FINAL THREE ON THE LOT CONTENDERS

Only three directors remain on the reality show On The Lot from the group of 50 filmmakers who were selected from 12,000 worldwide submissions. They competed in weekly elimination competitions for the ultimate prize of a million dollar development deal at DreamWorks Films and an opportunity to work with famed film director and DreamWorks cofounder Steven Spielberg.

The decision was made by viewer voting after the screening of two of each of the director's films shown last week. Their opinions decide the winner in a telecast this Wednesday night August 22nd (in Southeast Asia) on the Star Movie channel.

The finalists include Will Bigham 31, who has expressed his desire to win and do what he loves to do to support his family. He is a film editor originally from Canyon, Texas who is currently living in Glendale, California and attended film school at FSU (Florida State University).

The question is why did he enter the contest?

" Raising kids in LA isn't cheap. My wife and I are barely scraping by as filmmakers, and that's not the life I want for my children. At the beginning of 2007, we realized that this was going to be our "make it or break it" year. On the Lot is giving me the opportunity to get my foot in the door and stick around a little longer, hopefully achieving my dreams and giving my children an opportunity to achieve theirs as well."

Jason Epperson, 30, also made the final 3. Epperson is the owner of film production company. He was born and raised in Winchester, Kentucky.

The bottom line is the winner will have the opportunity to work with and learn from one of the film industries all-time best directors in Spielberg.

Spielberg is a three-time Academy Award winner and the most financially successful filmmaker, with an estimated net worth of $3 billion.. As of 2006, Premiere listed him as the most powerful and influential figure in the motion picture industry.

Spielberg was the director of a number of film hits. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial released in 1982 and Jaws released in 1975 are two of his most notable films that appeal to family audiences around the world.

He won the film industries most prized award the Academy Awards as Best Director in 1993 for Schindler's List and 1998 for Saving Private Ryan. He was nominated for that award in 1977 for Close Encounters of the Third Kind, 1981 for Raiders of the Lost Ark and 1982, for E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, and 2005 Munich.

His award list looms large and worthy of Spielberg's own story, which we will write at a later date.

CAMBODIAN REALITY TV PIZZA HOUSE

The Pizza House a reality TV series produced by Cambodia's CTN Network is down to their final three contestants. The show is televised daily at various times with the Sunday show televised at 1:00 PM being the decision maker of who goes and who stays.

This past week Bo Nita Sun 18, received the lowest number of SMS votes and will return to her home in the beach town of Sihanoukville. "I want to go home," said the recently graduated high school student who seemed weary of her four months being in the competition.

After her elimination she was sent to the Cambodiana Hotel where she will spend a night, as do all of the dismissed contestants on their last day on the show.

We ran into Bo Nita and two of her fellow Pizza house contestants who survived the cut Bun Thoen, 23 and Rithy Chun, 24 as they were enjoying her final day on the show at the Sorya Shopping Center in central Phnom Penh. They and another friend were about to see a movie.

With only three remaining contestants the problem is how can you run a Pizza business with only three people and one has to cook?

CTN producer Aaron Leverton said they brought in contestants Sre Leak Touch and Chana Vut Souvan from the Coffee Shop reality show that aired last year on CTN.

Unlike Wendy Valdez who returned to the Philippines Big Brother reality show and won something they are not eligible to compete and will function as waiters.

Valdez finished third in the competition and now has her won TV show but the question is what prize is/are there for winning the Pizza House contest?

Leverton said the winner wind a motorbike and a percentage of the gross profits All of the contestants were trained how to cook take orders and be a waiter by Thailand's The Pizza Company chain at their shops in Phnom Penh. While being involved in the show the contestants receive a salary that exceeds that earned by garment workers in Cambodia in addition to room and board.

WENDY VALDEZ HOT!!!

The Pinoy (Philippine) Big Brother TV show is turning out talent like no other with one being Wendy Valdez who now has her own series "Margarita" that is gaining a lot of attention. The series is supposed to be based on her own life.

The show is about a poor girl from a shantytown in Manila who goes to Japan looking for work. A female passenger on a bus tells her that she can get a job where she works. Margarita gets the job but it's more than advertised as she has her passport taken from her and she is used and abused by here employer and sex is the issue.

Margarita steals her passport back and runs away hoping her female coworker who told her about the job will help her escape. The perceived friend turns her in to the employer and she is beaten. She finally returns to the Philippines but in her effort seeking a job the sexual harrassement continues.

This is the same old story about poor Asian girls trying to make money to help their poor family. It's a story that is as old as dirt.

The good news is the Valdez is 25 and finally getting a deserved break to show her talents. The real winner is that she is brave enough to have endured her plight but remains strong and is realizing some positive results from her suffering.

Margarita is televised on TFC (The Filipino Channel) over the ABS-CBN network that is televised Internationally.

PIRATE MASTER(S) GANG UP ON WOMEN PIRATES

It seems that Pirate Master captain Azmyth is suffering the DAH'S as in he doesn't know what he's doing. In the process by displaying an example of being something he's not by saying things that lack substance and are not well thought out. The result being he's losing the respect of his crew while being undermined by one of his officers who wants to win at any cost.

Azmyth's two officers are male and their intent is to stay together and practice a divide and conquer strategy. They enjoy conflict between the girls and want all of the strong men eliminated.

Former captain Joe Don was nominated for elimination. He's known for his greed and is perceived as a threat to the male officers. Two of the female crew were also nominated for elimination but Joe Don pleaded his case that if he were eliminated there would only be ONE MALE on the crew with FIVE WOMEN while rationalizing how can one man with a female team win against a STRONG ALL MALE OFFICER TEAM.

The result was Jocelyn "Joy" McElveen, 21 a receptionist from West Columbia South Carolina a well liked but physically weak crewmember was eliminated.

The option for the remaining dominant female crew is that they can vote for a MUTINY and eliminate the all male leadership that is now in place. Will they or won't they? Tune in Wednesday nights and find out. See the TV schedule with repeats of the show below.

JOHNNY CASH MOVIE IS ON

If you want to see a great movie with plenty of country music then tune in to the Johnny Cash movie "Walk The Line" that is being televised on the Star Movie channel in Southeast Asia.

For those that don't know... Cash is one of the greatest country singers of all time. He had problems with drugs and served time in prison but went on to overcome those obstacles to become one of the top country-recording artists whose popularity spanned over five decades. The film stars Jauquine Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon. It's a MUST WATCH
