They manner in which Idol promotes certain contestants by overly praising them while slighting others raises RED FLAGS that the show is biased and non transparent. - Recommended TV Listings

WHERE'S THE TRUTH?

You keep hearing about the LACK OF TRANSPARENCY and it most certainly applies to American Idol. It has yet to be revealed who Telescope is the company that Simon Fuller has engaged to be the official tabulator of the votes for the finals. We remain concerned what is the relationship with Telescope and the myriad of Fullers companies such as 19 Entertainment. Is Telescope an unbiased independent company or another one of Fuller's shell game organizations that would have the power to manipulate the final outcome?

It compliments about our criticism about the voting system in which one individual can make more than one vote. Basically they can stuff the ballot box which reportedly resulted in Kris Allen defeating Adam Lambert in season 8.

The way the system is currently designed only stimulates the number of votes for Ryan Seacrest to proudly boast at the opening of the results show as in, "last night 52 million votes were cast." The reality is, this is bullshit and appears to be designed to stimulate INFLATED numbers to sell propaganda of how popular the show is.

With the first five elimination's being females indicates another glowing problem with the system. In the most recent show Haley Reinhart was in the Bottom 3 for the fourth time but survived. She is one of only two of the seven females remaining in the competition. Sixteen-year-old Lauren Alaina is the other. The first five elimination's were female. The first four elimination's were minorities. Jacob Lusk is the only minority remaining on the show.

Some reports and comments on the web suggest that young teenage girls are doing most of the voting. If that is the case it doesn't bode well for the Ford Motor Company as their target audience are to viewers who are old enough and have the finances to purchase their product. In the advertising business cost per thousand rationale the voting results doesn't make sense that they are reaching their target audience. A young audience is more compatible to the Coca Cola soft drink company advertising on Idol but not a company selling automobiles that cost thousands of dollars. The situation raises the question is Ford getting the BIG BANG for their buck?

One of Idols producers Ken Warwick has been reported as saying that they will change the voting system. After 10 season of injustice most notably to Jennifer Hudson in season 3 you would think that they could have recognized the problem and changed things and have gotten right by now. If they could afford to pay the arrogant obnoxious judge Simon Cowell $100 million a year to insult contestants they most certainly have the financial means to correct the glaring inadequacies of their program.

Currently Idol has an online voting option limits viewers to 50 votes each. Divide that into Seacrest proclamation of over 50 votes were cast last night and the figures become a more realistic 10 million voters were involved.

One suggestion made or a change was to permit the public to vote who would be in the Bottom 3 then let the judges decide who would be eliminated. The judge's decision to save a non singer as early as the 11th position exemplifies that they are incapable of having that power to make such a critical decision.

One change that should be made is that the save rule cannot go into effect until the program reached the Top 10 who are the number of contestants that are supposed to go on the Idol summer tour. With the calamity this season the powers that be decided to make some concession and take 11 of the contestants on tour. Due to Idols mishaps the show has been changing the rules as they go along.

Another glaring red flag is the way Idol promotes certain contestants while shunning others. Last week Idol did a bit before each contestant's performance with comments from the other contestants of what they thought about the individual about to perform. Again Casey Abrams was promoted as the powers that be went the extra mile and bought beards for all of the contestants to wear when they made their comments about Casey. The shows presenter Ryan Seacrest wore a beard and took extra time to focus the spotlight on the talented but weak singing Abrams after his performance. It raises the question why is Idol focusing on giving the spotlight to Abrams?

If Idol wanted to go the extra mile to promote certain contestants they easily could have had bought cowboy hats for the contestants to wear when they expressed their thoughts about the shows deep voiced cowboy singer Scott McCreery. It's too obvious that Idol is promoting Abrams as they did Kris Allen in Season 8 when he won over the more talented Adam Lambert..

With the money that Idol generates it doesn't make sense why these problems continue season after season. Where we come from no sense is NONSENSE.
