MEGAN JOY (CORKREY) TELLS JAY LENO

I can hear the Walker Brothers singing their hit song 'No Regrets' when Megan Joy (Corkrey) appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno after she was eliminated on American Idol. Surprisingly she told Leno that she had no regrets telling Simon Cowell that she didn't care on the results show after his tough criticism of her performance the previous day.

From the audition stage Joy received what we considered preferential treatment and undeserved praise for her not so good voice and performances. We predicted that she would be the judge's choice to be saved if she was up for elimination.

When that time came AI host Ryan Seacrest asked Joy what she thought of Cowell's criticism of her performance. Cowell has gone on record as saying that she was a favorite of his. Joy then blurted out, "Simon I love you but I don't care."

"What did she say?" Cowell asked the judges. It was then repeated to him. Before she performed to be saved Seacrest asked Cowell if the judges would save her to which Cowell replied, "Megan with greatest respect when you said I don't' care nor do we. This is your swan song enjoy it."

Tears flowed from Joy's eyes as her lights were turned down low and then off as she performed her last song on her pathway to the American Idol title. The AI judge's favorite girl wasn't a favorite any more. Full story

It seems that Jay Leno is working overtime booking controversial guests on his show. This past weekend (in Southeast Asia) Leno had former NBA star Dennis Rodman as a guest after Rodman was fired from the Donald Trumps current Celebrity Apprentice reality TV show.

Rodman admitted that he wasn't a team player and had a problem dealing with country recording artist Clint Black. He also admitted to Leno that he is involved in a recovering addicts program while admitting to having problems with alcohol.

Leno noted that Rodman has a bad image as to being a tough guy but Leno said that he knew Rodman was a good guy. When Leno brought up Michael Jordan's Hall of Fame nomination Rodman said he deserved it but was curious to know if he had a chance to be selected due to his bad boy reputation.

We've known Rodman since 1990 and agree with Leno's assessment. Rodman is a good guy who has resorted dependencies as a result of having a tough time dealing with his personal problems. Rodman now has a comic book on the market about his creation GERSH - The Clandestine Order about a hero character who saves people from trouble.

Also, for the first time, “American Idol” music director Rickey Minor will share his opinions and insights weekly with Jillian during “Rickey’s Review.”

After the Bernie Madoff and AIG scandals one must wonder why CNN's I Report has the nerve to request video and phone reports from the public thus providing themselves with FREE PROGRAMMING.

One of the criticisms of the program and other copy cat shows on other networks that request public contributions but they DON'T PAY for the reports. You would think that since these multi million/billion dollar companies that are claiming to be presenting these shows as a public service could in turn pay or do something for the public. They are taking advantage of a person's thirst for their 15 minutes of fame.

One could argue that to pay everyone would be a bookkeeping nightmare. Should that be the case then an alternative suggestion is for these bottom feeders to pay a fee but donate it to a worthy cause that would be beneficial to the world such as contributing to a fund that is seeking a cure for the AIDS virus. Nuff said…
