THE GRAMMY AWARDS SHOW

The music industry's biggest show the Grammy Awards will be televised Monday February 9 on the Star World channel. Scheduled times are 9 AM in the Singapore/Hong Kong time zones. There is a repeat scheduled for 9 PM Monday evening. For the time elsewhere in the world check your local listings.

American Idol's Bikini Girl.

We deemed Katrina Darrell the bikini girl after she showed up for her audition in Phoenix, Arizona in a bikini. She drew the ire of the lady judges and received rave reviews from the dudes. Since DUDE Simon 'The Merciless' Cowell holds the tiebreaking vote the sexy lady received a gold ticket to Hollyweird. (Hollywood) and then the drama began.

How does the song lyric go, "I'll shed a little tear for you?" Well as they say life isn't fair but in this case the bikini girl lost the plot after she wowed AI male judges and Simon 'The Merciless' Cowell and Randy 'My Main Dog' Jackson had to suck it up as Miss Bikini showed her true colors and quit on her teammates group auditions rehearsal and went to sleep. When the other three girls went to her room to see if she was in or out she was too pooped to pop and remained in bed.

At show time the girls weren't rehearsed or ready to perform as the judges pointed out. Only one of those four contestants will advance to the next Hollywood Auditions round in hope of reaching the final 36 thus The Bikini Girl was out. The show will pick up the pieces this Wednesday (in Southeast Asia) and then things will get serious to see who will be eligible to be the next AMERICAN IDOL.

Before our sexy lady danced off into the sunset she had time to smile and blow a kiss to the camera indicating what she really wanted was some exposure for whatever she intends to do with her life. It's somewhat reminiscent of one of our American Idol Hall of Fame contestants Antonella Barba who had her 15 minutes of fame, then clashed with the 'Merciless' one before being eliminated in the final 16 round the season before last as we'll kindly refer to as the Sanjaya Malakar season which was won by Jordan Sparks. Sanjaya faired a bit better finishing in the 7th spot.

Antonella's popularity was such that reveling pictures of her kept popping up on the Internet and she was offered to star in an adult film. Did she or didn't she? Stay tuned.

The new judge Kara DioGuardi is holding her own with the well established Fab Three Simon, Randy and last but not least our gal Paula Abdul. Kara has some spunk and is not intimidated to speak her piece. She does however have reverence to Simon who is the designated tie breaker if the results are 2-2 so we shall deem him as the song goes, 'The Leader of the Pack,' bless his evil little soul. Yes we all know that we love him for being who he is or there would be no American Idol. Agree or not?

Well it's over for the Celebrity Apprentice viewers I Southeast Asia as Piers Morgan deemed the Devil by host Donald Trump was chosen as the winner over country singer Trace Adkins. Morgan won over $400,000 for his charity and Adkins $100,000. As a result of his exposure on the show Adkins had a hit song rise up the country ratings charts. The challenge
