BAD KARMA FOR JOHN TERRY - NBA ALL STAR WEEKEND WINNERS - WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND - IS FLOYD MAYWEATHER AFRAID OF PACQUIAO? - FACING ALI - MARK McGWIRE WIRED OR NOT IS NO LONGER THE QUESTION

BAD KARMA FOR JOHN TERRY

You can say what you want about John Terry fathering a child with former Chelsea teammate Wayne Bridge's girlfriend but Karma is now coming into play. ESPN Singapore sports talk pundits agreed that the England national squad could do without Bridge but not Terry. They went on to say that Bridge would be the most likely to be dropped from the squad to avoid conflict with Terry.

Their point was England can win without Bridge but not Terry. Now that Ashley Cole has been injured and expected to be out for at least three months his understudy Bridge would be the likely choice to replace him for the World Cup if Cole doesn't heal and be in shape enough to compete in the World competition.

The real tragedy is the mild media coverage on Terry's discretions further exposes the NMMD's (Negative Media of Mass Destruction) nigger bashing of Tiger Woods and their beat the nigger down he's too big for his britches mentality. The biases of the reports are comparable to as if Terry broke wind and Woods dropped the H bomb on Hiroshima.

We have yet to see the media interviewing law enforcement regarding neither Terry's actions nor a helicopter hovering over his home to monitor his every move as they did Woods. The ESPN Singapore pundit's point that Woods doesn't play a team sport magnifies the indecency of Terry's fathering a child of a former Chelsea football club teammate and current England national squad colleague. Being a teammate makes his state of affairs worse.

NBA ALL STAR WEEKEND WINNERS

A record 108,713 fans at Dallas Stadium saw the East All-Stars defeat the West 141-139 in a game that went down to the last seconds when the Denver Nuggets Carmelo missed a desperate three point try. The Miami Heats Dwyane Wade was voted the games MVP. Wade scored 28 points and took down 11 rebounds.

The Boston Celtics Paul Pierce won the three point shooting competition. The Phoenix Suns Steve Nash won the skills competition for the second time and the New York Knicks guard Nate Robinson win the slam dunk competition for a record third time. The 5-foot-9 New York Knicks guard also won in 2006 and 2009.

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND

You know the saying and it applies to Super Bowl quarterbacks Drew Brees and Peyton Manning. After the game Brees revealed how helpful Manning was when he was a rookie with the Colts and Brees a sophomore at Purdue University. Manning always gave Brees tips and watched him play for the Boilermakers. Manning would call Brees and give advice after watching Brees play on TV. Since Brees and the New Orleans Saints defeated his teacher and the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 for the Super Bowl title is proof positive that Manning is a good teacher and Brees is a good listener.

IS FLOYD MAYWEATHER AFRAID OF PACQUIAO?

The bow-wow woof, woof tactics of Floyd Mayweather demanding an unprecedented blood test of Manny Pacquiao test within a month of their previously scheduled bout in March suggests that Meriwether is afraid of the PAC MAN. Why the mind games? Pacquiao's biggest opponent is himself. Being a celebrity in the Philippines he is appearing on TV shows and making movie appearances as well as intending to run for public office. Forget Mayweather spreading himself too thin could be a major problem.

FACING ALI

A must see documentary Facing Ali is the perspective from the fighter Ali defeated in his career. Even those who defeated Ali such as Leon Spinks, Larry Holmes and Ken Norton praised the man who was loved by many and despised by racists and those who disagreed with his choice not to be drafted into the US Army and fight the Vietnamese.

Canadian George Chavulo now 71 but looks fit and as strong as a bull gave the most incite full interviews particularly about how the mafia threatened Ernie Terrell's manager to back out of fighting Ali thus Chavaulo got the bout. He gave Ali all that he could handle in losing the fight. After the fight Ali said that Chavaulo was the toughest fighter that he ever fought.

Norten defeated Ali twice but lost the rematch in a controversial decision. As George Foreman said in the film Ali never beat Norton. Norton later had an auto accident and was paralyzed for three years.

Ali visited him when he was in the hospital and Norton recognized him thus helped give him the strength to recover that took five years. I interviewed Norton and Joe Frazier with Ali present at an HBO event in the early nineties. Ali didn't talk but jokingly threw a punch at me thus showing his sense of humor. He was suffering from Parkinson's and brain damage at the time but knew what was going on around him.

There have been several documentaries about Ali but this is the best by far. THIS IS A MUST SEE.

MARK McGWIRE WIRED OR NOT IS NO LONGER THE QUESTION?

The truth came out after former MLB star Mark McGwire admitted to using steroids. It now becomes clear why he was so defensive when we asked for an interview in 1998. Apparently the news media ahs always been suspicious of his steroid use and now we know. McGwire broke the MLB single season home run record then held by Roger Maris.

Barry Bonds who broke the all-time all-time home run record held by Hank Aaron has been accused of steroid use but has yet to admit it. Since the Bonds controversy blew up to major proportions MLB teams have avoided signing him.
