AMERICA VOTED BARBA OUT OF AMERICAN IDOL

The road to the final 12 hasn't been an easy one for American Idol contestant Antonella Barba. AI judge Simon Cowell has been beating her over the head since she arrived in Hollywood regarding how displeased he was with her singing. In recent weeks sexy pictures of the college student have surfaced on the Internet putting more pressure on the New Jersey, USA native.

Well Cowell won't have Barba to kick around anymore as America voted and she did not make the final 12 contestants that will compete for the 2007 American Idol title.

As Simon SEZ that he wished Barba could sing better he was right as the sexy pictures controversy or not her voice could not measure up to those that remain in the competition. Reports have it that Barba was offered US $500 thousand to appear in an adult film.

Given her good looks and decent voice she has a future in the entertainment business but will she make the right choice? Stay tuned…

Also eliminated on Thursday were Jared Cotter, Sundance Head the son of former rock singer Roy Head and surprisingly Sabrina Sloan who we picked to be one the top five singers on the show.

LARRY KING ON AMERICAN IDOL NUDITY

The American Larry King TV show is working overtime covering issues that arise on the American Idol show. This week it noted that Antonella Barba a contestant on this seasons show posed for sexy photos.

That's not a big deal in the Philippines. Kyana Reeves who won the Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition admitted to working for an escort service. She also noted that many of her customers were politicians.

It was revealed on the Philippines Correspondents TV show this week that the Amazing Race Asia Philippine contestants Aubrey Sandal and Jacquline Yu posed for the men's magazine FHM.

LARRY KING Show Viewers VOTE on AMERICAN IDOL JUDGES

Since our report on how harsh it seemed that the American Idol judges are showing their fangs in over criticizing the contestants this season the American Larry King TV show actually asked its viewing audience to vote on the matter. The results were that around 66% of the votes cast said the judges were NOT being too harsh on the contestants.

In the show last week after our observation of their conduct they judges did tone it down. They became normal again with Paula being nice, Randy Jackson being the man in the middle (sorry Michael Jackson) and Simon Cowell being his RAW self. This took place after our critique and BEFORE the Larry King show viewer voting.

You can say what you want about Cowell but for the most part he does get it right though he is very wordy and caustic about his reasons why.

SIMON COWELL'S X FACTOR BEING INVESTIGATED

The controversy in England over television shows that charge money for call-in telephone calls by viewers has put American Idol judge Simon Cowell on the hot spot. In addition to his American Idol job as a judge Cowell has the X Factor TV show in England that is currently being investigated for semi fraudulent behavior. Stay tuned for more on this one….

AMERICAN IDOL RACISM??

Say what??? American Idol is being accused for racism. It is hard to believe since there are several winners who are minorities. This season the top five female singers on the show are minorities. The girls are far better than the boys. If a female minority doesn't win the American Idol title then the accusations may have some relevance. Yes the television viewers vote BUT many of the judges comments INFLUENCE viewer voting. Some people can't think for themselves.

TELL IT LIKE BECKHAM

The previously reported Beckham's realities show deal with the NBC television network in the USA is a show about wife Victoria (Posh Spice) move to Los Angeles. Hmmmm. Sounds boring.

Can you believe that someone actually got paid MONEY to come up with an idea (?) like that? Go figure

Two action-packed Warner Home Video classics will explode in high definition on home theater systems April 17 with the Blu-ray Disc debuts of Enter the Dragon and The Dirty Dozen.

MORE MODELS??? - ENOUGH ALREADY

Former Top Model judge Janice Dickinson now has her own television show on Channel V. Here's the plot….

Dickinson has a model agency looking for models. She picked one girl off the street who hitchhiked to New York, had neither money nor a place to stay. Dickinson claims she came to the Big Apple (New York) the same way at the beginning of her career. Well now….

There is another show about models by Victoria Secret that is scheduled to air sometime soon on the Star World channel. Enough already.

Since Tyra Banks became successful with her Top Model show there seems to be a copycat disease going around where others want to jump on the Top Model bandwagon. Can't someone come up with something original?

Television is guilty of a lack of original ideas. When there is a successful sow others want the same thing.

In the early days of television there was a successful hospital show titled Ben Casey. What followed was a proliferation of doctor and hospital shows.

There also was a period of an excessive amount of cowboy shows that followed the very successful Bonanza.

Television networks pay people to come up with ideas. It seems some stupid networks hire stupid people. If ideas were beef the question is WHERE'S THE BEEF?

Bank's Top Model show works in part because of her popularity, professional track record (professional modeling history), good looks and her ON CAMERA personality.

The models living together are another enhancement. You can see the results on Bank's show. It is top class and they spend money on the production that is reflected on the screen. More model shows? WHY???

It seems there are problems with Cambodia's Freshie Boy & Girl talent show. People are stealing their name and credibility. Full story coming... Stay tuned.

Simon Cowell keeps saying that Paula likes him despite that they argue on American Idol. Well…. Maybe there's something to Cowell's opinion.

In 2002, Paula Abdul appeared as one of three judges for the reality television music competition show American Idol when Abdul realized that Simon Cowell's over-the-top judging style was heartbreaking for many young contestants, Abdul was so horrified, she considered leaving the show. Although their differences often resulted in extremely heated on-air exchanges and confrontations, Cowell says he played a major role in convincing Abdul not to walk off.

Abdul helped launch the The X Factor's third season, appearing at the London auditions as a guest judge alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne. That first episode of the hit UK talent show aired Aug. 19, 2006.
