SPORTS NOTES - FEBRUARY's EXPLOSIVE SPORTS STORIES

James Loving/National Radio Text Service

February was an explosive month for sports stories. The first was the NFL's Tom Brady retiring AGAIN. The second was the Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes making his bid to be the successor of Brady's GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) reputation. And the lingering racial problem in which the NBA's Kyrie Irving was made an example of. He was made to behave, apologize and humiliated by his bosses. He was treated like a child and DISRESPECTED. The result was the owners lost the final two parts of the BIG 3 - NBA's ALL TIME BEST PLAYERS 1st and 2nd TEAMS

ARE ALL MEN CREATED EQUAL?

Can anyone recall a more explosive month in sports? With all of the transactions and announcements it is doubtful there has been a more explosive month in sports that is still in it's infancy with a half month to go.

For starters Tom Brady's 2nd retirement announcement is the leadoff. Recognized as the NFL's GOAT he made his bones (respect) in notching seven Super Bowl rings during his career. He played productively to the age of 45. Those numbers will be almost insurmountable to beat or equal. Yea, yea, sure, sure we know that he retired and changed his mind last season but that was personal and about the Brady Bunch(en). That has been resolved and finalized in a divorce.

The Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes is recognized to be Brady's successor. His early career numbers are comparable to Brady's road to his Super Bowl successes. In his young career Mahomes has won the holy grail of the NFL twice in three tries. He has been names the league's MVP for the 2nd time of Mahomes' six-year career, making him the 10th player ever to win the award twice. His other came in 2018; only Jim Brown and Kurt Warner won two MVPs in less time at the start of a career. Mahomes is the 13th quarterback in NFL history to win multiple Super Bowl championships.

Mahomes led his team to his 2nd Super Bowl title after leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a 38-35 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Mahomes, named Super Bowl LVII MVP for the 2nd time after being the MVP of Super Bowl LIV. Mahomes is the 13th quarterback in NFL history to win multiple Super Bowl championships.

His leadership was prominently on display as he played hurt with a high ankle sprain. He limped his way through the AFC championship game over the Cincinnati Bengals. In doing so he displayed not only the talent but the toughness and courage to lead his charges through battles AND WIN. General Patton, he's not he's simply a gutsy, talented Patrick Mahomes that loves the game of football and winning.

As the saying goes, no guts no glory. Mahomes earned his has guts and glory winning recognition and is believed to be the only player that has the team chemistry and individual talent to challenge Brady's record numbers. STAY TUNED…

BIG 3 DUSTED & BUSTED

Hey when I wrote my NO HAPPY BIG 3 column two years ago some thought I was crazy. I pointed out that too much talent cannot coexist. Having Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden on the same team was a nightmare waiting to happen and happen it did.

Last season Harden was the first to bolt or get outta Dodge aka Brooklyn. His reasons weren't clear but he found a more comfortable environment with the Philadelphia 76ers. That was then but THIS IS NOW.

This season Irving was subject to mental abuse and humiliation by the team's owners when he did some research on the Jewish religion. He was fined and suspended from play simply he found a film that he found interesting and revealing. His crime was in sharing a link to the film on his social media account.

The owners, who are Asian, felt his opinion and research would HURT A JEW'S FEELINGS.

The author of the piece is JON BLISTEIN of Rolling Stone magazine, who… apparently is a Jew. Let's be clear, there is nothing wrong in an individual researching their interests and finding it interesting enough to recommend to others. There is nothing wrong in practicing the Jewish religion. What is wrong is denying people their right to research whatever they want and not be ridiculed for it.

Irving served out his time, punishment and financial loss. He also agreed to their wishes that he make a public apology, which he did. He was treated like a child. Given the situation he sucked it up LIKE A MAN and assessed his feelings and situation.

The situation was self explanatory… a Jews feelings was more important than A BLACK MAN'S.

After all of that degradation Irving returned to the team with a losing record and led them on to a winning streak. His stats were up. Eventually he requested to be traded. His request was granted and now Irving is a Dallas Maverick. Irving's eventual comment was he wanted to be somewhere where he is respected. (Sing it Aretha)

There is more to his story that will be dealt with in a future column.

Following Irving's departure Kevin Durant, the original member of the BIG 3 then requested to be traded. His request was granted and he's now a Phoenix Sun. His attitude was relief and needed to get out of there.

The moral to this sad story is it's about RESPECT and treating ALL MEN TO BE CREATED EQUAL. WOW… I WONDER... WHERE I HEARD THAT FROM?

It appears that Irving, a black man, is not supposed to research his interests or share his opinions with others. He has no rights… HE'S BLACK. It simply indicates that HE IS NOT RECOGNIZED AND RESPECTED AS AN EQUAL.

These three men have something in common. WHAT? THEY ARE BLACK AND NOT JEWISH. DO JEWS HAVE A RIGHT TO THEIR FEELINGS AND OPINIONS AND BLACKS, aka NIGGERS, ARE NOT? GO FIGURE.

More February sports is busting out all over includes LeBron James braking the NBA scoring record, Shohei Ohtani is putting it on the line, we rate NBA draft picks with Jayson Tatum… AND MORE…
