Phil Jackson's success stems more from being a coach of talent and egos than as a player. The question is can he translate his communication and tactical skills into running a New York Knicks team from an office and not the bench - (NBA - photo)

This has been an explosive month with several stories taking the top spot. As the month unraveled Asia's Next Top Model was the center of attention only to be overtaken by our column with our spin on David Moyes' sacking by Manchester United. Within 20 hours of release that column surged up the charts to take the number one spot

RACISM RETURNS in ARCHIVES

Just when it seemed that Asia's Next Top Model (ANTM) winner Sheena Liam would be carved in stone as our reader's top choice our column on David Moyes and Manchester United became a block buster to take over the top spot within 20 hours of its release. Prior to the change in events ANTM had the top two positions locked down until the Moyes' story bolted on to the charts.

Asia's Next Top Model also held the 2nd position with the our column on the missing episode show that they claimed was canceled since Malaysian Airlines was the focal point of that episode. The cancellation decision was made out of respect for the people missing on the Malaysian flight 370. The back story was it was an episode that the explosive contestant, Singapore's Nicole Lee, was eliminated and the eventual winner, a Malaysian, Sheena Liam won her first segment in the competition. The events and results were very strange given that the airline could use some positive exposure during that trying time. It appeared to be a decision of convenience.

The Moyes column's success is understandable given that a week after his sacking as manager of Manchester United and replaced by his assistant and player Ryan Giggs the topic remains a hot story throughout the world.

Once again our television reviews in our Video Beat columns dominated the charts in taking five of the TOP 10 spots. An early that briefly held the number one spot was our report on BEWARE of Thailand's Songkran. That had a brief shelf life when the festival was over. Following our release of CNN = PIMPS or WIMPS it surged up the charts to 7th. It is a fast riser as the column was released on Friday the 25th and our sample was taken today Monday, April 28.

Another story that had the number one spot was our report on the NBA's Phil Jackson who holds the NBA record for having won the most NBA titles as a coach (10). Jackson also won a title as a player with the New York Kicks. The spin on this story is that Jackson came out of retirement to sign with the Knicks as their President. We questioned if he could translate his communication and tactical skills as a coach into running a disgruntled New York Knicks team from an office and not the bench.

Our POV - (Point of View) column: WAR... WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR? - AMERICA'S LOOSE LIPS CAN SINK SHIPS retained a spot on the charts in commanding the 6th position falling from the 3rd ranking it held in last months ratings.

The twist to this story is that CNN ripped off our WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR and used it was a theme on the Fareed Zakaria show Fareed Zakaria GPS.

No one said that CNN is original as they use videos and photos from social media sites that they claim that they can't identify the source. It's a good way of getting out of being responsible of spreading US government propaganda. The question is WHY USE IT? WHY DOESN'T CNN DO THE WORK?

SECTIONS MOST VISITED

The NBA roared up the charts taking the number one spot racing from the 10th position. The Phil Jackson and press releases were the driving forces in the leap. After a month's absence the Business section returned to take the 2nd position. Archives was the big surprise in making the charts for the fist time in notching 5th place. Our Phnom Penh section also returned ranking 8th. All other sections from last month changed positions with Boxing and the LA Lakers sections making an exit AKA a lack of interest.

ARCHIVES

Our Archives saw a surge in interest as the sub page for that category attained a spot in our top sections visited for the first time. RACIST RADIO returned again as it has several times in the past decade making it the overall most popular archive story.

Much of the interest this time is generated by the continued racist attitudes of sports fans around the world particularly in European football. It most recently surfaced this week with the LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling being an accused a racist after an EDITED recording of a conversation he had with his half black, half Mexican girlfriend surfaced on the gossip TV show TMZ.

Since that time it is major news surpassing the problems in the Ukraine, the missing Malaysian flight 370 as well as the missing bodies of the Korean students on a sunken ship. Our report focused on an American sports talk radio show host that broadcast a contrived show with then LA Dodgers pitcher Hideo Nomo and the team's owner Rupert Murdoch being the focus of the program. The radio show hosts punishment was being hired by ESPN.

We could go on and on about this story which when we originally wrote it in 1998 caused a stir in US media circles as well as in the LA Dodgers press box. The day I wrote the column I heard the story being mentioned on the radio on my way to the stadium. One there in the stadium's press box you could cut the tension with a knife. . I had to suit in front of his individual that thinks racism is a joke.

Racism is extensive in all segments of life. Whatever Donald Sterling, who is a Jew, said, it reflects a mighty whitey attitude that has existed is not new. That is evident by the European colonialism of nations around the world FOR CENTURIES. That INCLUDES AMERICA that stole the land from Native Americans by disgruntled English.

GOLD QUEST made the charts for the first time. It delves into what we perceived as a pyramid scheme. In 2005 the nation was in the midst of a rebuilding process with new businesses emerging. At the time young Cambodians were enthused at the prospect of doing their own business and having the identity of a business person.

At the time Cambodians were eager to achieve and were easy prey as they had very little business experience and were subject to being easily influenced. It was a glitzy presentation with the now Cambodian Minister of Tourism making a speech at the Intercontinental Hotel to participates that came from all over the country to get involved in the scheme. At this time we have been unable to contact or find that the company remains in business.

TOP 5 PRESS RELEASES

The top 5 press releases were in three categories the NBA (2), business (1), entertainment (1) and technology (1). The NBA has had a strong interest throughout the year with Entertainment being a close 2nd. One shocker was related to a release regarding the porn industry.

Water from the canals is often used. The canals are Bangkok's sewers. The powder thrown combined with the water creates a chalk like film that can cause damage to your belongings. Your watch that MAY BE water proof but is your cell phone, I-Pad, computer or camera?
