TV RULES AGAIN

During times like these it seems only fitting that Murders In The Name of God rocketed up the charts to take the number one spot making it our fastest mover. The reality is what is going on in the news with a minister threatening to burn the quran, the Israeli's boldly stating that they could care less what the world thinks they will continue to steal Palestinian land and build homes there, the pope's visit to England creating controversy and Queen Elizabeth talking about violence and murder can't be condoned by invoking god's name. It's a hot button topic that is presently creating a towering inferno around the world.

The second spot was an NBA story LeBron James from Hero to Zero. It addresses the backlash that a young man suffered from making a career decision to leave his home town team the Cleveland Cavaliers after spending a fruitless seven years of blood sweat and tears in an effort to win an NBA title. It never came to fruition and he decided to pack it in and move on only to be ostracized by the Cavaliers owner and fans.

Those columns are two of the new entries that made the charts this month. Overall there were four new entries to make the charts. Two Entertainment Beat columns made the list making it a first time that two columns from that category qualified for the NR Top 10 charts in the same month. They are BEATLE'S RINGO STARR's TOUR DATES & BAND MEMBERS and BEHIND THE SCENES WITH MICHAEL JACKSON.

Television reviews ruled the charts by taking five of the Top 10 spots while sports took three. National Geographic's Locked Up Abroad remains on the charts taking solid fourth and fifth positions. Channel News Asia's documentary Asia's Monarch's took the sixth spot and AMERICAN IDOLS SEASON 9 TOP 10 NR STORIES holds down seventh place.

Sports Notes took eighth and ninth place with the England's national football team creating the buzz. IS JOHN TERRY THE NEXT TIGER WOODS? remains on the charts in notching the eighth spot followed by GERMANY CHEWS UP & SPITS OUT ENGLAND (in the World Cup). Please let us bow our heads and pray for England and their gallivanting playboys who prefer the ladies over earning their huge checks by winning football games.

SECTIONS MOST VISITED

Not much has changed since last month. Most notable is the Television section jumped back on the charts taking the fifth spot. Also improvement was made with the upward movement for the Cambodia and NBA sections each gaining two places. Thailand dropped off the charts which could indicate people are losing interest in a country that is embroiled with problems and deaths from political strife. With their TV ads Thailand just as amazing as you remember it raises the question what in the world are they thinking when riots, murders and random explosions killing and injuring people continue.

ARCHIVES

For our archive section in tribute with the start of the American football season we feature two stories on the Manning brothers who followed their father to star in the NFL (National Football League). The difference being they led their respective teams to Super Bowl titles while their father Archie was a star on a losing team and was often scorned, booed and injured due to poor protection from his teammates.
