Dr Beat Richner Retains # 1 - NR Top 10 listings take two spots # 4 & # 6 - Saudi Arabia's World Cup Qualifying game vs. Thailand just 4 days after WORLD TRADE CENTER crisis BOLTS to # 3 - RACIST RADIO holds down # 9 position - Toshu Fukami retains # 7 - MUSIC PIRACY JUMPS 8 spots to # 12

NR TOP 10 according to YAHOO

Of the 571 National Radio stories listed on Yahoo this month Dr Beat Richner held on to the number one position of our NR Top 10 ratings that also revealed some shocking developments.

Overall National Radio held down the number 2 position of the 190,000,000 National Radio's listed on Yahoo. We ranked number 8 on the Google ratings of the 362,000,000 National Radio's they list.

You may ask the question WHY do we choose to use the YAHOO listings? The answer to that question will be explained in detail later.

Cambodia's Royal Palace moved up a notch to number 2 flip-flopping with Thailand's Rock musician legend Lam Morrison who now holds down the number three position.

Two other stories held their positions, that being Toshu Fukami at number 7 and RACIST RADIO at number 9.

Three new entries made it to the NR Top 10. They included our Top 10 ratings from May 2007 and March 2007 as well as a football story that we published in 2001 on Saudi Arabia verses Thailand in the World Cup Qualifiers.

The March NR Top listings actually were highly rated in our April 2007 ratings but we didn't publish it due to time constraints. That story broke all previous NR records for a story making it to the Top 10 the in the shortest period of time after being published. In doing so it topped Internet Theft from Travel Tips September 2006 and Beware of Thailand from Travel Tips April 2006.

Our Korea 2002 World Cup story that pointed out that Asian football demanded respect dropped from number 5 to number 10.

Music PIRACY was a fast mover gaining 8 positions from 20 to number 12. A business story of Yahoo acquisitions is one of our best ever ratings of a business story by landing in the number 11 sport in it's first month of release and eligibility.

The top Business story of National Radio was in our March of 2006 ratings when Fox Searchlight Pictures Promotes Zola Mashariki to Vice President of Production ranked # 7.

SHOCKING MOVER

The shocking mover into the Top 10 was a football story on Saudi Arabia. This is one of two stories that we remember well but couldn't locate it in our library. After doing our research we found that within that story was another story that we tried to find by couldn't locate that being the fatal mistake the FAT (Football Association of Thailand) made by not scheduling its team so it could be properly rested to enable them to adequately compete.

That fatal error on their part was the crucial blow to the decline of a Thai football program that made tremendous strides after Peter Withe mended a broken team that quit in a Tiger Cup match against Indonesia with both teams trying of to win since the winner would have to face Vietnam.

Their Tiger Cup win in 2000 against Indonesia under Withe was their exoneration of their shortcomings in 1998 prior to Withe's arrival.

More importantly that game marked a period WORLD HISTORY that will never be forgotten… the World Trade Center catastrophe.

September 11th is a date that will never be forgotten by those that were old enough to be aware of the tragedy. September 16 was the date of the Saudi Arabian match.

More ironic was that the other three competitors in the group were Iraq, Iran and Bahrain. This story brings back the environment at the game and a sense of what was going on in Bangkok's media at the time.

YAHOO vs, GOOGLE

Though Google is the number one search engine in the world we have found that it is lacking with clear specific information.

In our search for our ratings Google takes you to our listing then redirects you to other sites that have nothing to do with us by having a link on our information that states SIMILAR SITES.

YAHOO on the other hand has a link on our listing that states MORE FROM THIS SITE that leads you to the listing of hundreds of our stories dating back to when we first launched in 1997.

At that time Google wasn't in existence and currently doesn't have a complete list of our work. In the past Google listed us number 1 of all National Radio's but at that time they listed only 600 National Radio's.

At that time they also listed MORE FROM THIS SITE that listed our National Radio stories.

There is a big difference between listing HUNDREDS of OUR stories as Yahoo does OR listing us then channeling you off to other sites as GOOGLE DOES and not giving our accurate information.

Yahoo also lists the stories with PAGE SPECIFIC LINKS.... Google does not.

We were under the impression that a search engine should be subject specific and accurate. Therefore in listing our NR (National Radio) ratings we choose Yahoo over Google.

NATIONAL RADIO PUBLISHED IN 5 LANGUAGES

We are published in five languages, English, Thai, French, Russian and Khmer (Cambodian language). Any of our foreign language material is legally available ONLY on our National Radio site.

We have not had the direct to another site problem with Yahoo. Their information on our National Radio is correct and dates back to when we launched in 1997.

Sports Notes FEATURE - Saudi Arabia Asia's number two-ranked team repeatedly attacked the middle of the Thai National teams offense stealing the ball and a second round World Cup qualifying match in a come from behind victory. In the second half Saudi coach Nassar Al Johar placed Sami Al Jaber at midfield giving them five midfielders, and that made a difference. The tactic prevailed as the aggressive Saudi's repeatedly stole the ball by swarming and attacking the surprised Thai's. - The Football Association of Thailand somewhat shot themselves in the foot by poor planning for their first ever World Cup Qualifying competition.
