and Champlin was off the show but he had some lick as he was stolen by judge/mentor Christina Aguilera.

In another pairing of teammate verses teammate Aguilera paired Champlin with Matthew Schuler and she chose Schuler thus Champlin was eliminated for the second time. Hi cat-life resurfaced as Levine stole Champlin back to his team to go through to the regular season live round shows in which the judges lose their right to decide the winner but it is done by the results of a public vote and i-Tune sales results of the contestant's performance.

Champlin is working on his fourth life in the live performance rounds as he failed to receive enough votes to remain on the show but luck again was on his side since in this round a judge can save one of their team up for elimination. Levine chose to save Champlin over Grey and Preston Pohl thus Champlin will be working overtime on his fourth life after having been eliminated three times but continues to remain in the game due to saves.

Champlin is one of three other contestants that were saved by their judge/mentors to compete with the other eight selected by the public's vote. These shows aired earlier in the week in America but will be telecast tonight Sunday, November 10, 2013 and tomorrow the 11th on the AXN Channel in a special double show edition. With six episodes of the show remaining the question is how long can Champlin continue to be eliminated but saved to remain on the show? Does he have NINE LIVES? Tune in or be tuned out.

SHIPPING WARS

One of the most enjoyable shows on the air to help you laugh is Shipping Wars on the BIO Channel. This Tuesday the show will begin to air a NEW SEASON in the Pacific Rim region. What makes this show work is the diverse personalities and equipment they have to make ship around America.

Shipping Wars is a reality TV series on that is televised on the A&E channel in America that began airing on January 10, 2012. The show follows six independent carriers who have discovered that fortunes can be made transporting items that traditional carriers either cannot or will not haul.i The series also features uShip, the world's largest online auction house for independent truckers.

Featured carriers are Marc Springer ("The Big Rig"), Roy Garber ("The Handyman"), Jennifer Brennan ("The Cowgirl"), Jarrett Joyce ("The Rookie") and Christopher Hanna and Robbie Welsh ("The Hotshot Couples"). In a typical episode, the carriers place bids on two jobs listed on uShip, in a reverse auction format. Each client has the option of awarding the job either to the lowest bidder, or to a higher bidder based on feedback from previous clients.

Ties are broken in favor of the carrier with the higher average feedback rating. Winners load their cargo and attempt to deliver it intact by the client's deadline. Feedback ratings from clients are displayed as the loads are delivered. At the end of the episode, each carrier's net profit or loss is tallied on-screen, with the expenses (fuel, labor, late-delivery penalties, fines, etc.) subtracted from the bid amount to determine the overall profit or loss. At times, a carrier will arrange to haul one or more additional loads on the same trip, with the extra money figured into his/her tally.

Springer ("The Big Rig") has an advantage since he owns a huge truck and super long trailer. Due to the size of his equipment he can take shipments that are too large for the rest of the shippers. He has a salty sense of humor and has a tendency to put down his competitors in a joking manner.

Our favorite is Garber ("The Handyman") who claims he is perfect and is by far has the saltiest humor of all. He's sarcastic about most everything including insulting his customers. The humor is he's so outspoken but most often right about his sarcastic opinions. He appears to be a big man by the way he talks and his appearance on camera but on one show he was called Mighty Mouse by one of his customers who complimented Roy on his strength in relation to his small stature.

Brennan ("The Cowgirl") is our second most favorite as she often takes on more than she can chew but eventually gets the job done. She is attractive but she was raised on a farm and knows how to handle animals which is most often her choice of shipment when available.

Joyce ("The Rookie") comes off as a klutz that makes more mistakes than money. His van and trailer are too small to do most jobs. His equipment frequently breaks down causing him to be late. His situation caused him to lose money. He has to take time for repairs thus losing money and being late on delivery.

Christopher Hanna and Robbie Welsh ("The Hotshot Couples") are the least interesting personality and laugh wise but they are capable in getting the job done.

This season is being promoted as having some of these shippers to team up and work together. In a previous season Roy and Jennifer did so and it was a nightmare as she drove him crazy about his smoking and she talked too much for his liking. This is a worth watch show on the BIO Channel.
