AMERICAN IDOL CLEAN UP YOUR ACT

This past season was the biggest scam series of American Idol of all-time. In a save the sinking ship strategy judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez will not return next season. Lopez change of attitude is a perplexing situation. When she first joined the show we praised her presence and how she added to the series. After one season she turned into a smiling vampire and acted her way as a nice judge to everyone but in reality she revealed that she had an agenda as in, "I want you to win Phillip (Phillips)."

The blessing is the she's gone and so is her underlying bitterness apparently from the spilt up of her marriage to singer Marc Anthony. Who can forget the segment in season one when Anthony then a vocal consultant was singing and J. Lo came on stage and turned her back to the audience shaking her butt? May that scene rest in peace.

The show continued to rush down hill with Jimmy Iovine being the chief mentor. They disbanded the guest mentors and in house vocal instructors. That was OK but having only Iovine was a bad decision. He has a vested interest in who wins by signing them to his record label. That presents a CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

He began to show his leopards spots when he made some very questionable comments particularly by making excuses for Phillips vocal shortcomings and belittling others in a nice soothing manner similar to J Lo's although he did leave out the sweetie comments.

It all came clear when he chose songs for Sanchez to sing that placed her in the worst light for her talent. Host Ryan Seacrest added to the lies and deception when on the finals show he announced that both Sanchez and Phillips would sing the sing they would record IF THEY WIN THE COMPETITION. The irony of this scenario is the title of the song is CHANGE NOTHING and they did just that.

Sanchez LOST but they chose to continue to drag her down in the public's eye by recording that dreadful song that Iovine chose for her to apparently lose the contest. It raises the question if she didn't win and was given a song is WRONG for her talent which was CONFIRMED by all of the judges WHY did they make her record that song? What is their agenda?

Not only did Sanchez lose the contest but she became the first to receive the least amount of money for a runner-up. That negative result was compounded by her only being given a deal to record a single which was another slight and another Idol first. They consummated her slaughter by making her record that $#!t song. The questions are WHAT'S THE DEAL? WHY ARE THEY INTENTIONALLY RUINING THIS GIRLS once promising CAREER? If there is a silver lining in the coat made of rat skin it is undoubtedly obvious given his inconceivable song choices that Iovine IS NOT capable of being Sanchez's producer.

The talk is the want Tyler's role to be filled by a young judge. That questions the show's credibility more. Is it about having someone that has experience and knowledge of the recording and performance businesses or about finding young marquee names and continue on the past of destruction of the show losing its credibility.

The world is watching Idol's patterned self destruction behavior. Regarding their choice of winner one Philippine publication described the choice as another WHWG (White guy with guitar).

There is also word that judge Randy Jackson may be moved out of his slot and be given another role on the program. That would be a great move as he talks and brags too much about his history. His relationship with having produced and supposedly managing Mariah Carey would add more self adoration chatter that the show doesn't need. The show is too incestuous.

For the J Lo fans she will return with Marc Anthony August 22nd with the talent show Q' Viva. The program will search for talent in South America. It is also produced by American Idol's creator Simon Fuller. The program will air in East Asia on the Star World network.

THE GLEE PROJECT 2 IS ON!!!

It's a new season for the Glee Project which seeks now talent for the regular Glee show. The program drew criticism for hiring able bodied actors to play roles of those with disabilities. Produce Ryan Murphy must have heard the critics and is doing something about it. This season Project hopefuls include a disabled girl who is wheelchair bound and a black blind boy. They also have as in the past transgender and gay talent. Glee Project 2 airs Wednesday nights at 7 PM Thailand and Indonesia and 8 PM Hong Kong and Singapore on Star World.

THE NEW LOCKED UP ABROAD

Year after year the National Geographic channel advertises that there will be a new season for Locked Up Abroad. The results are for the past several years they continued to repeat the same shows that previously aired. One season the same shows aired with the same title Banged Up Abroad.

Last week was the first episode of the new season and it was something we have never seen in the past. Could this really be a NEW SEASON? The show airs Tuesday nights at 10 PM Thailand and 11 PM Hong Kong and Singapore on the National Geographic network. The show repeats the following Monday at the same time slots.
