When the team on The Amazing Race named the DENTISTS won a non elimination pass for winning the first leg red flags were raised when they had to use it in finishing last but were strangely informed that they could keep the pass since it was a PRE DETERMINED NON ELIMINATION LEG - THE VOICE continues to amaze with questionable choices. Perhaps they should change the shows name to THE CHOICE - Recommended TV Listings

THE AMAZING RACE is LOSING FACE

This season is an all time low in Asia for television viewers. The Amazing Race is another candidate for questionable ethics it its 25th edition of the program. As we previously noted the shows cast is boring and we rated it a not worth watching. We checked in to make sure that we were correct in taking that position and came up with a reason to consider the show as being all bullshit.

A team called The Dentists won the first leg which gave them immunity from elimination. This season the show implemented a pass - called "The Save" which can be used by them team if they finished in last place on an elimination leg before Leg 9. That situation came about in leg four. When they handed host Phil Keoghan the save BUT... he then informed them that they could keep the pass since it was a PRE DETERMINED NON ELIMINATION LEG.

This appears to be a ploy to keep the dentists in the race with the pass to continue the drama in the show due to the value of the pass. Also the male partner of the duo had boasted that they intended to be the most winning team ever in Amazing Race history. That bold remark is the most interesting and shocking statement made by any of this 2nd of all time most boring Amazing Race cast. The worst being the cast when the raced around America. With that said if its bullshit you're looking for it's on The Amazing Race.

Prior to being given their apparent preferential treatment, the dentists won two legs and have won two more since at present, the legs of the race and continue to have the save. Ohhhh Pleaseeeee.....

THE VOICE SHOCKERS

Uh oh… what's up with The Voice? This reeks results rendered some shocking results and judges decisions. Two of the most shocking eliminations via the public's votes were Elyjuh René and Bryana Salaz.

René's elimination was the most shocking since his performance that aired in the first live round for the public's choice was flawless. It was so good the he received rave reviews from all of the judges.

Rene had one of the best voices in the competition. His song choice of "Latch" also drew praise from the judges. His coach Pharrell Williams saved Sugar Jones rather then the more talented Rene. Jones is good but her voice is not as natural and succinct and distinct as Rene's. It will be interesting to see how far Jones will go. Her father is a singer who worked with Sergio Mendes. That could play a factor in Williams' decision making.

In a previous The Voice series the same apparent favoritism was given to the son of Will Champlin Champlin was eliminated but saved several times. He improved along the way and did well in the competition. It's a given that chemistry factors into a coaches decision in which they will choose the vocalist that they feel they can work with the best, will follow their instruction and leave their egos at the door. This is a behind the scenes reality that the public will never know.

Salaz's elimination was more understandable. Her coach Gwen Stefani saved Ryan Sill. Early on we felt that Sill has one of the best voices in the competition and is RECORDING READY. On the surface he has a positive ego free personality. Stefani also has a strong liking for him. Without a doubt, although Salaz has a good voice Sill is much further along the way in being ready made for success. The question is why can't the voting public recognize this?

Our other top choices and talents to watch that can take the title are DaNica Shirey and Damien. Both have excellent voices but Shirey's is more polished. Damien is one of the most improved in the contest. Each week that he survives he gains confidence and his voice gets stronger. Although we like him the public seems to be fickle and in not as educated to talented evaluation as the shows voting public have been in the past. The bottom line is The Voice's talent level improves every with this season being their best in the seven season history.

The mentality and direction of the show has changed tat can be summed up when Blake Shelton had to decide on who to save of his three students that were not the public's choice. Shelton said his decision was not going to be based on, "Who can survive in this environment on The Voice and it's always different."

He then surprisingly dropped fellow country singer James David Carter and chose female Jessie Pitts. Perhaps The Voice needs to change its name to THE CHOICE.

The strange twist to this is in a head to head battle round competition Shelton pitted Carter against Craig Wayne Boyd. Shelton chose Carter over Boyd who was saved by Stefani. She then dropped him in the battle round in favor of Anita Antoinette and Shelton won him back with a save. Boyd remains on Shelton's team due to the publics vote making him safe from elimination and Boyd is gone. Go figure...
