RELATIONSHIP DRAMA'S

NFL

OK, OK... so I'm taking some liberties with creative license but with what's going on in the world today with Israel trying to be the beast of the east we'll live with that while Palestinian babies can't.

For starters you would think that for the past 60 days the only thing that mattered in sports was the Travis Kelce Taylor Swift drama. Well lookie here I like the pairing.

At first I thought it would distract from the field of play by the Kansas City Chiefs but it hasn't. The Chiefs are at the top of their division and haven't suffered a loss since their first game. But let's get down to what really matters the Swifty, Kelce deal.

They're both tall Swift 5'11" and Kelce 6'5" therefore they look good together. She's been to every game since the relationship was revealed. They're both 33. They're both tough and can take it. She exemplified that at an Awards show when that idiot Kanye jumped up on stage. interrupted her after she won an award and shouted out that Beyoncé deserved it.

Swift stood there in disbelief but let him be the asshole that he is. From that point her career continued to build and thrive.

Today she's perhaps the biggest star in the music industry. But here's the sticker, price if you will. Swift is worth $600 MILLION to Kelce's $30 million. Should this relationship continue to fruition it raises the question will Kelce have to sign a prenuptial agreement?

But, wait up! Swift didn't attend this weeks Chiefs game against the Denver Broncos. The men in red lost for the first time during the Swift, Klece era. Swift had to return to prepare for her world tour. So… what does that mean for the Chiefs? Can they win without Swift? Stay tuned

WAS-SUP?... CHICKEN FOOT THROWN DOWN

Yo, here's the deal. I enjoy ESPN's Stephen A Smith's take on sports matters BUT… he is way off base for what he said about Shohei Ohtani. Smith is fond of saying the words THE BROTHER. He failed to include apply that term to Ohtani. Now here's the deal, Smith said Ohtani isn't worth a half a billion dollar contract. He's way off base.

Ohtani is the greatest athlete in baseball since Babe Ruth. I would rate him over that vagabond king, LeBron James. The sticker is Smith never said anything negative about the Boston Celtics giving Jaylen Brown a $62 MILLION a year contract. Of course Smith recognizes him as… a brother.

Brown is nowhere close to being one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Ohtani was in that conversation regarding in baseball.

His unfortunate pitching arm injury cost him a month of play this season. He was on his way to easily having a 50 home run, 100 RBI and 15 pitching win season.

Although he missed a month of playing time due to his injury he finished the season as the American League's home run leader with 44. That was topped off with a 10-5 pitching record. He was on a weak team that gave him very little hitting support.

On July 25, 2023, Brown signed a five-year, $304 million contract extension, surpassing Nikola Jokic's $276 million extension as the richest deal in NBA history. Frankly… I don't get it.

Brown has not achieved the award and production success of Ohtani. Given the salaries being thrown around in sports today Ohtani is easily worth a HALF BILLION DOLLAR SALARY for 10 years, IF HE GETS HEALTHY and returns to form.

Last season he made only $30 million. His contract is up. He just had an operation on his arm. Now here's the deal as I see it.

Ohtani is worth $30 million a year for his hitting alone. A fair contract would be to sign him to another $30 million for one season only as a batter.

For the following season, when doctors feel he has recovered and is strong enough to pitch, sign him for one year at $40 million for both hitting and pitching. Should he return to form and has 15 or more wins as a pitcher then give him another contract for $50 million a season or 1/2 BILLION OVER 10 YEARS.

Presently Ohtani is only 29. He should be a top value player into his early 40's. Due to inflation a half billion dollars then would be worth half of what it is now.

That's my case. I'm throwing down the chicken foot (Prison Break season 3) for a challenge to Stephen A at a site to be named later.

UFC

Yea… show... uh huh… got it. After Dricus du Plessis defeated Robert Whitaker, Israel Adesanya jumped into the ring to challenge the white South African. Adesanya yelled in the face of du Plessis a white fighter from South Africa's, "Yo mah niggah."

The shocked du Plessis replied that Adesanaya was from New Zealand. Adesanya shot back but my family is from Nigeria. du Plessis stood there with a bewildered look on his face. The point being that Adesanya was trying to pick a future fight for a big paycheck is their scheduled upcoming fight. That was canceled due to the South African's injury.

Apparently Adesanya wanted to take up the black cause of fighting apartheid that South African president Nelson Mandela fought for and was jailed for so many years.

The plot backfired on Adesanya when he lost his next fight against Sean Strickland. Strickland beat Adesanya for the middleweight title via one-sided unanimous decision as a +500 underdog.

It was most unbearable result since it was in Adesanya's adopted region New Zealand/Australia. He was booed as he entered the ring and he was ignored after losing. Is this is a result of BAD KARMA seizing its justice?

The weight of the embarrassment that Adesanya had placed upon himself was followed with being arrested for DUI. He then decided to take some time off from the sport.

I'm going to take time to look after myself and I'm not going to fight for a long time," Adesanya said.

Adesanya, 34, said he is not retiring, but will be healing his body. The two-time former champ fought four title fights in 14 months, a clip that's almost unheard of for a champion in today's UFC.

What is he thinking? Adesanya has a reputation for trash talk, much of it to promote an upcoming fight. The point being his language towards Du Plessis went over the red line of poor conduct. It was using racist language for financial gain.

Perhaps his self imposed rest period will result in him learning it's how to be a bigger person and A BETTER MAN. The bottom line is… racism works both ways.

NBA

The most intriguing offseason trade was Chris Paul going to the Warriors. It could be what the team needed the most some mature leadership and influence from a proven All-Star veteran.

The Warriors house was in flames last season following Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole in a pre season practice session. The buzz was that it was over a comment that Poole made about having more sex with students at Michigan State than Green did at his own school. He capped that of by injecting that he was only there once a year when his Michigan Wolverine squad played the Spartans.

If true it was a foolish thing to say and it disturbed what the Warriors had built up over the years with team cohesion around their BIG THREE, Curry, Thompson and Green.

Prior to that encounter Social media noted that Poole spent over a million dollars on a large booty bodied girlfriend. Again, if true the Poole man needs to get his priorities in order. His act is currently playing in Washington D.C. with the Wizards. Stay tuned...
