SHELTON AND LEVINE LEAD 3-2

As three time The Voice coaching winner Blake Shelton jokingly puts it the other Voice judges are ganging up on him since they are jealous that he's won three times as a coach in the four seasons of the show. His chances improved this week as each judge had three singers prior to the 2nd live performance round. Shelton's chances of winning improved since Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green each had one of their contestants eliminated via public votes.

This season there is a new twist with a bottom 3 save by public vote. The bottom 3 was Jonny Gray, Kat Robichaud and Josh Logan. Green's Robichaud was saved by public vote via Twitter within a five minute voting window while the show was on the air with the bottom 3 standing on stage waiting for the result. Green's US military veteran Jonny Gray was the first to go followed by Aguilera's Josh Logan enabling Robichaud to perform another day. Thus Blake and Levine have three singers in the final 10 to Aguilera and Green's remaining two vying for the title.

This Top 12 performance show was televised in America Monday, November 11, 2013 and the results show was telecast on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. In the Asian pacific region both shows will air tomorrow Sunday November 17th on the AXN channel with repeats throughout the week.

Last week the results show featured several guest artists including Aguilera performing and was a worth watch. This week Sara Bareilles performs with the females of the Top 12.

This season, producers again modified iTunes voting during the show's live rounds: if a competitor's performance charts within the Top 10 of the iTunes "Top 200 Singles Chart" at the close of a specific episode's voting "window" (generally from the end of the episode to 10 AM Eastern time the following morning), it will be given an iTunes bonus that multiplies iTunes votes made in that voting window by five. For this week's voting, Matthew Schuler from Team Christina received the iTunes bonus multiplier for his performance of "Hallelujah."

Two of Shelton's past three winners are female but that will change should he win as all of his three remaining singers are male. Cole Vosbury 22 Shreveport, Louisiana is a diamond in the rough. He has a great voice but during the blind auditions he only turned Cee Lo Greens chair around wanting him on their team. Vosbury sang a soul song "Movin' On Up" which was a hit themes song from an old American TV comedy show The Jeffersons. Green eventually dropped him and Shelton saved him.

The twist is that with his long beard he resembles the cartoon character Yosemite Sam. He has a great voice that is perfectly suited for country. All of the coaches say, "I think you can win this thing," when they plead for a contestant to choose them as their coach but Vosbury is the real deal and although he is a dark horse he does have THE VOICE to win.

The problem is although the purpose of the show is to find the best voice and not make choices based on looks this fails to apply when it comes to voting as looks have apparently play a major role is their decision making the past two seasons. The question is will they give Vosbury a makeover as they tried to do in season 3 with Nicholas David that resulted in his accepting only a beard trimming. We love Vosbury's look the question is will the predominantly young texting youth of America?

Strong title contenders are James Wolpert 22 from Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Tessanne Chin 28 from Kingston, Jamaica. Chin could be most interesting for Asian viewers as her father is Chinese and married a Jamaican woman. Both have great voices with Wolpert's being very unique.

Another to watch is the youngest remaining contestant Jacquie Lee 16 from Colts Neck, New Jersey who really could win it all. She has an incredibly strong voice, is very cute and sweet looking. Given that last season being a breakthrough for youth being the fans choice with their choosing Danielle Bradbery also 16 to win the title Lee has similar rudiments to win it all. Bradbery's win could have set a trend for a younger viewing audience that use text frequently and purchase iTune songs that enhance Lee's chances to win.

The flip side is that Voice is losing the plot and appears to be moving away from their original aim to find the best voice. It appears that the show is now in it to win it FOR THE MONEY. The coaches are following the trend as they are looking for looks and youth so they can break Shelton's three-peat winning streak.

There have been some rule changes from previous seasons that have spiced up the program. An added interactive feature this season is the Instant Save. It was introduced with the elimination episode this week, to be carried through live elimination episodes on American telecasts November 19, November 26, and December 3. During the designated/announced five-minute voting window, Twitter users (with public accounts only) may vote to save one artist in each week's bottom three by tweeting the artist's voting keyword along with the show's designated hashtag. Cee Lo Green's Kat Robichaud benefited from the new rule this week and remains in the competition.

Viewers in America's Eastern and Central time zones vote during the live broadcasts, while viewers in the Mountain and Pacific time zones are cued to vote to save artists on the show's official Twitter account during the live East coast broadcast. Asian Pacific viewers are SOL

If it's WAS-SUP you're looking for it's on THE VOICE THIS WEEK.
