The banning of Russian athletes from competing is utter nonsense. Why should an athlete be punished for the actions of their government? An athlete works the majority of the life on the development of their body and skills to compete. To punish them is like a child being punished for the actions of their parents. Sanctions will bring the US and Western governments practicing such bias fusing their perceived enemies together to form an entity for a new world order. Politicians are Pissing in the Face of a Wind

The actions of athletic bodies and the US government are overbearing in their sanctioning Russian athletes from competing in various tournaments. Why should an athlete be responsible for the actions of their government? Should a child be held responsible for the actions of their parents? All governments that participate in this practice will have the procedure come back to haunt them.

With the rationale being that Russia is committing war crimes with its invasion of the Ukraine the comparable the bias that is the US and Israel have been committing war crimes since they commenced their partnership in 1948. There is some sentiment that both the US and Israel also should be denied participating in International competitions.

Politics and sports shouldn't mix although one leader is performing his best to get his word out. World football governing body FIFA did the right thing in turning down a request by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to appear via video link ahead of the World Cup final in Qatar according to CNN.

Zelensky is said to have offered to share a message of "world peace" before the game between defending champions France and Argentina which was set to be watched by hundreds of millions around the world.

CNN reported that the plea was dismissed by FIFA, leaving Zelensky's office "surprised by the negative response."

Zelensky has repeated his calls for the "complete isolation" of Russian athletes, as he spoke to the head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, in a telephone call in early December.

The upside is the IOC stated that the exile of large numbers of Russian and Belarusian athletes on the international stage - enforced because of the conflict in Ukraine - could be coming to an end.

The IOC said it would explore a proposal to allow Russians and Belarusians to compete as neutrals at events under the auspices of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The step could pave the way for athletes to ensure they have a chance to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

FIFA is guilty of permitting Israel to compete in the World Cup trial competitions while Russia was denied. FIFA President Gianni Infantino displayed bias by focusing on players not advocating a position on political matters. That backfired as players went underground going stealth like with their grievances and support of various causes such as human rights and supporting the gay community.

A pioneer in not observing a bias policy is the USC's Dana White. White was the first to defy the COVID bans in America and take his business elsewhere. That elsewhere was an Arab country. By his actions he does not agree with the policy of denying Russians to compete. Some of the UFC's top talent are and were Russian including now retired champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

White's actions in defying the growing sentiment the US and Israel are trying to sell is Arabs and Russians are the enemy. He is permitting athletes with the talent from any country to compete including those from Israel and Arab countries.

American politicians are filled with hate and vigor with their harsh language of what other nations better do what they say or ELSE, as in something bad will happen. At the same time, most notably China and Russian leaders are talking peace and unity. The contrast is frightening.

The harsh actions have resulted in Russia and China uniting is agreeing to have their athletes compete against each other. Russia and China will jointly hold more than 600 sports events in 2023, according to a pact that was recently signed between the two countries.

News of the development was announced by Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin, who expressed his gratitude "for our teamwork and effective work" and for "the integrity of our Chinese colleagues in terms of cooperation."

"This is a good example for other countries, for the whole world. Such relationships minimize the risks of society's turbulence and set an example. I wish you all peace and sports victories," Matytsin said via video link.

The years 2022 and 2023 have already been declared years of cooperation between Russia and China in physical culture and sports by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

North America's NHL (National Hockey League) includes Russians. Dozens of Russians remain on the rosters of NHL teams. Washington Capitals star Russian Alex Ovechkin passed Gordie Howe for second in all-time NHL goals with 802. Ovechkin, 37, trails only Wayne Gretzky for the most goals in NHL history. Gretzky scored 894 goals in 1,487 games.

While some Western governments are trying to implement a new type of colonialism the new generation is implementing a new concept of… WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG? THE QUESTION REMAINS… WHY NOT?
