The Cambodian government has ignored Interpol and Russia's extradition requests for his appearance to be tried for child sex crimes in Russia. NR TOP 10 March 2012 - CAMBODIA'S PEDO HEAVEN IS OUR TOP STORY

American Idol and the death of Whitney garnered the most interest this past month from our National Radio readers. The best news is again readers are interested in the Cambodian government's protection of Russian millionaire pedophile Stanislav Molodyakov aka Alexander Trofimov in making another of the pedophiles stories number one - Several changes were made in our sections most visited with American Idol, Entertainment, China and the NBA making the greatest impact - Sports and politics emerged from our Archives stories of interest featuring former NFL great Howie Long and Timor East president Jose Ramos Horta

Tuesday March 27, 2012

TELEVISION REVIEWS TAKE FIVE of 10 SPOTS

For the first time ever all of the National Radio Top 10 stories are NEW. This is unparalleled since we began reporting our Top 10 ratings in January 2006. The only constant that remains from our original report is our coverage of the Freshie Girl & Boy contest.

Television reviews ruled the roost this month taking five of the NR Top 10 ratings spots. Sadly three of those positions were columns covering the tragic death of Whitney Houston. The other two were regarding American Idol pertaining to the changes they've made this season after previously stating there format would be the same as last season.

What's that's saying about liar, liar pants on fire? There are plenty of hot pants on American Idol this season. Many of the months NR Top 10 selections appear to be politically related. Our top story is about apparently Cambodia's most revered investor and pedophile Stanislav Molodyakov aka Alexander Trofimov the Russian real estate developer who invested $300 million to develop an island off the shores of Cambodia's beach town Sihanoukville. This area is renowned for it over abundance of pedophile residents and corruption. It's a region that the Ministry of Tourism is trying to develop as Cambodia's biggest attraction after Angkor Wat in claiming it is one of the world's most beautiful beaches.

Molodyakov the PRINCE OF PEDO was to serve a 17-year sentence in Cambodia and then be sent to Russia. The events that followed is his 17 year sentence was cut in half followed by a Royal pardon in 2011 after he served only 4 years for having sex with 17 underage female CHILDREN in Sihanoukville.

Trofimov is on Interpol's most wanted list and the Cambodian government said it would turn him over to Interpol and Russian authorities for having sex with 9 and 10 year-old girls. One red flag is since he was on Interpol's most wanted list how did he get into Cambodia and have the freedom to commit these crimes?

Since his at the time secret release on December 20th 2011 he has been seen in Sihanoukville driving around in a white Lexus as well as shopping in a super market in Phnom Penh. The Cambodia Daily reported that his car has a government VIP parking pass on the dashboard. He is believed to be staying in a villa in Sihanoukville owned by a high up government official.

An English language magazine that specializes in sleazy stories promoting prostitution, drug and alcohol claims that an unnamed pedophile's freedom cost $3 million. At the time of the Russian's release two other pedophiles that aren't wealthy were also released. Since his release the pedo has approached one of his child victims now 17-years-old and she told the Cambodia Daily that she was terrified of him. Obviously the Cambodian government is more protective of its rich pedophiles than its children and NGO's are furious about it having signed a petition to have the pedo prince extradited back to Russia.

There are now over 200 Russians living in Sihanoukville. When we first arrived in there during the 1st quarter of 1999 only 20 foreign residents of various nationalities were said to be living in the entire area.

American Idol chopping quickly to the Top 13 was our fastest rising story reaching number 2 within 20 days of being published. Another Idol story noting that the shows judges have been granted too much power jumped to 6th place in the ratings after only seven days of release. Given that there was such a short period from the time release to the ratings charts makes it our fastest riser but failed to attain higher rating of our previously mentioned Idol story.

Sports made its mark in the ratings with the NBA's Chinese/American Jeremy Lin grabbing the spotlight as well as 3rd place on the charts. The NBA All-Star game that we deemed a family affair as four of the five starters were from the Los Angeles teams the Clippers and the Lakers.

One of the biggest stories of the year transcended all categories given how a Chinese American basketball player overcame all odds and rejection to win the hearts of people around the world. It came to an end but our column The Linsanity Fever is Over ranked number three on our charts.

American born of Taiwanese decent Jeremy Lin inspired millions around the world with his outstanding play and attitude. After failing to receive a college scholarship to play basketball he paid his own way to the very expensive Harvard University which is one the best in the world and requires excellent grades and intelligence.

