SOS (Same OLD $#!t)

It was the same scenario for the American Idol final tonight as the judge's pet Lee DeWyze walked away with the title raising the question was the FIX IN? Idol host Ryan Seacrest said that less than 2% was the difference in the voting between the two contestants as to who would win. The result repeated last season's fiasco when the better talent finished runner-up. Last season it was Adam Lambert perhaps the best ever voice on the program this season it was Crystal Bowersox who by far has the better voice and flexibility of vocal stylings of the two finalists.

Another repeat of last season was Bowersox like Lambert was praised after being the best during the performance show of the two contestants the previous evening. Odd enough after a sub par DeWyze performance in his second song and a song of his choosing 'Everybody Hurts' judge Ellen Degeneres said to DeWyze, "You went off a couple of times but I don't care about that its more about the performance."

After the same song judge Kara DioGuardi said, "It wasn't a perfect vocal but that's what I love about you." Simon Cowell followed with, "You went a little bit off the melody in parts."

And so it went as the judges continued to set the eventual winner up with mixed critiques while praising Bowersox who never made a mistake followed by her losing the competition.

Cowell who admitted that on a personal level he liked DeWyze and also inserted that the American Idol competition was designed for people like DeWyze, a person who needed a break after working as a sales person in a paint store.

Bowersox made what could be interpreted as a major mistake when after receiving praise from the judges on her last song she asked before Cowell gave his critiques if she could say something. Permission was granted and she went on to say to Cowell how much she appreciated his critiques and since he was leaving the show wished him luck in his future endeavors.

Bowersox is a great talent but her statement was a bit but of place and came off as patronizing. That could have been her downfall. Cowell went on the give her a positive critique by saying of her performance, "Was by far the best performance and song of the night."

The red flags really rose when the same firm Telescope and it's founder and chairman Edward Bottington gave the certified (?) results. Our questions are WHO IS TELESCOPE and what is their relationship with American Idol creator Simon Fuller or 19 Entertainment? One fact sticks out... THEY ARE ALL BRITISH.

After a season of declining ratings and the shows worst selection of talent it appears the bloom if off the American idol rose as their credibility is certainly in question.

NOTES:

Paula Abdul made an appearance on the results show in given a tribute to Cowell and saying how much she liked him...

DeWyze gave a strong performance with Chicago a band from his home town of Chicago. DeWyze style fit Chicago's but his voice is not a strong as the groups former lead singer Terry Kath who passed away at a young age...

DeWyze also sounded good with Bowersox and the person we thought he sounded like Joe Cocker as they teamed up and sang Cocker's and the Beatles hit, 'A Little Help From My Friends.' Cocker is no spring chicken and his voice is not in shape but he still can scream as he did in one section of the song...

Former Doobie Brothers lead vocalist Michael McDonald and Barry Gibb of the BG's also made an appearance on the results show their voice showed signs of wear and tear plus age as they cracked and couldn't hit some of the notes during their performances...

Other top talent on the performance show included Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, Hall & Oates, Carrie Underwood, Bret Michaels, Ruben Stoddard, Kelly Clarkson and others...

REPEATS of both the performance and results show will be televised this weekend in Southeast Asia on Star World. Saturday is the performance show and Sunday is the results show. Please note the schedule below.

BBC GOT HUMAN TRAFFICKING PROGRAM RIGHT

After previously making the mistake of sensationalizing programs regarding human trafficking the BBC got one right with a program that doesn't glorify some fund raising Rhinestone Rambo who wants to be on TV and show the world how brave and tough he is in going into a dangerous situation to save children from being sold into prostitution.

They did it right by interviewing the victims and their parents in Kenya Africa who in many cases sold their children because they needed money to eat.

A film Trade on the same subject aired this week on the Star Movie Channel with the backdrop being Mexico and the USA staring Kevin Kline. An American federal insurance fraud investigator (Kline) who went looking for his illegitimate half Mexican daughter came in contact with a boy who was searching for his sister who was abducted in Mexico and smuggled into the USA.

When the investigator realized the boy's plight he tried to help him rather than turn him in as being an illegal alien. In their travels the investigator went to the police for help but they refuse, it does not fit in their strategy against the larger criminal organization the gang is part of. At the end of the film was the statement that they don't' find children who are trafficked into America because THEY DON'T CARE.
