MAVS GM ROLLS SNAKE EYES

The Dallas Mavericks have a problem on their hands. It was as if it was meant to happen. Since they traded away Luka Doncic Mavs fans have been up in arms about the trade, some signs read move the team to Las Vegas. That infers to move to the club owner's residence who is Israel's wealthiest person Miriam Adelson.

Since they traded for the Lakers center Anthony Davis it seems as if the franchise is snake bit. Since the trade Davis has played only one game. He did well but he has been on the injured list ever since.

The club's reaction was they can win behind the leadership of Klay Thompson and Kyrie Irving. Irving then had a season ending ACL injury.

That left only Thompson to step up to lead the team. The aging Thompson has done well but not enough to replace two, meant to be, Hall of Fame type players.

Although Thompson may become a Hall of Famer, his being the only one to replace three doesn't compute. With the Mavericks only making the play-in their chances to advance are slim.

One irony is Antonio Davis who the Mavericks received from the Lakers for Doncic, played one game after the trade and then went on the injured list. He recently returned to participate in the playoffs but his value to the team is naught.

The other irony is why the league permitted the trade to go through. Years ago, when the Lakers received a then young extremely productive Chris Paul, the then NBA Commissioner David Stern voided the trade.

Stern felt it would make the Lakers too strong and the trade was unfair. It raises the question why hasn't the current league administration hasn't stepped up and intervened in this trade, as did Stern?

With Doncic, the Lakers are vastly improved. There was a concern could id he and LeBron James could be productive together. The result is they can.

Doncic has been extremely valuable registering 30 point plus games and the Lakers are winning. James continues to thrive, as he has all season.

The chemistry between the two is so cohesive that it makes them strong contenders to win the NBA title. When the trade was made Mavericks GM Nico Harrison said he would stand by his decision.

To paraphrase his comments he basically said he would live by the sword and die by the sword. At this point the question is how does he want to take it to the next level by burial or cremation?

The fans have called for him to be fired or they want the team to leave Dallas and move to Las Vegas, the home of the team's owner, Adelson. Adelson is recognized as the wealthiest Israeli on the planet.

The owner of the world wide Sands hotel casino chain is thought to be worth $37 billion. She donated $200 million to Donald Trump's recent presidential campaign fund.

Adelson has been vigorously occupied recruiting young American Jews to move to Israel. That would entail for them to serve two years in the Israeli military. That would also obligate them to become baby killers in the defense of Israel.

Thus far Harrison remains in his position. The first thing that will evolve is the end of the Mavericks season while the Lakers move on to better things if not now, then in the future with DONCIC.

NBA GAME CHANGE SUGGESTIONS:

Make a rule where a team can only take 30 three-point shots a game. This will create more strategy. A shot clock can be doubled in two sections where one side is about 3-point shots taken and the other being the 24 second clock.
