The FAST & FURIOUS

NBA

It's a no brainer and some teams are getting locked and loaded. Given the pace that the Oklahoma City Thunder played the rest of the league better get their act together for the future for the NBA will be fast and furious.

The emphasis in the draft was obtaining players that can run at high pace. That focus will be in the conversation to make a run for the title next season. Two years ago you could see OKC was loading up on young talent that can run the floor. They have been spot on with the draft choices and building a squad around They are worthy champions.

The Indiana Pacers faired far better than we expected. Their attitude is yea, yea we've been hearing all season that we're not up to the championship level. Had it no been for the ankle tendon injury to Tyrese Haliburton early in the first quarter of game seven the result could have been in their favor.

An Interesting side bar for us is how in the 2020 NBA draft how overlooked fell to the 12 spot selected by the Sacramento Kings. Up to that point Jay Bilas, while hosting the draft was going crazy wondering why Haliburton wasn't being selected. Bilas was saying he should have been drafted much higher.

The Kings made the right choice but decided to trade him during his second season. On February 8, 2022, Haliburton, Buddy Hield and Tristan Thompson were traded to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for Domantas Sabonis, Justin Holiday, Jeremy Lamb and a 2023 second-round pick. At the time of the trade, Pacers coach Rick Carlisle referred to Haliburton as "an elite young point guard that affects the game positively in many, many ways". Pacers president Kevin Pritchard stated that the team intended on building around Haliburton as its long-term centerpiece.

The squad agrees. He has produced to warrant the trust. Haliburton joined Oscar Robertson (1960-62) as the only players in NBA history to record 2,000+ points and 1,000+ assists in their first 100 games with a new team.

Sadly his season ended with an injury but his NBA career is on the rise. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander won the NBA's MVP Award but Tyrese Haliburton won the respect and the harts of many.

WNBA

Washington, Atlanta and Chicano have attendance problems. Dallas is on the rise with 20,409 in attendance in their home game against the Indiana Fever. Golden State joins Indiana as the hot draw in the league with attendance reaching 17,000 to 18,000 per game.

BRITTNEY GRINER

Grier's move to Atlanta has strengthened that team. It seems Grinner is in great shape and productive. At 34 years old she is not as dangerous a threat as she was in her prime.

What some of her fans might find interesting is the Merchant of Death, Viktor Bout whom she was held hostage for in a Russian jail for a year for a hostage exchange. An interview with him can be viewed on Going Underground on the RT channel. The link to the show is below.

Bout was the inspiration and model for the film Lord of War. He is now a Russian politician. It's interesting to see how a person can be interpreted in a negative light and made out to be horrid and come off differently when interviewed.

Take a look at the interview and decide for yourself since the dynamic is Griner paid the price of her freedom for this man causing her to miss and entire season and have to endure a years nightmare in her life. It's amazing how strong she is in overcoming such a nightmare of an experience.

NBA Board of Governors approves sale of Timberwolves and Lynx to Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez

The NBA Board of Governors has unanimously approved the sale of the controlling interests in the Minnesota Timberwolves and the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx from Glen Taylor to Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez.

Mr. Lore and Mr. Rodriguez will serve as Co-Chairmen, with Lore assuming the role of Timberwolves Governor and Rodriguez as Alternate Governor.

For the Lynx, Rodriguez will serve as Governor while Lore will act as Alternate Governor.

The transaction is expected to close this week.

NFL

Shedeur Sanders seems to be starting off on the wrong foot in his NFL professional career. He has a brown colored Rolls Royce delivered to training camp. He has two speeding tickets since he arrived to camp. His actions resulted in the team pointing out to him that his conduct reflects on the Browns organization.

How he processes the information will be highly scrutinized. One of the concerns about his being a low draft choice is his father Deion represented him. Sanders' dropped to the Browns in the fifth round at pick No. 144.

For many it meant any team that drafts him drafts his father, attitude and all. The theory is who needs those problems. Apparently he has a need for attention. Sanders has a full video team as part of his massive support system apparently to protect his image. Sanders feels it is a safeguard from misinformation about his persona.

Going Underground

Viktor Bout

Zelensky is a dead man walking, globalists trying to pull Trump into war against Russia On this episode of Going Underground, we speak to Viktor Bout, Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Ulyanovsk Oblast, called the ‘Merchant of Death’ by NATO propaganda media. He discusses Ukraine’s attack on Russia’s strategic bombers, which Russia says was planned by the British Secret Services, the state of the negotiations with Ukraine to end the proxy war, efforts to pull US President Donald Trump into the war against Russia, President Vladimir Putin avoiding an ‘emotional’ response to NATO’s provocations, Europe’s economic self-sabotage since 2022, the mass protests in Los Angeles and across the United States, whether Russia will advance

NBA GAME CHANGE SUGGESTIONS:

Make a rule where a team can only take 30 three-point shots a game. This will create more strategy. A shot clock can be doubled in two sections where one side is about 3-point shots taken and the other being the 24 second clock.

COMING: THE NBA ALL STAR GAME ABORTION

THIS DAY IN THE NBA

June 24, 1901 Chuck Taylor was born in Brown County, Indiana. Although Taylor played professional basketball for 11 seasons, he is best known as the creator of the first basketball clinic in 1922, and the designer of the famous Converse basketball sneaker in 1931 that was named after him. Taylor was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1968 as a contributor to the game.

June 24, 1992 Portland became the first city outside of New York to host the NBA Draft. The 1992 NBA Draft was held at Potland’s Memorial Coliseum, and the Orlando Magic tabbed 7-1 center Shaquille O’Neal of LSU with the first overall pick.

June 24, 1995 The Toronto Raptors selected Chicago guard B. J. Armstrong with the first pick and the Vancouver Grizzlies chose guard Greg Anthony with the second selection in the Expansion Draft, as the NBA’s two newest clubs began preparation for the 1995-96 season. The Raptors drafted a total of 14 players off the 27 NBA rosters and the Grizzlies chose 13.
