SHE'S BACK!!!

Paula Abdul's appearance on the results program was an eye opener. Since her contract was not renewed Abdul has been in the low profile mode and not much has happened in her career. Her personality played a huge part in the program's success particularly her interplay with now departing judge Simon Cowell.

During her final result show appearance she quipped that they wanted her back to tell why she left the show while noting that the segment wasn't about her but Cowell's departure. She then said there was a baby backstage with Cowell's haircut and it was his time to feed him. Abdul then stepped it up a gear and said that, "After eight years of sitting between 2 men (Cowell and Randy Jackson) who had bigger boobs than me, I had enough."

THE BOOTY PEOPLE

Yes there was a band in the 70's with that name but this is about now and we're talking Janet Jackson here. Jackson put on a spectacular show during the results 2 hour special as she came out in one outfit for her opening number then went backstage and came out with a striking tight fitting outfit and revealed her sides as it was open from her shoulder to toe... quite revealing.

She sounded and looked great for a now 44 year-old woman. The outfit revealed that Jackson can rival Serena Williams and Jennifer Lopez for the BIG BOOTY AWARD as it was all over the place but looking good. Those three should get together and form a club....

WHAT'S UP WITH RICKEY MINOR?

American idol's music director Rickey Minor has been in the background since it was announced that he will be leaving the show to be Jay Leno's music director. In the past the Idol show would end with host Ryan Seacrest loudly crediting OUR MUSIC DIRECTOR RICKEY MINOR. Since that time there has been no mention of Minors name and very little camera time focused on him which is unlike the past.

THE BOMB

The American Idol biggest bomb of this season was the elimination of Siobhan Magnus. The mystery is WHY?

Magnus 20 auditioned for American Idol in the summer of 2009 in Boston, and was one of two Massachusetts contestants to make the semi-finals of the show. Magnus has exposed a wide vocal range on Idol, often displaying very high notes. She is known for her interpretation of classic songs, such as "Think" originally by Aretha Franklin and "Paint It Black" originally by The Rolling Stones. Some of her rock singing techniques have been met with criticism from Simon Cowell. On April 20, Magnus performed "When You Believe", originally a duet by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, but the judges criticized her fashion sense and general lack of direction. On the top 6 night, when she performed "Any Man of Mine", judge Kara DioGuardi told her that "she was back!" Despite praise from the judges for her performance, Magnus was eliminated the next day.

Magnus was never reported to be in the Bottom 3 until the night of her elimination. Magnus' elimination came as a surprise to some viewers as she was considered one of the front-runners on the show. It was reported that as a result, many fans of Magnus have vowed to not watch the rest of the American Idol season. The week after Magnus' dismissal, American Idol had its lowest ratings since 2002. The word is that another American Idol voting fiasco occurred as votes were diverted to Aaron Kelly.

Magnus is currently the only contestant from Massachusetts to become a finalist in American Idol history. Magnus' closest friend among the contestants is Lee Dewyze, claiming that both of them "clicked" and have a "special bond"

After her elimination, Magnus gave several media appearances and performed "House of the Rising Sun" on The Ellen Degeneres Show, and "Paint it Black" on The Late Show with David Letterman. Letterman would go on to say to Magnus "I don't know why they took you off the show, frankly I don't care. For my money, you should be our American Idol". Magnus also visited the If I Can Dream house and sang "I Will Come to You" by Hanson and also "Halo" by Beyoncé. She also made an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show performing "Summertime".

AARON KELLY BACK IN FORM

After suffering laryngitis and tonsillitis from early in the season Aaron Kelly struggled to stay in the competition as his voice was never the same prior to his illness. He lasted until being eliminated at number 5 which was a remarkable fete considering that his voice was way off form throughout the competition. On the results final special show he teamed up with Siobhan Magnus and the Bee Gee's and his voice has returned as he was excellent. His sickness was at the worst time but he showed he has the guts to stick it out and that is mandatory to deal with the music business on a road to success.

SEX TRAFFICKING FILM TRADE ON the STAR MOVIE CHANNEL

Trade is a 2007 German film produced by Roland Emmerich and Rosilyn Heller, directed by Marco Kreuzpaintner. The film premiered January 23, 2007 at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival and opened in limited release on September 28, 2007. It is based on Peter Landesman's article "The Girls Next Door" about sex slaves, which was featured as the cover story in the January 24, 2004 issue of The New York Times Magazine.

A young girl is kidnapped in Mexico City for underground sex trade, it sets in motion a desperate mission by her 17-year-old brother to save her. While In pursuit the boy asks people if they have seen his sister, he sees her among the other victims as they are hurried into a truck by the kidnappers. He robs his friends from their car and uses it to follow the kidnappers. As he approaches the border, he sees the truck.

Two policemen approach the truck and allow them to cross, in exchange for cash and sex. One of the police was allowed to choose a victim to have sex with, and Veronica was chosen. The gangster evacuates everyone from the truck except for the policeman and Veronica as she is raped again. Jorge manages to follow the van to Juárez, but then loses track of it.

An American federal insurance fraud investigator (Kline) who went looking for his illegitimate half Mexican daughter came in contact with a boy. When the investigator realized the boy's plight he tried to help him rather than turn him in as being an illegal alien. In their travels the investigator went to the police for help but they refuse, it does not fit in their strategy against the larger criminal organization the gang is part of. At the end of the film was the statement that they don't' find children who are trafficked into America because THEY DON'T CARE.

Starring Kevin Kline, Cesar Ramos, Alicja Bachleda and Paulina Gaitan Directed by Marco Kreuzpaintner In Mexico City, Jorge's (Ramos) adolescent sister, Adriana (Gaitan), has been kidnapped and thrust into a lucrative underground trade in which young girls are bought and sold to the highest bidder. Now, as the terrified youngster is herded through a complex network of underground tunnels leading into the United States, her only ally is a Polish woman named Veronica (Bachleda), who has been tricked into the trade by the same nefarious gang.

Desperate for help, Jorge runs into a Texas lawman named Ray (Kline), whose own devastating personal loss to sex traffickers causes him to join the search for Adriana. Showtime: Sun, 30 May 01:50 PM - STAR MOVIE CHANNEL in Southeast Asia
