LET'S GET PHYSICAL

The Amazing Race is down to its final four teams and things are getting physical as the Olivia Newton John song says. In the previous episode the athletic team of sisters Lakisha and Jennifer Hoffman had a physical confrontation with Luke Adams (22) who is teamed with his mother Margie 50. Luke has been deaf since birth and Margie became his link to the hearing world. He uses American Sign Language to communicate. Margaret is a Clinical Research Associate and Luke a College Graduate.

The sisters are two former Division 1 College athletes hope to be the first ever all female Team to win the Race. Besides athleticism, the sisters have little in common.

LaKisha 28 works as a youth program coordinator and basketball coach. She hopes the same strengths that make her a good coach - patience and a strong competitive nature - will ultimately make her the best Racer the game has seen. Meanwhile, she claims her sister is very impatient and blunt when it comes to dealing with others or speaking her mind.

Jennifer 24 works as a marketing assistant and newsletter coordinator for an assisted living company. She claims that she is the creative one while LaKisha is the analytical one…two traits that will undoubtedly be tested on the Race. Jennifer is infectiously energetic and confident, played college volleyball at the University of Louisville. LaKisha played basketball for the same school.

The problem is that when going for a clue box at the same time Luke and Jennifer got into a tussle involving pushing and shoving, elbows and backhands. Though Luke denied that he was the aggressor television replays indicated that he was.

He and his mother were pretty steamed up about the incident and the race issue came into play as the mother told the girls that they were laughing at Luke doing sign language. She said they shouldn't laugh while noting that he has had to deal with his situation all of his life and they should be more understanding as they are black which infers that being black is also a handicap.

So….. Which way will the wind blow and who will make the final three? Tune in Monday night on the AXN Network.
