DOES AMAZING RACE ASIA SEEK CONTROVERSY?

The Amazing Race Asia # 4 programs casting director Pricilla Yeo seems to have been looking for some of the entrants to have a naughty but nice aspect to their background. The Philippines will be represented by two teams. Tattooist Jacinta James (Jess), 27, and model Lani Pillinger, 27 claim to be party girls who plan to spice up the show with attitude and plan to be challenging. James' background includes having been a strip club manager. Both girls were born and raised in Australia and now live in the Philippines.

The other foreigner transplants to the Philippine team is pro basketball player Richard Hardin, 34, and actor Richard Herrera, 31 who come off as bad @$$ home boy types. As former NBA star Charles Barkley would say... Bad dudes man bad F'n dudes. It wasn't revealed what team Hardin plays or has played for. The USA version had two players from the famous Harlem Globetrotters. So what team did Hardin toil the pines for? Stay tuned and tune in September 23.

MURDERS IN THE NAME OF GOD?

Nine years ago today the 9/11 attacks occurred in America. The world is in turmoil with religious strife. It raises the question what is all of this conflict and murder about is it about GOD or about land?

Earlier this week the Foreign Correspondents report Collision Course was telecast on the Australia Network regarding the Gaza Flotilla blockade/raid by Israeli forces. The program captured on the spot as it happened media coverage of the event in a tense standoff 150 kilometers off the coast of Gaza.

The activist's mission was to break the Israeli Navy blockade of Gaza and bring aid to the Palestinian enclave. The Flotilla included 600 peace activists including 28 from the UK from the time it departed from Istanbul. The ships sailed under the banner of the Free Gaza Movement - the largest vessel in a flotilla of six.

Media were on board a Turkish ship the Mavi Marmara. The TV reporters and a camera team were from a group called Cultures of Resistance making a film. Their footage was the key to understanding what really happened. The Free Gaza coordinator on board was Lubna Masarwa. The program was presented from the Israeli perspective as BBC/Panorama reporter Jane Corbin was on the scene with access to the Israeli's top secret unit Naval Commando 13 which had never been filmed by the media in action before.

The video used in the report included Israeli footage as well as the security and other video confiscated from the Turkish ships after they were overpowered by the Israeli military. The video actually exposes the unfairness employed by the Israeli military in their blockade of Gaza a perspective which is left up to ones interpretation.

The program captured on tape the Israeli warnings to the Turkish ships and the preparations of the activists took to defend themselves by cutting pipes from the ships rails and interviews with those involved from both sides.

An activist said of the pipes, "If the Israelis came to the boat we'd use them. That was our intention."

As the Flotilla approached Israeli warnings rang out… Mavi Marmara you are approaching an area of hostility. If you ignore this order and attempt to enter the blockaded area, the Israeli Navy will be forced to take all the necessary measures in order to enforce this blockade.

The attack followed with the result being nine Turks were murdered and 50 injured. Only nine Israeli soldiers were injured but were medically treated below deck by Turkish doctors. The underlying irony is that Israel is killing people in an effort to save the land they claim is GOD given as described in their bible.

MAJ GEN (ret.) GIORA EILAND: (Head of IDF Inquiry) said of the Israeli commandos, "They were committed to kill and to be killed. Under these kind of circumstances in a very complex area like a ship, the results are surprisingly low."

Part of the video information the Israeli's provided was supposedly a statement made by the activists after receiving warnings prior to being attacked. Shut up. Go back to Auschwitz. We're helping Arabs going against the US. Don't forget 9/11 guys. The activists deny that they made such a statement.
