BLAKE SHELTON WAS SLOW ON THE DRAW & SETS UP A FALL

In the singing reality contest show The Voice of the four judge/mentors Blake Shelton was the last to select his team of 8. During the auditions he was overly critical and selective. After the first round of auditions Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green had their team of 8 selected. That resulted in Blake having to select from remaining performances of those that failed to be selected in their first audition. Basically Shelton had to choose from left overs.

The country singing star made some bad choices. He followed up with pitting two of his team to face off against each other. He then chose the winner from their performance to go through to the live performance competition. The public would then vote for the winner. His choices eventually lost.

One of his problems was in the face off round he selected a Simon Cowell no, no by choosing the wrong song for their voices. The other problem in doing that is each singer's voice has a different comfort spot for keys in which to sing a song and not strain or force their vocal chords. He chose songs that defied that logic. His explanation was the music business is tough and that the contestants would have to face that in the real music business world. GO FIGURE…

Each coach will have their four singers compete against another team this week and next. This week it is team Aguilera vs. Shelton. Next week it is team Cee Lo Green Green vs. Adam Levine. The public will choose the top two singers from each team to go through to the next round of competition.

Shelton has had an outstanding music career. In 2010 he was the Country Music Association's Male Vocalist of The Year. During his career the 35-year-old singing artist has charted seventeen singles on the country charts, including nine Number One hits: "Austin" (2001), "The Baby" (2003), "Some Beach" (2004-2005), "Home" (2008), "She Wouldn't Be Gone" (2009), "Hillbilly Bone" (2010), a duet with Trace Adkins, "All About Tonight" (2010), "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking" (2011) and "Honey Bee" (2011). Additionally, three more of his singles have reached Top Ten: a cover version of Conway Twitty's "Goodbye Time", "Nobody but Me", and "I'll Just Hold On".

The two hour edition of The Voice show airs Sunday night and repeats Monday evening on AXN.

DICK CHENEY - JAY LENO - Leno lowered himself & cheapened his image

Former US Vice President was a guest on the Tonight with Jay Leno show that was televised in East Asia early this month. In the past we have praised Leno for his talent. He's a good interviewer and a great comedian. In his interview with Cheney Leno fell short of his potential by not being direct and answering the tough hard questions.

Cheney was on the show to promote his book. Leno permitted him to rant on about he's not going to apologize and his backing of water boarding and torture applied by the CIA. He also wanted himself and the Bush administration to receive much of the credit in the locating and the killing of Osama bin Ladin claiming the water boarding led to the information that led to his location.

True or not is not the question it was that Leno permitted Cheney to take the lead and DID NOT ask Cheney about his having to pay a $25 million stay out of jail fine for his part in a bribery scandal in Nigeria. That story was hushed up by the media. The English publication Guardian was the main source of publishing the story. No American media dealt with the subject preferring to go along as if nothing happened. Leno failed ethically by not asking Cheney very pointedly about the subject.

Cheney's point about soldiers died in Iraq brings up and interesting question.... that is... who is responsible for sending those troops there? But there's more to the tough guy politician/BUSINESSMAN.

Cheney was indicted by a Texas grand jury for conflict of interest in his role as Vice President via his investments in a private company that runs detention centers in Texas. The indictments were dismissed by the judge as invalid on December 1, 2008.

Leno dropped the ball on this one. It raises the question was he intimidated, controlled or just plain scared?
