NINE LEGS DOWN THREE TO GO

The Amazing Race is down to their final four teams after the elimination of the competitions oldest team of Gary Tomljenovich 47 and his son Matt 22. Their undoing was a poor sense of direction over the past two legs of the race. Getting lost in the previous leg relegated them to a last place finish that resulted in their having to do a detour on this leg which cost them valuable time.

With four teams and three legs remaining brings into play one more non elimination round. The question is who will the shows producers favor?

Of the remaining teams Brian and his wife Ericka who is the former Miss America 2004 are the only remaining team that has never finished first in the race. They could be the producer's choice for survival since they are a mixed race couple who have somewhat of a celebrity standing. The spice in their life and story is Ericka's mother is concerned that her daughter married a white man.

Two of the Harlem Globetrotters Nate "Big Easy" Lofton and Herbert "Flight Time" Lang add another celebrity dimension to the program. They are tough competitors who have the edge on physicality but give up some ground when it comes to figuring things out. Their personalities are engaging and they have a competitive conflict with the two gay brothers in the race who want the Globetrotters out. They had a physical encounter in the last race when they were running to the pit stop and a Globetrotter fell and tripped the eldest brother. Over the nine legs the Globetrotters and the brother each have two first place finishes.

The dating couple Meghan & Cheyne have finished first four times including the last leg making them the most successful team on the race thus far. They are smart but Meghan wears the pants in this duo a she is quick to make decisions and take on the physical challenges while her boyfriend shies away from them.

The Amazing race airs Monday nights with and early evening telecast and a repeat of that telecast three hours later and several times throughout the week on the AXN Network
