On the last episode she had an argument with two of the models who were born in Europe. They infer that they aren't understood because of their European heritage and different ways and attitudes of the other models given their cultural differences. Sakai took exception to that by noting "It's not where you come from (that matters) it's where you're going." He won't be receiving an Oscar for this. From the start of the fight De La Hoya was cautious and didn't display the intensity that he did in his fight last year with the previous best pound for pound fighter Floyd Mayweather, Jr. - Video Beat Part 1

ASIA'S SAKAI'S LAST EPISODE ON TOP MODEL

The saying it ain't over till it's over will apply to half Korean half Japanese model Sheena Sakai as she will be appearing in her last episode of America's Next Top Model this Sunday. Sheena made it to the final six which entitled her to travel abroad to Amsterdam but at that location it was all she wrote for the future of the statuesque Asian lady on the show.

Sheena has a way about her that is reminiscent of the attitude portrayed on the miserable reality series Bad Girls. The apparently black street home girl influenced Sakai carries it off with ease and is real and not portraying the act but being it. She has a hot look and as the Commodores sang she is built like a 'BRICK HOUSE' and has a great vibrant personality.

On the last episode she had an argument with two of the models who were born in Europe. They inferred that they aren't understood because of their European heritage and different ways and attitudes of the other models given their cultural differences. Sakai took exception to that by noting "It's not where you come from (that matters) it's where you're going." (GO GIRL…). Well that didn't go over with the two Europeans and the argument began.

Sakai was born in Hawaii and moved to Harlem the black section of New York City to focus on pursuing her modeling and singing career. On Top Model the judges kept referring to her as hooch implying too sexy and that's not a good thing for who will be selected to be America's Next Top Model.

In the upcoming episode Sakai's Top Model world comes apart in Amsterdam where the girls went to the Red Light district for a challenge posing as store-front models selling various designers' dresses. Sheena was criticized for giving lewd poses. She was also criticized for her inconsistency and trouble controlling both her pose and face together. The result was she was eliminated.

To see Top Models first ever Asian model contestant tune in this Sunday on Channel V.

NOTE:

Channel V pulled a switch on the scheduling of the program last week moving it up 15 minutes from an 8 & 11 PM start Sunday nights to 7:45 & 10:45 PM. For those interested in seeing Sakai's last episode it will be wise to monitor the channel at the earlier time. There was no announcement if the time change will be in effect this week.

The reasons why the channel made the switch was not disclosed. For those of us who are used to a logical and fixed program schedule make note that in Asia they are not professional in this department. The reasons why are located in the GO FIGURE FILE.

OH PLEASE OSCAR - NO PERFORMANCE

He won't be receiving an Oscar for this. In what we felt could have been one of the greatest fights of all time with Oscar De La Hoya against than man recognized as being the best pound for pound fighter in the world Philippine Manny Pacquiao turned out to be a dud for the non Philippine viewers and those who plunked down major money for the event which took in over $100 million. The big money winner was De La Hoya who was reported to be taking the larger share of the purse in addition to his Golden Boy Promotions being the co-promoter of the event.

De La Hoya never looked right for the contest from the weigh in where he came in at 145 pounds two pounds under the limit. His six pack was out of line and Pacquiao's was aligned. De La Hoya didn't have the intense look in his eyes and Pacquiao did. His muscle tone was flabby and Pacquiao's tight. He is 35 and Pacquiao will be 30 December 17th.

From the start of the fight De La Hoya was cautious and didn't display the intensity that he did in his fight last year with the previous best pound for pound fighter Floyd Mayweather, Jr. In that fight the Golden Boy made a good showing of himself though he lost. Had he taken that performance up a notch the fight with Pacquiao would have been a good one.

Pacquiao was beating him to the punch scoring at will. The Golden Boy looked too pooped to pop. After the seventh round De La Hoya was asked if he wanted to continue he shook his head no. After the eighth round the fight was called off and Pacquiao was declared the winner by TKO.

Philippine TV news shows went banana's with the coverage of the win. It was as if Pacquiao was Obama winning the US presidential race. They had scenes from Dubai where many Philippines work giving their reaction to their countryman's victory.
