CAMBODIA'S PROTECTION OF PEDOPHILE IGNORES INTERPOL REQUEST

Cambodia's pedophile protection of Russian millionaire pedophile Stanislav Molodyakov aka Alexander Trofimov continues to interest our readers as the Phnom Penh column Cambodia's PEDO HEAVEN continues to hold down the # 1 spot on our NR Top 10 list.

The government continues to ignore Interpol's request to extradite him to Russia for allegedly have sex with 9 and 10 year old children. He is on their Interpol's MOST WANTED list. Trofimov has invested over $300 million in Cambodia to develop an island off the cost of the beach town of Sihanoukville where pedophelia is rampant. At this time the government's RCAF is linked to the murder of an environmentalist and detaining two reporters overnight and confiscating their equipment.

Our Phnom Penh and Video Beat (TV review) columns each took four position on the chart. The surprising elimination of American Idol's Colton Dixon and Elise Testone were our fastest rising columns. Dixon's elimination at # 7 is out 2nd ranked story. Testone's elimination at # 6 is ranked 3rd. Although the Testone story ranked lower it is the fastest rising since the Dixon was story was published a week earlier.

The undertone of both columns was the manner in which the voting is reported leading to suspicion that the show is rigged. Judge Jennifer Lopez raises the biggest red flag in this scenario in how she functions as a cheerleader for contestant Phillip Phillips who has a poor voice with very little range. He has never been selected for the bottom three. Given that Dixon is much more talented and eliminated the message is that something is wrong with this picture.

Our Whitney Houston column regarding how her friends turned out for her funeral ceremony continues to draw interest. It is the only TV review that made the charts that wasn't about idol. In sports the NBA's Jeremy Linsanity Is Over column remains on the charts. Kobe Bryant's father Joe (Jellybean) Bryant coaching a team in Thailand also made the charts giving sports two spots in the NR Top 10.

One story that stands out the most is a Phnom Penh column that we did in 2005 regarding Cambodia's Freshie Girl & Boy contest. The column cannot be accessed directly through our Freshie main page on our website. It has to be accessed from a link to the 2005 reports. Why the interest in that year is not clear but we will declare that they are the most talented and mature group what we have observed since that time.

The focus was on it show's co-founder Noy Rauv who brought class and dignity to the program but departed soon after things went sour with disagreements of how things should be run. Since her departure the Freshie show has failed miserably compared to the events that Rauv was involved with in the past.

Since then there are a number of beauty and talent shows that have sprung up for all the wrong reason under the guise of something else. Young girls have been recruited to from the provinces t drop out of high school and try for a better life. After committing to a show since there is only one winner any of the other girls are left without an education and a questionable future.

As one producer said of the contestants on a reality show on the CTN channel that after they train the contestants to be on the show they are on their own when the show is over. His rationale is that the show gave them some exposure… for what is not clear and hopefully prostitution is not a result.

A recent celebrity show that touted itself as being the Grammy Awards of Cambodia repeatedly lied to us about their procedures and failed to be honorable about what they promised to do. When the results were announced the results were criticized by Cambodia observers as being fixed. Stay tunes a FULL STORY is forthcoming about this program.

Famed journalist Elizabeth Becker visiting members of the Overseas Press Club of Cambodia took the 10th position. Becker covered the Khmer Rouge conflict since 1972 for the Washington Post. She returned in 1978 and was almost murdered by the Khmer Rouge after they escorted her and her two other fellow journalists around to do their stories. One was murdered and she survived by sitting in a tub as she was advised to do if the situation arose.

SECTIONS MOST VISITED:

A major shakeup came about this month in the sections most visited category. Thailand came from nowhere and leaped to the top of the charts taking the number one position. It's the first time the section has made the charts on months and the first this year. Given we have diminished our coverage of the country for quite some time the hot spot story was our column regarding Beware of Thailand's Songkran holiday.

It's a major holiday for the Thai's involving throwing water and powder on passersby but for some Westerners its and intrusion on their holiday as they prefer not to be drenched in water and caked with powder as it can be costly to some electronic equipment they may carry and clothing.

We cover the subject every year warning tourists of the event as in the past we booked a trip unaware of the event and suffered injuries from a bucket of water being thrown in front of our motorbike by children causing us to skid off the road and be thrown off the bike and tumbled down an embankment about an eight foot drop.

Thai medical staff at a clinic treated us for free but the injuries took over a month to heal when we returned to the US in a cold climate in the Northeast of America while the injury required the abrasions not come in contact with clothing.

From that time on we avoided Thailand during this period. It's a negative experience that we will never forget. Since that time others have shared similar results and swore that they would never visit the country again due to their losses. We continue to visit Thailand but sparingly as it has changed for the worse but that's a matter of opinion based on ones length of experience with the country to relate to the changes. We have 24 years of experience with the Land of Smiles.

The NBA made the second most upward movement from 10th to 4th. Reports on Taiwan/Chinese Jeremy Lin, Kobe Bryant's father Joe coaching in Thailand and the Los Angeles Lakers Ron Artest aka Meta World Peace losing the plot and busing an opponent with and elbow to the temple area causing a concussion were the top stories driving the interest.

American Idol moved up two spots from 8th to 6th. The driving force being columns dealing with the elimination of Elise Testone and Colton Dixon were the hot topics.

Other points of interest in these articles is our take on the integrity of the shows voting system, favoritism being given to the no talent Phillip Phillips and judge Jennifer Lopez's overtures to Phillips in declairing that she WANTED HIM TO WIN. These are ohhh pleaseeee revelations of what we believe to be one of the biggest rip offs to the American public since Wall Street financial concerns brought the world to its knees in making bogus deals. Is Idol bogus and self serving... that is the question?

The Business section returned to the list for the first time in several months notching the 10th spot.

ARCHIVES

This month we are featuring two previous columns of the Freshie Girl & Boys contests from our first year of covering the show. The eventual winner never received a job that was to be a winning prize with the then sponsor Samart telecommunications. She was not needy as she comes from a well to do family related to Cambodia's Minister of Commerce.

At present there are several contests offering prizes.
