Paris Hilton reveals GOOD INTENTIONS to Larry King

The problems for Hollywood stars continues with the latest being the DUI arrest of Lindsay Lohan who has traveled down this road with breaking the law before. It raises the question of influence and could the recent Paris Hilton jail sentence for the same repeated offense be a Hollyweird trend? Lohan's situation remains unclear but Hilton's time in the clinker gave her time to think.

Upon her release she granted CNN's talk show champion Larry King an exclusive interview. Though Hilton was criticized for holding back not being as transparent as they would like she made it perfectly clear that she wanted to help women released from jail by establishing a place for them to go similar to a halfway house since many of them were without that convince being available.

She noted that because of that situation many of the women commit other violations and return to prison.

Hilton also pointed out that she has been given criticism that she is living off of her family's money. She noted that she has her own businesses and earns her own money.

CAMBODIAN TV NETWORK ATTEMPTS REALITY TV

They may have said it couldn't be done but the CTN Network in Cambodia has been creating reality television shows. During the past year they have produced two Coffee Shop and the currently running Pizza House. With both being restaurant themes the results are not clear as to the benefit of their participation by the contestants. The question being what did they receive for their efforts?

The Pizza House participants were trained how to make Pizza by Thailand's Pizza Company a franchise owned by the Minor Group. They are one of the first foreign owned fast food chains that have attempted to do business in Cambodia. The contestants were trained at their Phnom Penh locations.

CTN has also produced a beauty/talent show that the network's General Manager Glen Felgate said was intended to find and develop talent for the network.

CTN then followed that up with two singing competitions Girl Band and the currently televised Boy Band. Like the Philippine's ABS-CBN Network CTN is marketing their programming in the USA on a pay TV basis. What are the results??? Stay tuned…

BIG BROTHER'S WENDY VALDEZ HAS TV SHOW

Though she finished third in the Pinoy Big Brother contest Wendy Valdez is receiving star treatment in the Philippines. She and her in the house boyfriend Bruce have been popular guests making the rounds on Philippine TV talk shows. Of all of the Big Brother contestants she is receiving the most exposure.

The ABS-CBN Network has developed a TV show Margarita around her. Bruce is also on the show. The program is scheduled to premiere July 30 on TFC (The Filipino Channel).

Valdez has overcome adversity since being rejected last year on the ABS-CBN Network's Dream Academy show. Much to her disappointment she failed to make it to the top 20. She then qualified for Big Brother and was popular from the start but surprisingly voted off the show in May.

In an unprecedented move she was permitted to return to the program with three other contestants that were eliminated.

Fan voting determined that Valdez would remain in the house for a second attempt to win the title.

A feud later developed with the other two remaining female housemates. That resulted in Wendy's fan popularity being diminished that factored in her fall from grace and her third place finish.

Our report on that experience The Wendy Wars rocketed to the number 3 ranking on our NR TOP 10 list for July.

Overall Valdez is a winner having had more success than any of the other contestants given her new TV show Margarita. Will her success continue? Stay tuned.

IT'S ON!!! - MARK BURNETT'S REALITY SHOWS

Realty producer Mark Burnett is rocking the TV airwaves in Southeast Asia with FOUR of his reality show, Pirate Master, The Apprentice and The Contender and On The Lot currently being televised.

Pirate Master on AXN is a reality show created by Burnett following 16 modern-day pirates on their quest for gold, which will total US$1,000,000.

In the last episode of Pirate Master Alexis Shubin 26, Laguna Beach, CA was cast adrift by the crew. Her downfall was not being a team player as she left her team in their boat as they were trying to get over a sand bar while she waded in the water. The crew was not happy.

In her explanation to defend herself before the crew voted which of the three nominated for elimination would go she basically told them that what you see is what you get. Obviously they didn't want to see or hear that attitude and the fashion publicist was voted off.

In another move the crew voted off the greedy captain Joe Don and he was replaced by a crewmember that they respected Azmyth Kaminski 26, a record producer from Los Angeles, CA .

He in turn split the found $35,000 treasure evenly among the crew whereas Joe Don kept 50% for himself that drew the anger of the crew.

In the process Joe Don lost his fancy captain's uniform and fancy living quarters and joins the rest of the crew in the dormitory type lodgings. Kaminski gets the captains hat and lavish living quarters with the two officers whom he appointed. What's next? Stay tuned or tune in Wednesday nights on AXN.

THE APPRENTICE on the Star World channel is down to the final six contestants that consist of three women and three men.

In the next episode that will be televised Thursday night the women face the men. Who will win? Tune in or stay tuned.

This series 5 introduced Donald Trumps children as judges replacing George Ross and Carolyn Kepcher who have been with the show from the beginning. Trumps children Ivanka and Donald Jr. make sporadic appearances during this series.

Kepcher heard Trumps famous words….YOU'RE FIRED when this series was completed. Obviously they agreed to disagree as Kepcher says she QUIT. It raises the question…. Believe It or Not?

THE CONTENDER series 2 has returned to the AXN network Monday through Friday twice a day. In the Thailand/Cambodia time zone it airs at 8 AM and 1 PM. This is the better of the two series since season 2 revealed more of the fighter's backgrounds and showed them with their families who came to see the contestants fight.

ON THE LOT on the STAR MOVIE channel is down to its final six contestants vying for the ultimate prize of a million dollar development deal at DreamWorks and Steven Spielberg.

The viewing audience vote to see who will be eliminated but the three judges on the show Carrier Fisher, Garry Marshall and a weekly guest judge largely influence who the viewing audience vote for by giving their critique of the contestants films. Last week we disclosed who judge Carrie Fisher is but who is the other permanent judge Garry Marshall?

Garry Kent Marshall was born November 13, 1934 in New York City, New York in the USA. He is best known as being the creator of the hit television series Happy Days that was telecast in the USA.

Marshall attended Northwestern University and is a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, where he wrote a sports column for The Daily Northwestern.

He began his career as a joke writer for such comedians as Joey Bishop and Phil Foster, and then became a writer for the Tonight Show with Jack Paar.

In 1961 he moved to Hollywood, where he teamed up with Jerry Belson as a writer for television. The pair worked on The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Danny Thomas Show, and The Lucy Show. They then adapted Neil Simon's play The Odd Couple for television.

On his own, Marshall created Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley (starring his sister Penny), and Mork & Mindy. He was also a co-creator of the short-lived sitcom Makin' It.

In 1984, Marshall had a movie hit as the writer of The Flamingo Kid. He went on to direct Nothing in Common, Overboard, Beaches, Pretty Woman, Frankie and Johnny, Exit to Eden, The Princess Diaries and The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, Raising Helen and most recently Georgia Rule.

Marshall is also a comic actor who often plays wisecracking guys who tell it like it is, and has appeared in the television series Murphy Brown and in such movies as Grand Theft Auto, Hocus Pocus, Tomcats, Lost in America, Never Been Kissed, Jumpin' Jack Flash, Runaway Bride, Orange County, and A League of Their Own, directed by his sister. He also acts in stage productions.
