RUSSIAN TV DEALING WHILE HEALING

As the saying goes, keep your friends close and keep your enemies closer. Let's pretend that you buy into the American government's accusation that Russia is the enemy. Rather than obliging their wishes and censoring what an American citizen can view… WE DO IT.

We come from the school of…. WHAT'S UP! Therefore with that said, we took a journey to search for the sanctioned Russian TV channel that is supposed to be so evil and off limits to US citizens. Thank god we found it as well as searching their RT website to see what they are thinking and relating to their point of view. Hopefully we can't go to jail for that. You never know who the USG considers an enemy.

What we discovered is the difference of what is on offering on their RT.com website and their Ruptly TV service. For starters there are now eight shows on their website up from three. Some of their former TV presenters returned and have shows Including Manila Chan hosting Modus Operandi.

Most notably is one show hosted by an American, John Kiriakou who previously worked for the CIA. His show is appropriately titled The Whistleblower. The reality is he was a whistleblower that resigned from the CIA. He went on to take jobs as an investigator for various companies. He became a regular guest on news television shows and related some of his CIA experiences and perspectives. The subject that got him in trouble was his relating to the CIA's practice of waterboarding.

On January 23, 2012, Kiriakou was charged with disclosing classified information to journalists, including the name of a covert CIA officer and information revealing the role of another CIA employee, Deuce Martinez, in classified activities. In addition, Kiriakou was alleged to have lied to the CIA to have his book published.

On January 25, 2013, Kiriakou was sentenced to 30 months in prison, making him the second CIA officer to be jailed for revealing classified material of CIA undercover identities, in violation of the Intelligence Identities Protection Act.

On February 3, 2015, Kiriakou was released from prison to serve three months of house arrest at his home in Arlington, Virginia. Following his release, Kiriakou said his case was not about leaking information but about exposing torture, continuing, "and I would do it all over again." He has since expressed interest in campaigning for prison reform.

Kiriakou's persona is not what one would expect from a CIA agent. He seems nice and gentile. He does not come off as a hard ass. We watched his first show and his presence and topic comes off as tame. However, that is subjective. In any case he's worth a watch basically to see how he progresses as a show host and what topics he selects given his CIA background.

Our go to show remains Worlds Apart hosted by a Russian Oksana Boyko, and Crosstalk hosted by an American residing in Russia Peter Lavelle. We find these two shows the most engaging and informative given the subject matter and their perspectives of the Russian, Ukraine conflict. Usually they have intelligent, knowledgeable guests.

On their TV channel the formula is 30 minutes of news and 30 minutes of features, documentaries and the talk shows. Much of the features are propaganda. Notably there are numerous news features of their viewpoint on the Ukraine conflict.

The content is in contrast to what is televised in the by the Zionist controlled main stream media in the US and Europe. Basically it's the other side of the story. Our position is that of a legal judge… listen to all sides and the truth is somewhere in the middle.

What they televise is informative and interesting. Most attention-grabbing is a feature that shows a map of the colonialist nations invasion and occupation of the nations around the world which the colonialist nations have raped and pillaged for their natural resources for centuries.

The takeaway message we got was who are the bad guys Russia or other nations THROUGHOUT HISTORY that have colonized nations of indigenous people and enslaved them. The comparison reveals the history of what current accusers of Russia have done while leaving a track record of their crimes and actions.

That brought to mind a two part documentary titled The Indochine War, which was televised on another channel. The topic is regarding the French colonization of Vietnam. One survivor said of the French that they said when they came they said they would build schools and hospitals but they didn't. What they built was prisons and brothels.

It's as if to justify that Russia is attempting to redeem land that was frivolously given away by a previous weak government. The point being that Russia wasn't involved in the colonizing business of invading a nation, enslaving their people while taking their precious natural resources. Sadly, we can't find that content on their internet site.

The following is our viewing trail of shows we visited to enlighten our knowledge of how Russian people think. We believe that knowledge and education is a healthy use of ones time. What's wrong with that?

CrossTalk: Zelensky’s war More Videos Close

NATO’s hybrid war against Russia just became more dangerous and frightening. A missile fired from Ukraine by Ukrainians landing in Poland clearly demonstrates what can go wrong due to a mistake or miscalculation. Of course, the collective West instantly moved toward invoking Article 5 of the NATO Treaty – which means starting World War III. CrossTalking with Anthony Kevin, Gilbert Doctorow, and James Jatras.

Worlds Apart Be all, end all? Richard Black, Former Virginia State Senator and Retired US Army Colonel More Videos Close Richard Black, a former Virginia State Senator and retired US Army Colonel © RT The Americans never had a problem starting wars, especially far away from their shores, but putting an end to them has often been a bloody mess. Barely a year after its disgraceful pullout from Afghanistan, the Biden administration got itself involved in the Ukraine conflict, with no formulated exit strategy at this point. Are there any better options for finishing this conflict than a dead end or, worse, the end of the world? To discuss this, Oksana is joined by Richard Black, a former Virginia State Senator and retired US Army Colonel.

Worlds Apart Arrogance unmoored? Rob Urie, Author of 'Zen Economics' Rob Urie, author of 'Zen Economics' Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result was once described as the definition of insanity, but with the Democrats close to retaining the US Senate, it is now being positioned almost as a great new deal. Can America pull itself out of its current political and economic morass by repeating tired mantras and holding on to the same old elites that brought it there in the first place? To discuss this, Oksana is joined by Rob Urie, author of 'Zen Economics'.
