CONTENDER 2 Boxing Reality Series FINAL

The Contender 2 FINAL is scheduled for telecast tomorrow Monday November 26 at 6 PM and replayed Tuesday November 27 at 7 AM and NOON in the Thailand/Cambodia time zones. The show airs an hour later in Honk Kong and Singapore. The semifinals are replayed Monday at 7 AM and NOON Cam/Thai time.

Two More BIG BRO Contestants QUIT SHOW

Was it James Brown that sang 'It's A Man's World'? Well that certainly applies to the Philippines Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 show, as six of the house departures have been female. But here's the twist. Just three days after our critique that something was wrong in the house and there was too much production and seemingly very little show management two of the housemates QUIT (aka Voluntary Eviction) the show.

Actress-stand up comedienne Ethel Booba and songwriter/musician Marco Fundales aka Mcoy decided that they had enough and walked out of the house. Before departing Mcoy told the housemates of his displeasure with the goings on and said "Enough of this $#!t," and he cut the Big Bro show loose from his life. In doing so he became the first male member of the house to leave the show.

There was an on camera confrontation between Mcoy and Big Bro regarding plagiarism. The 30-year-old musician felt the rift was unjust and mentioned adaptation. After the conversation Mcoy expressed himself to his housemates while becoming angrier at every moment before he reached the boiling point and announced his intention to leave.

Earlier in the month Booba packed her belongings with the intention to leave the show. The housemates talked her out of it but she was acting strangely in the process. Big Bro instructed Will to take a single edged razor from her when she was in the yard contemplating her exit.

The Big Bro argument with Mcoy was resolved in a show shortly following the duo's exit. They were featured on camera in an interview with Big Bro who apologized to the songwriter that wrote the theme song of the previous Big Brother shows. Both Mcoy and Booba were heavily favored to be in the prize winning Final Big Four.

There are now only nine contestants remaining including Mariel Rodriguez who in reality is not an official contestant. She was a co-host of the show and then instructed to remain in the house to be Big Bro's in house spy. That leaves only two females as legitimate housemates. Mariel's photo is not included on the shows website as a contestant. Booba's and Mcoy's departures make it three voluntary evictions (joining Gaby) thus far for the program.

In his Big Bro website bio it was asked, Will Mcoy succeed in making the house sing in harmony? Will he be the one dancing "Pinoy Ako" to the top?

The results are in the final analysis is that though Mcoy tried obviously not. He gave it his best and left behind a legacy in a song that he sang on the program that is ironically is titled 'Whenever I See You Again' and is now often used as background music in the shows production.

As we mentioned last week the show is rapidly 'Slippin Into Darkness' due to over production, under management and too many demeaning childish tasks and punishments for an adult cast. To the shows credit they did not try to conceal the problem as it aired the confrontation on following Big Bro programs throughout the week.

AMAZING RACE ASIA HOT

It seems the production team of Amazing Race Asia have learned from their mistakes from last season. One of the participants this season said that last years contestants were boring. Agreed. There were too many foreign contestants that were living in Asia which resulted in the show not having a true Asian flavor. This season there are more good looking Asian participants who have vibrant, competitive personalities.

Judging from the first show this season the series is edited in a faster pace and the tasks and sites visited are more interesting. They used Internet technology by having a task using an Nokia N-95 phone for satellite directions to find a location for a clue.

Transportation has been upgraded with contestants traveling on Singapore Airlines while last season they traveled on budget carrier Air Asia. We rate this a WW (worth watching). The series is televised on the AXN Network. Air times are listed below.

NBA GAMES ON TV

NBA (National Basketball Association) games are televised in the Southeast Asia region on the Star Sports television Network on Friday and ESPN Saturday's. Start times vary depending on the time in the region of the USA that the games are televised from.

Two games are scheduled to be televised by the NBA on Saturday. The Boston Celtics vs. The Miami Heat with Shaquille O'Neal is scheduled for an 8:00 AM Thai/Cam start and the Los Angeles Clippers vs. the Denver Nuggets at 8:30 AM. At the time of this writing ESPN hadn't announced, which game it would carry.