He was cut by two NBA teams the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets and eventually signed by the New Your Knicks. When he was inserted into the New York Knicks line-up he was an instant success in turning a losing team around to win 8 of their next 10 games while their two superstars were absent due to injury and a death in the family.

The world went wild in following his progress and they began purchasing Jeremy Lin merchandise that flew off the racks so much so they were on backorder.

When the two stars returned each making 24 times the salary Lin earns the team went into a losing skid. The coach eventually resigned and Lin remains a starter. This story won't go away. In a sense Lin is doing more to bring China and Taiwan together than the governments. He plans to visit China in the off-season.

The NFL made an impression as our story on the Super Bowl when New England quarterback Tom Brady was taking on the Manning family tradition of quarterbacks, Archie (the dad) and his sons Peyton and Eli. Brady's Pats lost to Eli's New York Giants 21-17 and the Manning's have tied Brady in the in the Super Bowl winning category 3-3. That column is ranked 10th.

An interesting development came out of the match up as Brady's wife actress/model Gisele Bundchen had a tiff with journalists after the game and defended her husband by saying that he couldn't throw and catch the ball at the same time. During the game several of Brady's passes were dropped by his receivers in key game winning situations. There is a saying regarding irate females of don't get your panties in a bunch and it applies here with don't get your panties in a Bundchen.

Our Shoppers Guide Consumers Beware Phnom Penh column made an impact on the ratings rocketing to the 4th position. The main focus of that story is the problem of sending and receiving mail in Cambodia. The problem is attributed to low wages thus postal employees steal. One of the methods is when the stamps aren't postmarked they are licked off and the money is pocketed.

Numerous times we have sent mail and not received it was well. The post office in Phnom Penh repeatedly asks if it was registered and asks for a receipt. Few employees speak English. A sign in the lobby indicates not to send checks in the mail.

Only in Cambodia have we experienced this problem. In a Western civilization can you imagine not being able to pay your bills by not being able to send a check? It's doable via electronic banking but that has its problems as well but in Cambodia that's a technology that needs to be worked out and the integrity of some Cambodian banks are in question.

SECTIONS MOST VISITED:

In our sections most visited our Cambodia section leaped from 6th to 1st place. Much of that interest is attributed to the Khmer Rouge Tribunal which continues its Machiavellian ways of a calamity of errors and questionable behavior causing some foreign judges to resign from the proceedings. As activist and former Khmer Rouge prisoner Theary Seng says it's a farce.

Entertainment was the big winner in our sections most visited category. In the past it was seldom ranked in the Top 10. The tragic death of Whitney Houston was the momentum catapulting the section to the 5th position in the ratings. American Idol made its seasonal return in taking the 8th spot. That section is a major player of interest every year when the show is being televised. China has maintained its place in the rankings and moved up one spot from 10th to the 9th position. The NBA returns to the ratings in notching 10th place.

ARCHIVES

One of our oldest stories emerged in a most read category of former NFL great and current NFL television analyst Howie Long. After his retirement from the NFL, Long also tried his hand at acting staring in the film Firestorm.

Politics gained some attention with our story about Timor East President Jose Ramos-Horta titled A Man With a Plan. Coincidentally the story is popular now after Ramos-Horta recently lost his reelection bid. Prior to taking the presidential position Ramos-Horta was touted as being the head of the UN.

NOTE:

The Google search engine results have been tampered with and do not reflect the true ratings as in the past. The problem being that a Google representative came to Cambodia last year. Prior to that visit the results reflected a Khmer listing and an English language listing. Problems surfaced in the second half of November 2011 when our National Radio listing beginning with WELCOME TO National Radio was duplicated with Cambodia's National Radio ON THE SAME ENGLISH LANGUAGE PAGE IN the KHMER language also using our WELCOME TO in ENGLISH.

Since that time the English version has been replaced with a Cambodian perspective in English. Currently the listings are done by the Open Institute in Phnom Penh whose purpose was to transpose the English language to Khmer. The government is heavily involved with the organization. According to their web site the non profit the organization has been collaborating with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.

Given our criticism of the mysterious rise in the FIFA ratings by the losing national football team and reports regarding the improprieties in Cambodia such as the government supported and Royal pardon of Russian millionaire pedophile Stanislav Molodyakov aka Alexander Trofimov release our listing has been deleted and replaced by several pages of New Zealand's national radio and NOTHING ELSE.

For the true search results go to ANY OTHER search engine to find actual search results with integrity. More on this story later. If it's integrity you're looking for it's hard to find in Cambodia.

RETURN POWER TO THE PEOPLE - What American Idol stated prior to the season has been ignored in their published reports that their format would remain the same.
