BOLTING TO THE TOP

In a first time occurrence two stories on consecutive days rocketed to the top of our NR TOP 10 charts and were our fastest movers. Scam City raced to the top within 24 hours regarding our report that the show could be sued for staging actions in Prague. The following day our report CRIME PAYS mostly focusing on the Discovery channel documentary SAINT HOODS regarding how Boston, Massachusetts crime gangs operate.

The trigger to this story is the relationship of how three Boston gangs operate and how they continue to relate to Whitey Bulger who committed 19 murders and was captured in 2011. For 16 years, he remained at large. For 12 of those years, Bulger was prominently listed on the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. Although he is in custody he is still feared by the gangs in the Southie turf that he operated in featured in the series SAINT HOODS.

Another surprising result was the attention paid to out two NFL (National Football League) stories relating to this season's Super Bowl. One titled BOYS FROM THE HOOD focused on how the media tried to beat down two members from the eventual Super Bowl winning Seattle Seahawks.

Many in media are known for what is referred to as digging for dirt in their effort to report a negative story or beat down someone or the team. It's the same approach being done by the Western media focusing on reporting negative stories about the Olympic Winter Games in Russia.

Both of the targets are black and both from the HOOD or inner city and an impoverished background. They come from areas where bars are put on windows and doors to keep people OUT and not IN.

Seahawks defensive back Richard Sherman was the first on the firing line. He was being berated because he verbally taunted an opponent after he intercepted a pass intended for his opponent in the Western Conference final game that enabled them to go to the Super Bowl.

The media targeted his loud language and focused on his background of coming from a poor black inner city neighborhood. After some did their homework it was later revealed that Sherman was insulted by the same player in the off the field months earlier. Also it was revealed that Sherman was a stellar student and earned a scholarship tm Stanford University which is one of the highest rated universities in America.

It also was revealed that he graduated early due to his stellar academic record and later returned to earn his masters degree.

The other target was running back Marshawn Lynch who is shy and has poor English language speaking skills. In the NFL it's mandatory for the players to talk to the media particularly for the Super Bowl where they have media days particularly for that purpose. Lynch ahs been in the league for a few years and the media is aware of his vocabulary weakness thus they went for his juggler trying to make his talk. Lynch played it off and his teammates tried to deflect the attention on him to protect him. This is another case of chicken shit media.

The other popular NFL story was a tribute to Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning who overcame what could have been career threatening injuries while in his mid 30's to return to the league after a year of recovering from surgery to set several NFL records and lead his team to the Super Bowl. It was meant to be a winners never quit story but sadly the Broncos were smashed by the Seahawks spoiling Manning's amazing season. These stories finished 3rd and 4th respectively.

Asia's Next Top Model took the 5th spot which made the charts other first of having five stories from the same month topping the charts from 1 thru 5. More amazingly is the time frame as the feat was accomplished within 19 days as we took our survey on the 20th.

Two surprises were the return interest in the My Lai Massacre which was published in 2010. Attention was largely drawn to it from the photo of the incident that we have had on the front page since the US Congress CROSSED THE RED LINE in their stance on their policies for dictating policy for the Middle East. The photo is a reminder of the American government's mistakes in the past by committing WAR CRIMES one of which was the My Lai massacre. America chooses to take the highroad and point fingers at others while not taking responsibility for their own actions.

The other surprise was the attention given our take on how NGO's titled NGO's TALK 2 MUCH = NO ACTION = 0 RESULTS. The focus of that story is how they use the child sex trade to raise money that mostly goes to supporting the NGO staffers' colonialists' lifestyle and to accommodate their party animal and alcoholic needs. They raise money ONLY to talk about the problem and nothing is done about it. The know it all NGO slimes are either too stupid or very clever to NOT DO THE JOB as if they did... THERE WOULD BE NO JOB.

THE BEAST of DEATH Israel's ARIEL SHARON IS DEAD!!! and JOSE (Mourinho) WHAT'S THE MATA are the only two repeats from last month's ratings.

