American Idol cameras were rolling when after rehearsing for the TV show Jermaine was called into a meeting with producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick. As he walked into the room he noticed that cameras were trained on him. IDOL'S DIRTY TRICKS

Prior to the season during the audition stage Jermaine Jones was eliminated by the judges from being included in the Top 24. Jones who possesses one on the two strongest voices in the competition was called back to be the 13th male in contest which was extended from the Top 24 to the Top 25. Public voting determined who would be in the TOP 10. The public saw something in Jones that the judges failed to appreciate and recognize… a great voice.

The judges primarily voted through the pretty boy images in preference to quality of voice. Jones defies the squeaky clean visual image of most American Idol contestants that were selected to appear on the show. The irony is that the program is basically an audition for Idols creator Simon Fuller to choose who he would like to manage in association with 19 Entertainment which is set up to appear as if it is separate from Fullers decisions. In past seasons there have been some questionable calls with better looking lesser talented contestants advancing over those with more qualified voices.

Jones is 6'8 ½" and is as thick as an offensive left tackle in the NFL. For those that don't know the left tackle is most important in an offensive line to protect the quarterbacks back. They are usually strong, tall, quick and usually thick.

Jones wears a dreadlock hairstyle that is greasier than fellow contestant half black, half white Deandre Brackensick. Jones comes from a poor area of New Jersey and has had a tough life of survival and looks it. The bottom line is his talent is far superior to the other contestants. It's his voice that stands out which prompted American Idol's in house mentor and the head of Interscope Records Jimmy Iovine to say, "I can listen to an entire album of that voice. "We have to figure a way how to keep him in this competition (with good selections of songs)," he concluded.

Idol is currently pimping their Idols of choice with an on air publicity campaign. Some contestants appear more than others and the campaign is not in alphabetical order. Colton Dixon and Phillip Phillips are the pretty boys of choice and Jones does not fir the pretty boy image. The judges admit that they are looking for the entire package of voice, performance, and attitude and though not overtly stated good looks. Apparently the days of the Ruben Stoddard look are over.

Iovine's comments serious or not will not come to fruition as Lythgoe and Warwick proudly set up the young man deemed the Gentle Giant in a gangland type sniper attack with video cameras SET UP and rolling.

On Tuesday March 13th at 3:45 PM Pacific Coast time Jones rehearsed the song he was to sing on the program the following day. He was then called into a meeting with the two producers. As he walked in he noticed two cameras rolling to catch his every expression.

For those not familiar with television production at least two cameras are required when doing an interview that captures the expressions of the subjects FROM OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS. One camera was positioned behind Jones back for an over the shoulder shot of the Lythgoe and Warwick sitting on a couch opposite the big fellow. Another camera was on the opposite side of the room focused on close up shots of Jones' face. It was a well planned and well conceived attack.

Before the rehearsal and interview Lythgoe and Warwick knew that they were going to dismiss Jones for outstanding warrants. At the beginning of the performance show host Ryan Seacrest set it up by informing the TV audience that with the help of police Idol had to eliminate a contestant with a criminal record. He didn't reveal who it was or what the crime was but said they would get to that later in the show. It was a stealth like STAY TUNED MOMENT. It was so dramatic that it was as if someone on the show had murdered somebody.

In the meeting Lythgoe and Warwick confronted Jones and went into this dreadful criminal record which included giving false names twice to police when he was young. Since Jones knew he had warrants for driving with a suspended license and didn't want to go to jail for ignoring them he lied. The Idol producers also pointed out that he had a fight with a friend prompting Jones to point out that it was verbal argument and not a physical confrontation.

In our research Jones' horrendous crimes also included being caught with an open container in a car. Ask your self… have you ever done that but weren't caught?

The Showbiz Tonight show also pointed out that the buzz going around is that Idol was doing this whole thing for ratings. What did Jones respond? Stay tuned…

NOTE: The top 10 contestants now consist of five males and five females. By far Jessica Sanchez has the most outstanding voice with Jermaine Jones being a close 2nd and gone. Sanchez is the most polished in her performing skills.
