TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT

It seems every season the Amazing Race includes a team that everybody loves to hate. This season is no exception as an ex-couple Tim Sweeney and Marie Mazzocchi have qualified for that distinction as they compete in a sprint around the globe for $1 million dollars on the new season of THE AMAZING RACE.

Sweeny is a sports agent who formerly toiled six years in the minor leagues of baseballs MLB (Major League Baseball). His ex-girlfriend Marie has been creating enemies during the first two legs as she acts as though she is in charge of giving orders and is discharging a bad attitude.

As winners of the first leg the couple won The Double Express Pass, introduced in the previous season. Since they were the first team to arrive at the 1st leg Pit Stop they received two Express Passes, one for themselves and one to give to any other team before the end of the 5th leg. In the process Marie is looking for ass kissers but there are no takers from the other competitors who have sized her up as being bad news.

Tim is an easy going nice guy who is tolerating the situation the best he can but it is apparent why they are an ex-couple as she repeatedly complains and is over zealous as a competitor having something to say about almost everyone that comes in her path.

Tim, having been in professional baseball is a friend of David DeJesus who plays for the MLB Tampa Bay Rays. DeJesus' wife is in the race and brought her relationship to Tim's attention. Her teammate Nicole Getz also is the wife of a major league player Chris Getz of the Kansas City Royals. They are referred to as the baseball wives in the race.

After learning the news Marie said to the baseball wives to stay close and she would look out for them implying that she would give them the express pass. At the end of the last leg sparks were flying and words said between the two teams as when the wives were on need no Express Pass was given. In the preview of tomorrow's 3rd leg episode Marie was arguing with the baseball wives about standing in line while on standby in line to get their tickets. The cliffhanger tease indicates that this should be a must watch episode. Since the Express Pass must be given out soon more sparks will fly to see how Marie conducts her looking for favoritism game and how the other teams react.

The human behavior theme is a reoccurring aspect of the race which apparently is decided in the contestant selection process to produce this proven team competition chemistry for success.

Of note former NFL teammates with the Houston Texans Chester Pitts and Ephraim Salaam finished first in the 2nd leg of the race by default. Cousins Leo & Jamal from Afghanistan who refer to themselves as the AFGHANIMALS were first to the finish line but failed to pay their taxi driver properly as they short changed him. They had to return and settle up before host Phil Keoghan would check them in, thus they finished 2nd and missed out on a bonus prize of a five day VIP holiday trip.

The Amazing Race airs on the CBS Network in the USA and the AXN channel in the Asian Pacific Rim region.

IN THE NEWS

HE'S BACK... LARRY KING IS BACK ON THE AIR

Long time CNN talk show host Larry King has returned to television with a weekly internationally televised show titled PoliticKING (as he spells it) on the RT channel. His return was prompted by a meeting with his long time friend billionaire Carlos Sim who suggested the idea that King get back in the TV talk host game. With King being on a Russian channel is quite a departure from the Russian bashing CNN network.

This past week King had former Minnesota governor Jessie Ventura who is disenchanted with the US government and said he wants to run for president of the United States in the next election as an independent. Ventura said he talked to controversial talk show host Howard Stern about being his running mate which takes the reality out of his stated intentions.

The loquacious former professional wrestler made a few good points as he was ripping apart the faults on the US Gov. He claims that the US spends more money on defense than the top 25 countries do combined.

He also pointed out that one of the major issues of why the United States is so adamant about attacking Syria is that the US wanted to build an oil pipeline through Syria but their leader Assad denied them permission.

CNN

CNN's Anthony Bourdaiine's show Parts Unknown traveled to Palestine and Israel which is almost unheard of. He stated that since 1967 one half million Jews have settled in Palestine's West Bank.

RT News reported since 1949, 750,000 Palestinians have been driven out f their homes by the Israelis. In 1956 Israel had 72 French aircraft to attack Egypt.

CNN's NEGATIVITY

In August there were more visions of CNN focusing on negativity which was apparent on their promotion of a special on North Korea being the world's bad guys. Some of the presenter Paula Hancock's dialog was in describing how bad off the North Korean people are since they have to bathe and wash clothes in a stream or river. This is nothing new as it occurs in most third world countries.

Perhaps Hancock and CNN should be more balanced than sensationalized and travel to India, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and other 3rd world nations and see what's going on. If you think they already have been there and done that then why do they make such a description of North Korea as if they are the only county in this situation? Does the truth or deception win? . It makes one wonder do they receive money from the US governments defense budget to instigate war.
