The Premier League's Weapon of Mass Destruction - It's nothing new for Chelsea to undergo turmoil after the season starts. The clubs owner Roman Abramovich was at it again repeating his dealings with Jose Mourinho and laying it on Carlo Ancelotti. The question is what's up with that? - ARSENE AGREES re A TEAM SALARY CAP - BECKHAM'S LEGACY - CAN THE NBA's CLEVELAND CAVALIERS GOOD DEED ERASE BAD KARMA?

THERE'S A FUNGUS AMONG US

It's strange but the International football media seem to have Alzheimer's disease as their memory about Chelsea's demise this season seems to have escaped them.

After the team started off the season as world beaters the team's owner Roman Abramovich started his meddling antics again i.e. shades of Jose Mourinho. Without manager Carlo Ancelotti's knowledge RAMO (not RAMBO) dismissed Ancelotti's assistant Ray Wilkins and replaced him with Nigerian Michael Emenalo, the club's former opposition scout. Prior to that time Ancelotti's face was filled with smiles which have since been turned to frowns.

The team went 8 W -1 D -1 L though October and 9-1-2 when Wilkins was released from his duties November 11th as assistant first team coach. From that point they went 1-4-4 through their 1-0 loss to Wolverhamptom Wanderers January 5th. Since the Wilcox change the team has slid down to fifth on the table with a 10-5-6 record. The side has won just one of the last nine Premiere League games.

The talk now is of Ancelotti losing his job. The problem is that Chelsea's skid is not his fault. Too many of his hands in the broth Abramovich is. His blundering moves have taken the positive winning energy out of the club who now are faced with a season of gloom and doom.

As is well known Mourinho survived the Abramovich assassination attempt on his career. The Special One moved on to Inter Milan and led them to the Serial title and the Champions League title the Abramovich so badly wants Chelsea to win. The Special One topped things off by winning the treble last season including the UEFA Champions League, Serie A title and Coppa Italia. His most recent accomplishment was winning the FIFA World Coach of the Year for Men's Football Award.

Of the four managers in the hot seat for sacking Liverpool made the first move by relieving Roy Hodgson of his duties by mutual consent. The cellar dweller West Ham's Avram Grant is most likely follow. Aston Villa is in the relegation zone holding on to the 18th spot and manager Gerard Houllier is on the hot seat. All of that makes sense given those teams poor performances throughout the season but Ancelotti was sabotaged after a strong start that had many feeling they were a sure shot to run away with the English Premiere League title.

For Ancelotti to be the scapegoat goat for Abramovich's disrupting the team's winning chemistry would be an injustice. The media are throwing the weight on him for the Chelsea's failings indicating they have a short term memory and poor evaluation skills.

After the latest Abramovich meddling antic if Ancelotti is sacked any manager with any sense should avoid being lured to take the Chelsea job and be in the clutches of the present day Jack the Ripper aka Roman Ambramovich who is earning the reputation of being the Premier League's Weapon of Mass Destruction.

ARSENE AGREES regarding A TEAM SALARY CAP

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has come around to our way of thinking regarding a team salary cap. Wenger said on ESPN Asia (Singapore) January 5th that each (English Premiere League) team should have a cap of 100£ thus every team would be on a level playing field.

BECKHAM'S LEGACY

David Beckham won't go away he's determined to play the game till he drops. The eternal man who will turn 36 in May hopes to play in the 2014 World Cup when he will be 39. Diminishing Skills or not Mr. Posh should be given credit for his strong will and endurance...

CAN THE NBA's CLEVELAND CAVALIERS GOOD DEED ERASE BAD KARMA?

With all of the nonsense from the Cleveland Cavaliers prior to the start of the NBA season regarding LeBron James' decision to sign with the Miami Heat they have now redeemed themselves. The Cavs offered a job to 53-year-old Ted Williams a homeless man in Columbus, Ohio who has a great broadcast speaking voice a job announcing for the team. The job has yet to be quantified.

The offer came about after Williams was shown on a TV newscast standing on the side of the road begging for money. A photo journalist drove up to him and said I want you to work for your dollar and requested Williams to say something with his voice for his $1 handout. The journalist recorded it and it aired on TV and the Internet. Williams became a celebrity and guest spots on talk shows followed. The Cavs then offered Williams a job. Williams's downfall was due to an addiction to cocaine and alcohol.
