WAS-SUP WIT LENO???

Hello...he's back...comedian Jay Leno that is, hosting the Tonight Show on CNBC. From 1992 to 2009 Leno hosted the tonight Show after taking over for TV legend Johnny Carson. In 2004, Leno signed a contract extension with NBC which would keep him as host of The Tonight Show until 2009. Later in 2004, Conan O'Brien signed a contract with NBC under which he would become the host of The Tonight Show in 2009, replacing Leno at that time.

The brain trust at the NBC Network (USA) decided to cancel Leno amid a host controversy. Leno left The Tonight Show on Friday May 29, 2009. The network went with O'Brien who took over on June 1, 2009. That effort failed as O'Brien was fired and Leno returned to host The Tonight Show again on March 1, 2010.

Though the program with Leno hosting it was televised in Asia on the CNBC Network they dropped it when O'Brien became the host. But wait!!!! Leno is back on the air in Asia on CNBC televised on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday evening from 10 PM on (Thai, Indonesia time zones) three different shows are televised back to back. Leno remains great and funny.

One problem with comedy is it sometimes doesn't translate well in foreign countries. Leno's humor is accessible as much of it deals with human behavior and not as dependent on words. Leno is a WORTH WATCH.

SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT

One of the most memorable films we have ever seen is Same, Same But Different. The films thunderous impact with us is because we know the subject matter and territory.

It is a 2010 German drama film starring German actor David Kross and Thai actress Apinya Sakuljaroensuk. Sakuljaroensuk is remarkable in her role portraying the HIV Cambodian prostitute Sreykeo. The film is directed by Detlev Buck.

The script follows the Benjamin Prüfer's 2006 article which was published in a magazine and later as a novel in 2007 about a German boy who falls in love with a Khmer prostitute. After their relationship began she becomes ill and upon his insistence she visits a doctor and finds that she is HIV positive.

At this point a viewer gets an accurate insight to the Khmer mentality as she is prepared to die and return in her next life. He insists that she fight to live and take medicine that she refuses to do. He returns to Germany but realizes that he's in love with her. He later returns to Cambodia and they marry.

In the trailer the real life couple is seen with their child currently living in Cambodia. This film is a must see. It truly depicts the plight of the poor in Cambodia who have very few choices as they try to survive which in too many cases leads to prostitution or the selling of their children into the business.

The film is spot on in every way. They say casting is everything and with Kross and Sakuljaroensuk they got it right, it was brilliant.. Both stars were believable and captivating in their portrayals. The film also captures the true essence of the Khmer culture, mannerisms, behaviors as well as exceptional video of accurate and vivid interior and exterior scenes.

The film is RAW & REAL. It depicts the real Cambodia. It's a MUST SEE and worthy of having in your DVD collection.

NOTE:

Kross also starred with Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes in the film The Reader.

CNN STILL ON TIGER WOODS & continue to OMIT EX US VP DICK CHEYNEY

For some strange reason the Dick Cheney $250 million stay out of jail fine in Nigeria story in December 2010 was hushed up by the major media. We failed to see reports of the story on CNN, BBC, Australian Network (ABC) or Channel News Asia. All of these networks spent enormous amounts of time reporting on Tiger Woods cheating on his wife and continue to do so.

Today our favorite conflict and WAR channel CNN went Woods bashing again more than a year after it was disclosed that Woods cheated on his wife. The so called ALL (sensational) NEWS Network aired a special feature titled DOWN FALL THE TIGER WOODS SCANDAL (where's the barf bag).

The piece features extensive interviews with Tiger's older half brother Earl Woods Jr. who said the last time he saw Tiger was at their father's funeral. They also interviewed ex-girlfriends of Woods who was an adult film actress. She was despondent because she had sex with someone else's husband (poor baby) and he decided to end the relationship after she went public. The program was interesting but a load of crap.

Its mind boggling to think that Tiger Woods cheating on his wife is more of a story and the former second ranking US official cheating on his country for FINANCIAL GAIN and BIG BUSINESS. Ask yourself where you aware of this story that was reported by the Guardian?

To take it a step further the US President Barak Obama bashing by CNN regarding his attempts to have a health care bill for the American people is more of a story to CNN than Cheney being basically a stealth like crook. It raises the question of is this a case of BEAT THE NIGGERS DOWN (and keep them in their place) and SAVE THE FACE OF WHITEY, the Republican Party and the good old US of A?
