Blake Shelton's history on The Voice is clear, when it comes to winning the title as a coach he is ALL BUSINESS. With six titles in sixteen seasons speaks for itself. His closet rival was the since departed Adam Levine who has three.

This past week Shelton pulled off another timely move when he stole Gracee Shriver. Shriver possesses all of the winning essentials… she's young (16), she's talented, she's a country artist and she's from Shelton's home… Oklahoma.

Those qualities and (home girl) location are right up Shelton's alley. Shelton stole Shriver from Kelly Clarkson. Clarkson is a two time winner as coach and a semi country singer.

When mentor Taylor Swift met Shriver, Swift said that she reminded her of herself being that she was tall with a guitar and sang country as did Swift when she started out while living in Nashville.

Now here's the ART of the SHELTON (coaching) DEAL. He's done this before by stealing a discarded singer and then going on to win the title with that singer. During season 7, the odds were 3 to 1 against Shelton's chance of winning another The Voice title as a coach of Craig Wayne Boyd. During the final Boyd was Shelton's only entrant. Boyd previously was discarded by Shelton's now girlfriend Gwen Stefani who took him after the cowboy cut him loose.

During his then title run Boyd was rejected twice. From the outset Boyd put his trust in fellow country artist Shelton. Ironically what stood out was during the audition rounds Stefani said to the country singers to beware of teaming up with Shelton since all of his country singers would be fighting over each other and that there only one could be the winner. Shelton eventually cut Boyd during the knockout rounds in favor of another country artist.

Stefani then saved Boyd and asked a major request of Boyd if he would agree to undergo a slight makeover which was trimming his hair and abandoning his rough edge (clothing) appearance.

The Nashville based singer agreed and things started to turn around for him until Stefani let him go in favor of another singer. At that point Shelton stole him back. Stefani cleaned his appearance and Shelton stole him back… go figure.

Apparently history is repeating itself again as Shelton is licking his chops evidently seeking to steal another winner after some other coach has developed them.

Her win was Shelton's second and at that time he became the shows top winning coach 2-1 over Levine. It was the country songs that put her over the top as one week her song went to # 1 on the I-tunes charts. Pope performed a heartfelt song, "Over You", co-written by Shelton. The song reached number one on the iTunes chart and knocked PSY's "Gangnam Style" down to number two.

You could say that Shelton has the magic touch but most importantly the talent to coach a talent to win. At this point with Shriver he has a great chance to do so.
