The Asian hope is out but larger problems are cooing to the surface with the over the top praise and biased promotion of Phillip Phillips who has one of the worst voices in the contest. Jennifer Lopez wants to be the center of attention; rifts are brewing and SHE'S LOSING THE PLOT - Recommended TV Listings

AMERICAN IDOL IS SHAMEFUL

He was one of the loves of American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez but American voters decided it was time for him to go as he was eliminated at spot # 9. Therefore there are four down and seven to go before another crown is set on the head on the Season 11 title winner.

Han was the Asian hope in the contest. His mixed bag of humor and voice was overwhelmed by too much humor and not enough focus of being serious about his voice. His singing was pleasant to listen to but as Rocky Balboa experienced in the Rocky film he lost because he lost the eye of the tiger. Jun never had that look in his eye leaving the contest for those who are earnestly seeking to be a vocal talent and the next American Idol.

You could see Han's departure coming as each week he failed to improve and joked around too much. He didn't have the right stuff mentally and his voice could have taken him to a loftier position but he didn't do the work.

What's disturbing about this season's competition is that there's too much promotion about what the judges are doing and less about the contestants. It's a platform for Jennifer Lopez to promote herself and projects and Randy Jackson takes too much time bragging about whom he's produced, knows and what an encyclopedia of the music business he is.

At the Top 13 we rated the voices in three categories top, meddle and bottom and explained why. We also noted that as the contest progressed some contestants would improve and others would get Montezuma's revenge and fall by the wayside from the pressure of competing.

At present of the bottom five we would elevate Joshua Ledet and Deandre Brackensick. Ledet has improved immensely by settling down and singing more in his natural voice and doing less growing and using raspy tones. At first he reminded us of a poor mans Al green but Green had a smoother, silkier natural voice. He appears to be settling down and is more comfortable with the competition.

Brackensick is getting stronger and is consistent' He's OK to listen to but fore Earth Wind & Fire lead singe Phillip Bailey he is not. Bailey excelled with EWF but not so well in his solo career. We can listen to Brackensick on some songs but not an entire album which was one of our criteria of choosing the top voices.

Elise Testone is just what she is a club bar band singer. She's OK but not star material as the judges and Jimmy Iovine are touting her to be.

Phillip Phillips is the worst of the bunch. He's a great guy but for some strange reason is getting too much praise from everyone about how great his voice and talent is. THAT'S A RED FLAG that gets bigger and bigger as the competition goes on. He doesn't sing in a natural voice. He's always singing with a growl and rasp. Joe Cocker did it in a tasteful way and not over done as he exemplified in singing You Are so Beautiful and Trying to Get by With My Friends. We can't figure out how Phillips made it into the Top 25. Jennifer Lopez is in love with this kids looks and apparently she's carrying too much weight with her praise.

LOPEZ IS LOSING THE PLOT

J Lo is going wild. It seems that her ego is getting the best of her since she divorced her former husband Marc Anthony. Anthony's problem with her was that she should focus on being a mother to their two children. Now it comes to surface that the two are feuding on their finding new Latin talent TV show when Anthony took a long look at a contestant who is a dancer. He commented on her assets as Lopez looked on and made some negative hand jesters behind Anthony's back. The two are feuding on the set and things look grim for the shows future success.

Word is that Lopez is jealous of the attention given to fellow American idol judge Steven Tyler. Apparently when she signed on to do the show it was to be about her and she's annoyed that Tyler is receiving so much attention. On camera Tyler can often be seem looking away from his fellow judges and making faces when Randy Jackson goes into his encyclopedia of the music business rant including all of his credits of what he has done and how great he is.

The closer is Lopez has been seen in public with one of her male dancers in her touring show. Apparently she is annoyed about always picking up the check so she now has put him on a $10,000 a week salary so he can do it himself to save her some embarrassment.

In summary Idol has lost the plot from having a show featuring aspiring singers to now being a promotional tool for Lopez's projects and judges touting themselves about how great they are. Idol has been prostituting itself since this season began.

Last season was their best ever but apparently that was an aberration. What is shaping up is the FIX APPEARS TO BE IN to SAVE PHILLIP PHILLIPS and push him to the Top 4 if not to win it all. This could be another Pia Toscano Casey Abrams scenario and Jessica Sanchez the true talent in the competition could be the victim.

The show is sinking to an all-time low in credibility with its cheap BIASED PRODUCTION. THIS SHOW IS NOT ABOUT FINDING THE BEST SINGER IT'S NOW ABOUT FINDING TALENT THAT THE SHOWS CREATOR SIMON FULLER WANTS TO MANAGE!
