In journalism July is usually a slow month for news particularly in sports. This year the World Cup is filling that void but television programming in general is pretty much at a standstill. The networks option is to televise repeat programming or films and series that are boring to watch. The result being that not much has changed on NR TOP 10 the charts. This season there is no Asia's Apprentice with TONY FERNANDES. Apparently business duty calls OR the series was a flop. CNN's option is to focus on promoting WARS and conflicts throughout the world which keeps them busy

FIVE NEW ENTRIES IN THE TOP 10

This month there has been subtle changes in the NR TOP 10 with a continued interest in our two top soccer stories involving former Manchester United manager being sacked as we reported that he was DEAD ON ARRIVAL. His replacement Louis Van Gaal also retains a top position in the rankings notching the 2nd spot down from 1st last month. Our spin is the current Netherlands national manager and soon to be at Man U is not a warm and fuzzy guy who will express himself in no uncertain terms.

In journalism July is usually a slow month for news particularly in sports. This year the World Cup is filling that void but television programming in general is pretty much at a standstill. The networks option is to televise repeat programming or films and series that are boring to watch. The result being that not much has changed on NR TOP 10 the charts. This season there is no Asia's Apprentice with Tony Fernandes Apparently business duty calls OR the series was a flop. CNN's option is to focus on promoting WARS and conflicts throughout the world which keeps them busy.

There are five holdovers from last month and five new entries. Of the new stories most of the attention is directed at the CNN non story regarding one of their CNN HEROES Seemly Mam being exposed as a fraud. CNN failed to report the story as they were implicated in her surge to popularity thus contributing to the fraud. The scam was revealed by Cambodia Daily editor Simon Marks and it was also published by Newsweek Magazine.

It's apparent that CNN is more focused on promoting their network via sensationalism than being honest and accurate regarding the stories they choose to report while ignoring issues of more significance. CNN avoids reporting negative stories on Cambodia but have their GREEDY HANDS OUT in ACCEPTING the Cambodian Tourism Ministry's ADVERTISING DOLLARS. All of the CNN subjects reveal that they aren't interested in reporting REAL NEWS but are primarily concerned about taking Cambodia's advertising money while ignoring the murders and human rights abuses that are prevalent in the country.

Overall sports took four of the NR TOP 10 spots while our television reviews in out Video Beat column locked down three of the NR TOP 10 positions.

The third spot is our column regarding the turmoil surrounding the FIFA World Cup in Brazil and the NBA's problems with LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling following his racist remarks and the league forcing him to sell the team and has been barred from the league for life.

The other aspect in the column is Phil Jackson taking the helm as the president of the New York Knicks and not having things go his way from the start. His star player Carmelo wants to leave the team and Jackson was turned down from his former player with the Chicago Bulls Steve Kerr when offered the job to coach the Knicks.

The TOP 5 Phnom Penh Stories bolted on the list notching the 6th spot. CNN & Mira Sorvino go scamming again returned to the charts. This story is related to the Somaly Mam scam as Sorvino is being used to promote Child sex slavery and trafficking. As the Somaly Mam scam revealed it's not about saving the children it's about NGO's raising money to TALK about the subject and write copious notes and reports while spending the donor and taxpayer funding to live colonialist lifestyles.

In the meantime the children continues to suffer and all of the notes and reports that have been written over our 25 years being aware of the problem HAVE DONE NOTHING TO CHANGE THE SITUATION. IF THE SITUATION HAD CHANGED THERE WOULD BE NO JOB AND THE NGO's clearly wouldn't want that to happen.

ARCHIVES

Given the World Cup is in session we took a look back at what stories in our archives relate to the competition. We go back 12 years to the 2002 Word Cup. Brazil was the winner with Ronaldo being the star. This is relative to the current World Cup Brazil given in this tournament Germany's Miroslav Klose has tied Ronaldo as having the most overall World Cup goals scored when he registered his 15th tally against Ghana in their 2-2 result.

Our second selection related to when the United States matured as a serious competitor on the world stage as they progred to the final 16. This story is also relative to the current competition as its then leader Landon Donovan is among the missing for this competition as manager Jürgen Klinsmann felt the squad would be better off without him.

It all boils down to then and now aka the way it was and now… THE WAY IT IS.
