Cambodian children are sold into prostitution by their parents. Some NGO's are doing something about it by creating a business and others teach and provide jobs. CNN's ART OF DECEPTION

CNN will present another one of their do good stories Saturday December 14th in the Pacific Rim region with another repetitious expose of the child sex trade in Cambodia. This time they're using actress Mira Sorvino to front this tearful expose which from their promotions of the program is another bullshit story.

Here's the drift I've been dealing with this scenarios for 25 years in Thailand and Cambodia yet as the saying goes all of the king's horses and all of the king's men cannot make the problem go away. The child sex for sale system is largely supported by powers that be in the military, police and governments but CNN will dare not tell the whole truth and deal with that subject matter. All the CON Cable OPINION Network) wants out if this is higher ratings and the outcome will be nothing more than a publicity and promotional stunt for the network.

If CNN does not know the real story behind the drug trade then they are incompetent as most of us that are familiar with the business know the skeletons in the closet thus they shouldn't be in the news business. If they do know the real story and fail to pursue ad expose it again they should not be in the news business. The last celebrity that they used up was Demi Moore who please the child abuse case on CNN's talk shows disguised as news.

In 2011 Moore and her then husband Ashton Kutcher were on the CNN Piers Morgan talk show talking about the problem. Moore said the first thing we have to identify the problem and then address it. Her participation in CNN'S FREEDOM PROJECT resulted in promoting CNN's launch of the same named show honoring those that have made contributions in helping others.

Following her contribution to CNN and The Freedom Project Moore returned to America to find that her marriage was in a shambles and about to break up. It did and she received mental health assistance and has been low profile ever since.

When CNN began its fight against human trafficking they boldly stated that they were going to STOP human trafficking and slavery. Now they've toned it down and are going to fight the problem (basically TALK & COMPLAIN ABOUT IT. Here we have a (supposedly) news network that is going to do what the FBI, Interpol and other law enforcement agencies haven't been able to do for years if not centuries as many are on the take to look the other way.

We first identified with the problem in 2001 reviewing a play in Phnom Penh about the subject titled A Wounded Life. It depicted a poor family from a province in Cambodia being tricked into having their daughter trafficked into prostitution with the expectation of permitting her marry a well to do old man. A relative arranged the meeting knowing what would eventually happen. The play was sponsored by the Asia Foundation and funded by USAID.

It revealed how organized crime posing as employment agents or family members use trickery to take advantage of the ignorance of poor uneducated parents in Cambodia's provinces. The parents are deceived into selling their daughters under the pretext that they are going to Phnom Penh to work in a factory or as a waitress. Once gone they are enslaved as sex workers.

In CNN's promotions they use this as a plot for their new sexploitation project Every Day in Cambodia. The problem is one of their video clips shows a girl whose mother sold her and her sister when they were under 15 into the sex trade and receives ONLY $10 A MONTH from the buyers as depicted in the documentary RED LIGHT. It's the same girl! They were saved but youngest of the two sisters was strung out on drugs that she was given by her sex traffickers and she willingly returned to the business.

The promos for CNN Every Day in Cambodia show Sorvino walking away from villagers saying, "It's not OK to sell children, it's not OK." THIS IS SO MUCH BULLSHIT since it appears to be a green screen set up meaning the shot of the villagers is desperately and her image is then edited over it. THE REAL BULLSHIT is that the people that sell children into sex slavery are illiterate and can't read a write their own language yet CNN wants you to believe that they understand the ENGLISH that Sorvino is speaking. SUCH BULLSHIT!

I'm in the Cambodian Hill tribe region where these people are subject to such abuse and trickery but thankfully there are no signs of CNN or Sorvino as they are comfortably back in the USA praising their work while nothing is done to stop the problem and never will be as it is embedded in their Asian cultures.
