Antonella (WOW!) Barba raised some eyebrows on American Idol as did the Bikini Girl.

NR TOP 10 December 2009 - SPORTS RULE - THE NBA & LAKERS RETURN

James Loving - National Radio Text Service

Sports columns took six of the top 10 positions - Video Beat made the list at # 10 featuring American idol’s bikini girl Katrina Darrell who rocked AI’s world and caused a major stir and raised some male sexual feelings in the process. Also mentioned is Antonella Barba who also created some (excuse us Marvin Gay) sexual feelings. Our experimental PRESS RELEASE feature was well received as it took the fifth spot

Saturday December 26, 2009

THE WAY IT IS

As we close out the year sports rule for our final NR Top 10 for 2009. Sports columns took six of the top 10 positions. The top story is appropriate for the current events in football with the changes made at Man City and the interest in Guus Hiddink as our February column titled HIDDINK PLAYS RUSSIAN ROULETTE focusing on his move to Chelsea ranks number one.

In the second the spot is an old story from October 2005 titled Cambodia's 1st International Game On Home Soil In Four Years Prince Norodom Ranariddh Sihanouk is interviewed by ESPN. Its interest probably was sparked by the recently completed SEA Games.

Our Phnom Penh column took the 9th spot and we're a bit confused why all of the fuss about that article because when it was published it was all but ignored. The headlines subject is US AMBASSADOR TO CAMBODIA MUSSOMELI DEPARTS.

After reviewing the column we have a second opinion that it could have something to do with one of our first Top Phnom Penh stories and some TV coverage in the land of Angkor Wat. Whatever drives the interest in that article is a mystery so now it's up to you so check it out and decide for yourself.

Our Video Beat column featuring American idol's bikini girl Katrina Darrell who rocked AI's world and caused a major stir by raising some male sexual stimulus in the process continued to remain on the list at # 10 down from first place last month. Also we noticed that included in the piece Antonella Barba is mentioned. Barba also created some (excuse us Marvin Gay) sexual feelings during her appearance on the AI program.

Our 2008 second quarter review continues to be a top read as it continues to make the charts in talking the seventh spot and had been on the charts most of the year. That review is spiced with Luiz Filepe Scolari dominated the quarter taking the top story prize when he announced that it was he and not Ronaldo who was moving on and taking the mangers post at Chelsea. Former Beatle Ringo Starr defied all odds (particularly mine) as he went on tour at the ripe old age of 67. David Cook won the American Idol title in somewhat of a shocker as runner-up David Archuleta was perceived to be the winner prior to the votes being tallied. Talk show host Larry King continues to be one of our top stories of interest. For this column we surmise THE BEAT GOES ON.

Japanese Fire Works - MVP Hideki Matsui helps Yankees Win World Series remains on the charts in taking the seventh spot down from third.

Last month we experimented in segmenting the column into two parts for trade secret reasons and the results are starting to come in. Last month we separated the text from the charts for easy access. This month we have reverted to our standard style of all in one. What came out of our experiment was we added something new by presenting the top five press releases. We went against our rule as it is our practice to only list NR generated content.

What came out of the experiment is the PRESS RELEASE feature was well received as it took the fifth spot. We are listing this as if it was a CNN BREAKING STORY. We're not overreacting as does CNN but simply want to share with our readers and partners that it worked thus we are listing it in the Top 10 on a trail basis. What releases gained the greatest public interest? Check it out.

ARCHIVES

In our Archive features we take a look back at the NBA in NBA Trivia regarding The Philly [Philadelphia] Connection - Many felt that the 1967 Philadelphia 76ers championship team is the greatest ever for one season. The team had more chemistry than met the eye.

Also HERE'S WHAT we TOLD YOU about the LAKERS DIE-NASTY. The Lakers and Rodman relationship would never work. See "Rodman Sacrificed" Filed February, 26 1999 - Lakers were a team in turmoil and about to explode. See "Lakers Time Bomb" Filed March 10 - The Lakers DO EXPLODE with the trade of Eddie Jones and Elden Campbell to the Charlotte Hornets for Glen Rice and JR Reid. See "Lakers Bombs Away" Filed March 12. The Lakers won't win the NBA Championship without Rodman (We got that wrong). See "Dennis Rodman Released". filed March 23.

Sit back, take a look and SMILE....

MOST VISITED SECTIONS

In our most visited sections Cambodian Sports topped the list followed by Sports Notes. The big surprise was the return the BIZ WHO IS section. We admit that we have been neglecting adding material to that section but there is something in there that makes it a happening section. What is it? Take a look it's up to you.

Now that the NBA season is in full swing so has the interest in our Los Angeles Lakers section. The remainder of the list is basically unchanged with a variation is positions.

The Top 10 most visited sections are:
