GOOGLE FLIPS THEN FLOPS

The subject matter was Bloomberg TV's Game Changers program profile of the Google dynamic duo co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page. It was a WOW (!!!) month as our television review column roared to the top of the list within a 24 hour period thus joining a short list of the fastest rising stories since we created our Top 10 ratings.

The story revealed how Google came together and within two years became the most popular site on the Internet masterminded by the two 26-year-old Stanford University school dropouts. The bio-doc included the bumps in the road the company experienced from the time they started with the duo's don't be evil motto to taking Microsoft's reputation as being the devil of the world.

In the process of obtaining the ratings information we discovered that there are no wings on the backs of the Google search engine information. It has been infected with disinformation and is very biased according to the region.

We experienced this in Google's search while we were in China and now appear to be spreading to the remainder of the East Asian region. The information we recently obtained from Google has been tainted and biased. What is supplied is that countries perspective and not what the world views. What we discovered appears to be that Google has given control of its search business to a regional organization. In doing so the searcher is receiving information that is not from an International perspective.

The search engine now is identified with the tag of the country from which you are searching. In the past there were two tags the Google International source and the country from where you are searching. The International tag is has been eliminated. The regional source is also in their language and English. What's lacking is the truth and reeks of a marginalized mentality. Google has lost the plot. We are in the news of the world business and not regional or Cambodia. Integrity is a vital part of our business and propaganda and corruption are not.

The Google cofounders Brin, Page story was followed by our tribute column remembering Joe Frazier who passed away earlier this month which took the 2nd position. That was followed up by another sad story which took the 3rd spot. The column featured an insight to the 20th anniversary of former NBA star Magic Johnson revealing that he had the HIV virus forcing him to retire from the league.

The second half of that column was devoted to the tragic death of a 19-year-old member of the Cambodia national basketball team Phal Samphors. His death came about from being hit head on by a oncoming truck while he was on his motorbike on his way home to give his parents $300 prior to his leaving for Indonesia to compete in the SEA Games.

The irony between the two subjects in the article is one who had attained success and contracted a virus thought to be deadly at that time lived longer with the disease than a young boy with great promise lived at all. The shocking numbers are 20 to 19.

The 4th spot was a strange choice as it is old and appears in the Top 10 only once soon after it was published. That story being our take on American Idol's Top 3 voices which was written at soon after the start of the regular season. The interesting aspect about that column is it contains the twitter address of the contestants and their popularity noting how many fans were following them. Strange enough the shows winner Scoot McCreary was the second most popular and runner-up was 5th. Who was the most popular? Check out the story and find out.

The 5th position was rocked by a double repeat person of interest that being ASIAN SHEENA SAKAI IS BACK on AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL ALL-STARS. This sassy lady didn't last long in her return to the all-star version and was sent home in the 2nd episode. She was spot on when she was eliminated in her original season as she said with a wink on her way out the door, "There will never be another Sheena :)."

There are two consistencies in what the world reads and what Google's diluted regional sources reveal which was implemented last week by Google. Those two stories are revealed in our Phnom Penh columns.

The 6th spot was taken by an organization that emerged with money from pirating copy written intellectual property material and selling it in Cambodia. They grew and largely developed Cambodia's fast food business and now claim that they want to be the Grammy Awards of Asia with their Sabay contest for the most popular entertainers in Cambodia. The problem was many of those selected to be in the competition didn't want to be associated with it. That story is titled SABAY CONTESTANTS FLEEING ADDS TO PROPOSED EVENTS MYSTERY - WHERE'S THE BEEF?

She was regularly beaten by her in-laws, raped by her husband. When CNN told her story her life became more tragic but CNN returned to feed off of her again for their selfish gratification. The fact that CNN was shameless enough to further exploit this young girl is indicative of how they practice mercenary journalism and take no prisoners as anyone who dies in their way of a story is apparently a causality of news wars scrambling for ratings.

At 6-4, he has the size and bulk to play linebacker for a professional National Football League (NFL) team in the United States
