JENNIFER LOPEZ CONTINUES TO DROWN IDOL

The good news is American Idol is in its last season and will be canceled. Its death is deserved as in its 15th and final season they continue to bury themselves with the same old tired chemistry which is being focused on the judges while using the talent as a backdrop.

This season Idol has given the judges more of a say of who will be in the competition as they alone decide who will go through and who will fail. Eliminating two contestants at a time is another bad decision with the judges being the decision makers.

The fact that the show is only airing ONE NIGHT as WEEK rather than two as in the past is indicative of the failings and unpopularity of the show.

The decision to allow the producers and the judges to choose which semifinalists proceeded to the top 14, thus eliminating viewers' long held custom of voting for whom they wanted to advance or be eliminated, was met with criticisms by bloggers and viewers alike.

Judge Jennifer "I want you to win Philip" Lopez undeservedly continues to be the centerpiece of the judging panel. She is in the spotlight too much and seems to have the last say in every matter. She is unprofessional and bold enough to INTERRUPT the other judges Harry Connick and Ketih Urban when they are giving their critiques that differ from her opinion.

Since Lopez became a judge on the show five years ago its ratings have dropped every season which ultimately has resulted in the culmination of the show. It is incredible why the Idol brass feel that she is their savior while by the numbers it is proven that he is a major factor in the shows demise. One of the problems is she is managed by Idols creator Simon Fuller which proves that incest is not best.

Overall the chemistry among the three judges doesn't blend well and comes off as stiff and contrived and awkward. Their critiques are either too technical or biased.

Season two runner-up Clay Aiken criticized this season's judges on Twitter for being too boring. He cited Simon Cowell's presence on the show as one of the reasons the show worked. Lopez later commented on the criticisms, saying "Well, everybody's entitled to their own opinion.

The relationship of the show being associated with a record label is another negative aspect. That influences who will win that will be in the best interest of the record label and not who is the best talent.

Another noticeable change is the absence of the huge red Coca Cola cups on the judges table. This has been a core visual throughout the Idol seasons. It's a sign the sponsors are like rats scurrying off a sinking Titanic ship and they don't want to be associated with a failure.

It's another season of selecting poor talent by the judges. You would think that given the number of contestants that By comparison many contestants on The Voice that were eliminated in the blind auditions have better voices that those in the Top 8 of American Idol.

While Idol continues to dive The Voice continues to thrive. Its four person judging team works well together. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have returned for their tenth season as coaches. Pharrell Williams has returned for his fourth season and Christina Aguilera has returned for her sixth season, after a season hiatus. They joke among themselves with Shelton being the target of many of the jokes and he takes it good naturedly.

The advisors for this season will include American Idol reject Tori Kelly for Team Adam. Since being rebutted by Idol Kelly has become a star without them.

The shows own diva Cristina Aguilera returns to the show and appears to be a changed woman. This season she has lightened up her attitude and is more fun loving as opposed to her former too cool to be in school attitude.

Although the judges decide who will be on the show in choosing talent from the blind auditions their choices are better than Idol's given that its based on the voice and not their appearance of the talent which is a major factor on Idol.

The save feature is another plus for the show as it gives talent a second chance to win the contest as was the case when Josh Kaufman won the title.

Overall Idol failed because it was too full of itself and continues to be. Their focus on making the judges the stars was a major mistake. The Voice continues to grow and make sensible changes that benefit the talent while the judges are a positive effect with their humor. Basically The Voice works while American Idol continues to FAIL.
