THE NOT SO DYNAMIC EGO DUO TOGETHER AGAIN

When it comes to garbage and egotistic personalities CNN's Piers Morgan tops the list. The surly Irishman continues to create controversy with his style of interviewing much of it including promoting himself when addressing a topic or guest and degrading America and its politics. Last month Morgan struck gold when he had US politician Barney Frank as a guest on his show to address the American financial crisis. Frank said to reduce the debit that America should stop being the POLICE OF THE WORLD.

That was a good point as it has been reported the America spends US $1 billion a day fighting wars. The reason most stated is that the US is trying to spread democracy to other countries as well as protect their interests.

Did someone say that rubber and oil and other natural resources are in large part some of the causes of war?

Morgan is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to integrity. He loves to prop himself up as one that is in the know. When he was the editor of the now disgraced News of The World and its owner Rupert Murdoch he boasted on his current Piers Morgan program on CNN that he assigned a reporter obtain a job as a footman to infiltrate England's Royal Palace together some behind the scenes dirt on the Royal family. With a smirk on his face he added that the individual was hired without having any previous experience on the job. Morgan is proud of his dodgy past.

His proclivity for his sleazy style of reporting has placed Morgan under scrutiny. He deflects his critic's complaints of his obvious deficiency in integrity by saying that anyone who has access to the Internet can say whatever they want about him with most of it negative. He bolsters his deflections by often making snide comments about who is a respected journalist in the reporting business. Obviously he feels that with all of his squalid past that he is one of the chosen people in the industry.

Beatle Paul McCartney's wife Heather Mills warned Morgan that she would sue him if he revealed her private communications that he unlawfully acquired of private communications with her former husband when they were in the process of splitting up. Morgan has yet to reveal what that private information that he has stolen is about regarding the couple.

This past week Morgan had Simon (know it all) Cowell as a guest on his show. Cowell was promoting his new in America TV show the X Factor. Morgan noted that the two have been friends for 20 years. Morgan went on to one of his favorite subjects of complaining about American politics and their current debt crisis. Surprisingly for once Cowell made a brilliant statement in telling Morgan that since they are British they shouldn't be complaining about another countries politics. Morgan's curt reply was, "Why not."

Cowell went on to infer that it was none of their business and the two megalomaniacs went on to talk about what Cowell wanted to promote... his new show which we will report on at a later date.

Apparently America doesn't have talent if they have to settle for the likes of Piers Morgan, Simon Cowell and other British and Australian performers who are invading American television programming. Of course in large part it is due to the disgraceful leader of the now defunct News of the World, Fox television and News Corp Rupert Murdoch who has his own critics, particularly from many of his former employees.

THE VOICE

In our more recent columns we have been commenting on the singing talent competition The Voice. The program was said to be the most popular new program in America this season. Season one has finished in America and is now being televised on the AXN Network in East Asia.

Unfortunately after viewing several shows the talent level is poor and the judging is too gracious. The judges Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine are totally the opposite of Simon Cowell's terse and rude reviews of talent.

The judges are praising talent that lack quality voices and often go off pitch. They follow the Paula Abdul style of critique that everyone is wither good or very little is wrong with their talent. In the real world of the entertainment business people are mostly crude and rude while few have tact to tell you a talent in a nice way that they don't have what it takes to be successful. The good news is that there are two 16-year-old female singers Xenia and Raquel Castro who have gone through to the performance round in which the public votes to determine who will win the contest. In this respect the show is a worth watch. A new episode airs tonight.

THE AMAZING RACE 19

The 19th season of the Amazing Race (USA version) will air its first episode tomorrow Monday September 26th on the AXN Network. The show is scheduled to air at 6:15 PM in the Bangkok and Jakarta time zones and 7:15 PM in the Singapore and Hong Kong time zones.

The program has some interesting contestants which includes former Survivor winners and dating couple Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca; Zac Sunderland, the first person under 18 to sail solo around the world, and his father Laurence; retired NFL player Marcus Pollard with his wife Amani; and former Olympic snowboarders Andy Finch and Tommy Czeschin. At this point this is a must watch if the personalities are lively. Tune in and find out.