SECTIONS MOST VISITED

Business continues to reign at the top of the Sections Most Visited category. New entrants are FIFA and a return of our Phnom Penh section. Much of the list remains the same with slight movements in ranking. The mystery is a return of our American Idol section. In the past we have given extensive coverage of the show but given the very questionable decisions over the past few seasons we deem the show fixed and not worthy of our time.

We do monitor it from time to time to see how the judges perform as that is one of the reasons that we have abandoned our coverage of this disreputable program. The show too focused on pimping off their judges. Idol is currently not about the talent which is demoted to be pretty much an afterthought in the priority of the production.

Our current interest is how the return of Jennifer ("I want you to win Phillip" [Phillips]) blends in with newcomer Harry Connick Jr. who is a REAL MUSICIAN and not about bullshit and the return of Keith Urban who is professional in his critiques as well as being a competent musician. Lopez appears to make decisions on wetness (go figure). She also has taken the leader role i.e. Simon Cowell and last season randy (FOG HORN) Jackson. Whateverchanges they've made we find the show more annoying than entertainment therefore interest in this category remains a mystery. We are American Idol'd.... OUT!

ARCHIVES

This month we're trying something different by researching our files for stories published 10 years ago. We stumbled on the idea when researching our search records we came across a column from 2004 about the Cambodian Film Festival that continues to create a stir. The other most viewed archive story is regarding the fate of the dismissed then Cambodian Football coach Joachim Fickert.

A worthy of note aspect of the Phnom Penh column featuring the Cambodian Film Festival is a segment reporting on the cost of food in Phnom Penh in 2004 and where to buy. If its inflation you're looking for this is an interesting read.

What stands out about the Sports Notes column is how quickly 10 pasts by. It was 10 years ago that we vented our frustration on CNN for interrupting programming with their always annoying and less informative BREAKING NEWS. It was at that time they reported a bomb was dropped on their favorite subject Israel. Following numerous interruptions on the same subject in the hour that passed by they finally got it right by reporting the noise was a SONIC BOOM! Also the FIFA standings at that time with links to stories we did on several teams listed in our early days of publishing the Sports notes column.

Several letters to the editor are included in that column with interest in Dennis Rodman, The Los Angeles Lakers and the Cambodian national football team as we were the only International source addressing that subject at that time. Yes we were the first and not the Cambodia Daily as one of their journalists informed me seven years following out first report on Cambodian football.

Thailand's then football sensations Kiatisuk Senamaung and Teerathep `Leesaw' Winothai are included in the piece. Both were signed by teams in England and had a hard way to go resulting in zero success. Senamaung went on to become the coach of the Thai national team.

Given that we did the work and have the material we will try and continue the 10 YEARS AFTER ARCHIVE selections in the future.

TOP 5 PRESS RELEASES

Sports dominate the top 5 press releases taking three of the five spots. Two NBA releases made the charts. Yahoo dominated the list in taking the top spot with Marissa Mayer president and CEO of the company outlining what their intentions are in growing their business.

Since Mayer took the job early last year Yahoo has been buying companies and trying to set themselves up as a multi media company blended in with aspirations to compete with Facebook and Google. The result has been an invasion of privacy and neglecting to accommodate their email clients as we have experienced in being denied access to our account. This is a case of spreading oneself too thin and too much too soon.

Yahoo is accused of supplying access and information to America's NSA ENABLING THEM TO SPY on the accounts of Yahoo users. They along with Google and Facebook are the companies that are the most accused of supplying the US government access to their services for spying purposes.

DENNIS RODMAN… THE PEACEABLE MAN - Here we go again! It's BEAT DOWN Dennis Rodman time again. Rodman can't win as he tries to do something US government officials can't….. COMMUNICATE. Rodman's escapades in visiting North Korea have brought him nothing but anguish. His efforts may be unappreciated but he has proved that he has more balls (pun intended) than the American government. As he speaks it is clear that Rodman is not a wordsmith but his actions show how chicken $#!t the American government officials and the Western media are. It raises the question is America really the LAND OF THE BRAVE?
